BRISAS DEL MAR - KORALPOHJA

Brisas del Mar sijaitsee St Johnin rauhallisella puolella näköalalla Coral Baylle, 30 minuutin ajomatkan päässä Cruz Baystä. Huvila sijaitsee alle 10 minuutin ajomatkan päässä päivittäistavaroista, kaupoista, ravintoloista ja baareista Coral Bayssä. Useat kauniit kansallispuiston rannat ovat 15-25 minuutin ajomatkan päässä.

Huvilarakenne selvisi kahden luokan 5 hurrikaanin raivosta syyskuussa 2017, mutta kansien, parvekkeen katon ja sisätilojen korjaaminen on vienyt useita kuukausia. Siellä on uusia ikkunoita, ovia, kattotuuletin, uudet kansiraiteet, hurrikaani-ikkunaluukut, uudet makuuhuonekalusteet ja uusi kylpytynnyri. Talo on maalattu kokonaan.

Nauti kauniista auringonnoususta ja Karibian merituulet tästä Villasta, joka sijaitsee 250 metrin päässä Coral Bayn yläpuolella länsimaisella rinteellä. Tämä viehättävä satama on täynnä risteileviä purjeveneitä St Johnista ja muista satamista läntisellä pallonpuoliskolla.

Brisas del Mar on ensisijaisesti yksitasoinen huvila, jossa on uima-allas ja kansi suoraan liukulasiovien ulkopuolella. Kylpytynnyri sijaitsee alemmalla tasolla. Talossa on laattalattiat kaikkialla, katto- ja holvikatot sekä kattotuuletin kaikissa huoneissa. Ilmastointilaitetta ei ole, koska kaakkoisen tuulet ovat melkein jatkuvia. Suuri huone tarjoaa laajat näkymät East Endiin ja Brittiläisiin Neitsytsaarten läpi kahden sarjan seulottujen liukulasioikkunoiden kautta.

Kaikissa 3 makuuhuoneessa on liukuovet, joista on samanlaiset näkymät itään. Kaksi kylpyhuoneellista huonetta sijaitsevat huvilan vastakkaisissa päissä päätasolla maksimaalisen yksityisyyden varmistamiseksi. Kierreportaat johtavat kolmanteen kylpyhuoneelliseen makuuhuoneeseen, jolla on oma parveke ja upeat auringonnousunäkymät. Vuodevaatteet, pyyhkeet ja rantapyyhkeet toimitetaan.

Olohuoneessa on kaapeli-TV, WIFI-internetyhteys, DVD, stereot CD- ja kasettisoittimella, kirjat, pelit, palapelit ja trooppiset taidetta. Dinerille on runsaasti istumapaikkoja rento baarista muodollisen mahonkipöydän ääreen, jossa on kuusi paikkaa, tai nauttia näkymistä kannen lasikattopöydästä, johon mahtuu jopa kuusi. Hyvin varustetussa keittiössä on mahonki-kaapit ja työtasot, omaperäinen kivi- ja mahagonisaari / -baari, ruostumattomasta teräksestä valmistettu jääkaappi / pakastin, kaasuliesi / uuni, mikroaaltouuni, astianpesukone, kahvinkeittimet, espressokeitin, leivänpaahdin, tehosekoitin, sekoitin, keittiövälineet ja ruokailuvälineet.

Ulkona sijaitseva kaasugrilli ja pesutupa, jossa pesukone ja kuivausrumpu, täydentävät "kotona paratiisissa" -ilmapiiriä. Saaren tutkimiseen on saatavilla erikokoisia jääkylmiä ja rantatuoleja.

Rentoudu ja nauti laajoista näkymistä Coral Bayn ja Brittiläisten Neitsytsaarten saakka aina Virgin Gordaan uima-altaan reunasta tai kylpytynnyristä. Lähes jatkuva trooppinen tuulet ja useat kattotuulettimet pitävät talon viileänä koko päivän ja yön.

