Lazy Bear Lodge Cabin is an authentic hand-hewn log cabin nestled in the woods between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The location, while remote, is convenient to both Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Drive time to the center of Gatlinburg is 15 minutes, the center of Pigeon Forge is 15 minutes, and the entrance to the National Park is 15 minutes. The Arts and Crafts community, Rocky Top Sports World, and East Gatlinburg are a short 5-10 minute drive away.

Cabin is dog friendly which I loved. Close to just about everything and still seems secluded. Screened in porch was great as mosquitos were brutal. Had no issues the several days I stayed. Was even given a heads up as bears were in the area.

We had a great stay at this place was convenient between pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. There was enough room for all six of us to be comfortable.

My family of 5 adults and my beagle stayed here for a long weekend. We had a wonderful time and loved the cabin. The host was great with communication. We had very little to complain about other than it looks like the VRBO description needs to be updated; the cabin has undergone some work and doesn't quite match the photos. Kudos to the host for working on the cabin and keeping it up to date!

We enjoyed staying in this cabin. The beds were extremely comfortable, the hot tub was inviting, and the dining room table was perfect for playing games as a family. We would have enjoyed the fire pit had we not had rainy evenings, but we DID get to see a big mama bear and her 4 cubs on the property which was thrilling for all. Overall a decent stay.

The cabin was very clean and was as described. I was extremely happy it was pet friendly. My granddaughters ( ages 13,14,15) were very happy as well. There were plenty of activities/games for them to play when we were at the cabin. We were extremely happy to see bears one day

Great time in the cabin. Hot tub was amazing. Every time we had a question or need, the owner immediately responded to our texts and provided anything needed.

Excellent stay! Clean property and the downstairs has fun game room set up with a pool table. We did not use the hot tub, but it has one and the water was clean/well maintained. The front area with fire pit is a nice place to relax and enjoy outdoors. Tight parking, but most everything is up here - it will fit two cars easily though. House had everything we needed. Overall a lovely stay and good host.

I am a native of East Tennessee. I grew up working in the Gatlinburg area in high school and college. I have traveled the world and saw some beautiful sights but each and every time I drive through the Smoky Mountains I think to myself, what a beautiful place to live.

Lazy Bear Lodge is an authentic hand hewn log cabin built in the 90s. I have newer and nicer cabins but this one is special. It sits back in the woods off of the main roadway so it gives you a feeling of privacy but you are not all alone. My family and I spent Thanksgiving here this past year and we all, agreed that this one was one of our favorites.
