Welcome to Bethany Cottage, a sun-drenched, spacious retreat located in The Sanctuary, an exclusive 23 home community in North Bethany Beach. Backing directly onto the woods of the Delaware State Parkland, this home offers the perfect blend of privacy and coastal elegance.

Exclusive 2026 Improvements:

New windows: High-performance Mon- Ray custom made sound-insulating windows and storm doors frequently used for sound abatement in all bedrooms and top floor Great Room.

Premium Flooring: No wall-to-wall carpeting! newly installed sleek Pergo and wide-plank flooring throughout for a modern, clean, and coastal feel.

Fresh Interiors: Just-completed interior painting
New area rugs, designer slipcovers for the family room sofas, and new bedspreads

Poolside Luxury: Six new chaise lounges added to the pool deck for ultimate relaxation. Many pool toys, beach collabsable wagon to carry kids and picnics to the ocean shore and pool aqua lounger for guests use.

Property Layout & Highlights:
Reverse Floor Plan: Designed to maximize light, the top floor features the kitchen, Primary suite (King), and Great room for Movie Night and family dinners.- all easily accessed via the three-floor elevator or stairs.

Entertainment Ready: High-speed wireless internet, a 60-inch Smart TV in the top-floor Great Room, and flat-screen Smart TVs (with Roku) in all bedrooms.

Private Saltwater Pool: A 10x30 in-ground concrete pool (saltwater chlorine system) backing up to the woods. Pool is unheated with southern and eastern exposure for morning and afternoon sun. Wind down with a dip in the pool after a day at the beach. The pool deck features two dining tables and a third overflow folding dining table in garage (for maximum seating for up to 16) , a Weber gas grill, and a shady covered porch area.

Ground Floor Convenience: A poolside family room with a Smart TV, pull-out sofa, and full bathroom (space can also serve as overflow 6th bedroom). Includes a butler’s pantry with a refrigerator and dishwasher for easy poolside cleanup. Wall cabinets stocked with non-breakable pool dishes and glasses

Work & Sleep: The second floor offers four Bedrooms and a dedicated den/workspace area. Bedrooms with connecting baths include: 1 Queen bed , and 2 twin beds in each of the other three bedrooms.

Location & Adventure:
Beach Access: Bike to the town beach (1 mile) or explore the Delaware State Park beaches (2 miles). A dedicated bike/walking path is located along Route One.
Local Attractions: Just minutes from world-class tax-free outlet shopping, golf courses, crabbing, fishing, and kayaking.

Great house! Our group loved the pool and outside area. And great having an elevator for my mom with mobility issues. Rented bikes for a short ride to the beach.

My family and I loved staying in this home. There was plenty of space and many gathering areas for the 10 of us, and the pool was terrific. The elevator was extremely helpful for our disabled loved one. Would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic property

We had such a wonderful stay in this house that we didn’t want to leave! The location is very convenient, the house is spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the pool is a real treat. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Great Family Vacation!

We had a great time on our family vacation in Bethany. The house was exactly as presented and had ample space for everyone. The private pool made the vacation even better and the location to the beach was close enough for even a quick trip!

Our stay at Bethany Cottage was perfect for our family!

We loved our stay at Bethany Cottage! There was plenty of room for everyone and the house was well equipped with everything we needed. We really enjoyed the pool surrounded by beautiful blooming hydrangeas. It was a great family vacation!

Nice family home

We have rented this property in the past and enjoy it tremendously every year. The location is close to everything and has all amenities one would need. It’s spacious and clean.

Great place!

Absolutely marvelous

My family and I loved the house. It had plenty of space and was very relaxing and kid friendly. We took the 15 minute drive to Rehoboth Beach which was beautiful too. I will definately come back.

Perfect weekend getaway

John and Alex were great host. Everything worked and was easy to use/figure out. Tons of beds and a great layout for entertaining. Wish it was warmer so we could’ve used the beautiful pool more.

Great family getaway in North Bethany

We loved this home! It was beautiful, the pool was outstanding, kitchen well stocked and the entire home was beautifully decorated! With 5 small grandchildren the pool was a must have for us, allowing the little ones to all nap while we all relaxed by the pool. Lovely hosts as well. Would definitely recommend!

A perfect location and great amenities

We have stayed at Bethany Cottage 3 times and value the private pool and elevator so much. We have two people with mobility issues, and the elevator is a godsend. We also love how close it is to the Indian River Delaware State Park beach -- and the fabulous Big Chill there.

Great family getaway spot

The house is in a great location. Minutes to downtown Bethany and the beaches and shopping yet far away from the noise and crowds. Also one of the few properties with a private pool. Very responsive owner. Enjoyed our stay tremendously. Would gladly go back. Highly recommend. Thank you John and Alex.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

The beach was recently replenished which brought sand and increased the size quite a bit. There are miles of state beaches within a five minute drive of our home. The town beach and boardwalk is a mile and a half away.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

Our house is located in the Sanctuary, a small community situated adjacent to Delaware State parkland. This provides a natural setting for migratory birds and sightings of heron and bald eagles. The sun rises over the ocean and sun sets over the parkland are amazing.

Being so close to town, we love going to concerts at the bandstand on the Bethany Boardwalk and going to see the Shorebirds baseball games at the Frank Perdue Stadium. Bethany is a wonderful place and very family friendly. It is also fun to take a picnic to Assateague Island for the day to see the ponies!