Pääsy Villa on seikkailunhaluinen osittain päällystetty tie, joka voi olla karkea paikoin. Vaikka käyrä ja käänteinen kääntö on alle puoli mailia, suositellaan 4-pyöräistä ajoneuvoa.

Let me start out by saying the house is awesome. The kitchen had everything we needed, the main bedroom we stayed in was clean and comfortable, the hot tub was amazing (can’t speak to the pool because the water was too chilly for us and when we were home mostly shaded). We really loved the house! Also some of the most amazing views! Woke up to chickens and baby goats just down from the patio which was so fun. On to the location, we read multiple reviews and the info about the drive up the mountain. It was still way more intense than we expected. The road is not just steep it’s curvy and very very rocky. It’s not something we liked doing at the end of a beach day at all. I honestly hate to say that because we liked the house so much. But that drive was pretty awful. We got to where we didn’t want to come back from the beach to get ready for dinner and go back out anywhere. If you know all that going in and plan to do most dinners at home or come home before dark and stay at the house then you would probably love it. But if you like to get back out some evenings just know it’s a lot of work and a pretty scary drive.

Nice amenities, plenty of space, comfy beds. Pool and sauna were nice as well. No A/C not a problem. You do need a 4WDrive to access.

Absolutely Amazing house, really rough road

We were told the roads were rough and we would need to rent a jeep, so we did just that. But once there and on the road to the house, which should be called a dangerous rocky road for women of our age (86, very active 62 and 58 yo women) with zero signage and sketchy cell service (Verizon worked best). We were told there isn’t an address per’se so we dropped a pin for the location and it took us to another road. We all decided one trip down, one trip up per day and our mother did not leave with us several days due to the road. Other than that, the house was absolutely amazing. It had everything we needed, was clean and the view is beautiful. We enjoyed the goats and mules that wondered around freely.

Fantastic private home

This house has it all: beautiful views; terrific sunrises, private pool hot tub, and comfy beds. We originally booked for 6 of us, but ended up with only two of us, and I would say you could fit 6 people but it would be tight. It was smaller than I imagined from the photos. The house had everything we needed, the hosts were incredibly responsive. The only bad part was the road getting there. Do not rent anything other than a 4 wheel drive vehicle! There are jutting rocks and very little asphalt/pavement. You cannot drive more than 5mph.

Everything was great about the house. Perfect size, nice pool, hot tub, beautiful view, great kitchen, & bathrooms.Only downfall was sections of the road to the house. Definitely rent a jeep.Even with that we will be stay here again.

We loved the setup of the house with 3 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom and acces to the outside, the hottub and swimming pool. If there is a drawback, it is the condition of the road up to the house. While driveable, it made multiple trips in and out during the day difficult.

Half glass full

Second visit to St John and this house was mediocre compared to our first stay. We would have stayed at Villa Tiffany again but it’s under construction; and our second choice home, Villa Ventosa, wasn’t available when my family of five could make the trip. This house, “while clean and offering a two star view lacks a comfortable feeling” according to two adult sons who traveled with my husband and me. The ride to the house is challenging. Close to multiple grocery stores which is a plus. Pool was not used much, water is way too cold, so hot tub was a plus. We spent our days at the beach but eat in most nights. First naught we had to change the propane tanks to cook inside and outside leaving us feeling like we were back home. And I judge on little things like is there bottles of water in fridge for all in party when we arrive after a day of travel and is there extra supplies: soap, paper towels, toilet paper; and basics like candles and bug spray available, the answer at this house is NO. At the end of the day we had a great vacation, wonderful memories made. And, when I come back, this isn’t the house we will stay in.

Stunning Views Amazing Hot Tub

The house was perfect for our annual Father’s Day trip with our grown kids and teenagers. The views were unbelievable and the road an adventure! Don’t let it scare you, it gets easier and easier each time. The hot tub was the perfect way to unwind every evening after a full day out. Several great restaurants and markets right near also.

Idyllic views and accommodations, some distance from activities

The house accommodates six adults very comfortably, with 3 spacious bedrooms each with good mattresses and pillows, and with outdoor access, 3 private bathrooms, comfortable living and dining areas and well equipped kitchen. Beach towels, coolers, beach chairs, everything you need for days on the beach. TV and internet easy to use and reliable. We loved the wall colors, furnishings and flooring throughout. Stunning views from all rooms over Coral Bay. Wonderful breezes, no insect issues. Challenges of getting up and down the very long and very rough drive made us think twice about going back into town more than necessary, though it did not feel unsafe -- just challenging, rough, and uncomfortable for one of our group with back issues.

Gorgeous view, perfect accommodations, wonderful trip!

I can't say enough good things about this house, the location, view and the support of the rental agency throughout the process of planning our stay and during our stay. The house is just as advertised and very spacious. It easily fit our group of 6 adults. The location is fantastic, just a short drive from great restaurants, bars and grocery stores in Coral Bay and a short drive to some fantastic beaches and hiking. The views from the pool, hot tub, and deck are the perfect place to relax in the afternoon and evening. We'd definitely come back and stay here again!

Wedding Dream

Our family stayed at Brisa del Mar for our daughter's wedding. It was just the of five us and Island Mike, the minister at Trunk Bay. After the wedding, we spent the week exploring the island. The house's hot tub was the perfect place to relax after snorkeling all day. Would highly recommend this house except for the drive up the hill!!! It is not for the faint of heart.

Everything was great. Views, accommodations, responsiveness of property manager, and so much more. The only drawback was the road to the rental - a bit treacherous. All in all, we loved every minute.

Worth the trek

This is the second time that we've stayed at Brisas del Mar. It is a villa high on the hillside outside Coral Bay, St. John, USVI. It is a harrowing drive up to the house, but once you've done it, it gets easier and less challenging. And it is all worth it for the view and the trade winds!

Birthday Trip

We had 6 adults and there was plenty room. The property was beautiful! The views were amazing. You have to watch the sunrise from the hot tub it's incredible. They thought of everything as far as amenities go. We never had to call for anything, they had everything on hand. The only problem is it gets hot inside the house. The breeze outside is wonderful just not as much inside the house. As long as your outside you'll stay cool

A wonderful week

The property was beautiful, the roads were as everyone described, pretty adventurous. The dishwasher didn't seem to work right so many of the cups were stained with coffee at arrival and others seemed dirty. The pool was cold but a fun addition and we loved swimming In it. Unfortunately the smell from the trash area at the bottom of the mountain was TERRIBLE (not the properties fault at all), but at certain times it would reach the villa and was super unpleasant. The beach towels and floaties were awesome! The outside cooler unfortunately was dirty and smelled terrible so we didn't use that. Overall we had a wonderful stay, Tracy couldn't have been nicer and we thank her for all the communication and meeting us to take us up to the villa. Make SURE you rent a jeep and make sure you get reservations at restaurants in Cruz Bay.:) Until next time...

Great island experience

This place is great if you want to get away from the hustle of Cruze Bay. The house is a true island experience. The drive up and down from the house is differ the what most people are used too. When they suggest a 4 wheel drive believe them. The views, the pool, the hot tub were all great. The house does not have A/C but there is always a good breeze. The house had one fan and we used that in the second floor bedroom. Any later in the summer we may of picked up another for the sensors downstairs bedroom. The house felt very safe and didn’t have any concerns. The market at the end of the road was great. The beaches on coral bay side were great for snorkeling. We had a blast and I would stay here again.

Relaxing week at Brisas Del Mar

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The property was a great set up for a party of 6, with each couple getting their own bathroom. We were glad someone met us upon arrival and drove us to the property, as directions to the house would have been complicated. I would highly recommend 4WD on your rental car. The pool was a little to cold for us on most days, but we spent plenty of time in the hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed for cooking, minus spices. The washer and dryer worked great. Lastly the views from the patio were fantastic!

Beautiful location

Brisas Del Mar was a little slice of heaven. The views from the house were amazing! We loved the deck area and spent most of our time capturing the view and using the pool and hot tub. The rooms and beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We will be back!
