Sijaitsee Cul-de-sac, joka sijaitsee suojelualueella, tÀmÀ kohde tuntuu kuin olet piilossa hiljaisella paikalla, vaikka kaikki Marathons palvelut ovat vain lyhyen ajomatkan pÀÀssÀ! Suorat veneilymahdollisuudet ulos Meksikonlahdelle ja lyhytaikainen matka Vaca Cutille tai 7 Mile-silta oceanside-veneilyyn.
Oleskelu-, ruokailu- ja keittiötilat ovat avoinna toisistaan, ja niissÀ on laaja tÀyspitkÀt lasiovet olohuoneessa, joka tuo valoa ja ulkona avoimeen tunnelmaan ja ihastuttaviin nÀkemyksiin sekÀ henkeÀsalpaavan auringonvalon vÀriin! Katettu parveke kulkee pitkin kodin pituutta, tÀydellinen aamukahvi tai hiljainen lukea. Keittiö on hyvin varustettu uusilla laitteilla ja kaikki ulottuvilla. Suuri satama, syvÀ vesi ja suojattu. Telakan pÀÀllÀ on konkreettinen step-down-alusta, joka on ihanteellinen kajakin laukaisemiseksi, kun veneet purjehtivat vain 20 metrin pÀÀssÀ veneilykanavan toisella puolella olevasta talosta.

This was the perfect property for us, my wife and I brought our 28 ft boat and this time we had to bring our dog due to construction at our home. The yard is fully fenced when the driveway gates are closed which made it convenient having the dog. The house is located on a canal which is easy to navigate and plenty deep enough to accommodate 30ft boat, the dock is also adequate for 30ft boat. The nearby boat ramp off of Aviation Drive is really close to the house and easy to access. The street to the house is a dead end with a small turnaround. With our 28ft boat and crew cab truck I couldn't turn around in the cul-de-sac so I had to back down the street to the house but it's not an issue, I was able to store the trailer inside the gate and park my truck under the house. Great property, will be back again!

Great spot for the keys

Nice house, great views, canal is easy for a boat. Great pool. Plenty of parking. Quiet, and yet close to the center of Marathon.Bring spices, celophane, tinfoil! Kitchen is great. Living room has great views and vedrooms are fine.Clean!

Do NOT recommend this rental. Poorly maintenanced and stingy owner who will babysit and dictate your entire stay. There are too many other rentals in Marathon, do not waste your vacation on this one.1. There were only 2 towels provided in the entire house. 2. AC gave away late our second night. When we called to notify them, they questioned us for having it set at 65. (We had it set at 65 because it was getting so warm and not keeping up). The owner can see and adjust the thermostat from his phone, which he did multiple times throughout our stay. They had a repair company there at 4pm. The home at this point was at 91 degrees. This ruined an entire day of vacation, as we were travelling with an infant and had to drive around to keep her cool and give her naps. We also had to eat dinner out, which we had not planned to do. Even after it was repaired, it still got up to 76-78 every afternoon. Very underequipped. 3. After the AC went out, the dishwasher broke. We were told to "hit it" and it would begin working again. 4. We were then called towards the end of our stay and pestered about paying a pet fee. This should have been collected prior to our arrival, as they knew we were bringing a dog from the moment we booked. 5. No cameras mentioned in or contract. We understand cameras on the driveway and dock for security purposes. But there is one facing the pool and a motion detector in the living area that we believe also has a listening device. This was very invasive.

Spring Break 2025

Loved this property and location. House is at the end of a channel leading to a bay. We rented two kayaks for the week and were able to easily put them in and out of the water right from a platform at the end of the dock - so convenient. The pool was great and beautiful at night. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable; Fridge has ice maker and cold water dispenser - really great to have. Loved Marathon Key - very laid back. Great restaurants.

"Surprise"

We booked our gamily Spring Break trip last yr and we got a big surprise when we checked in. The owner had added a brand new swimming pool that we really enjoyed. Very clean home away from home on the canal and over looked the water. Close to everything that we enjoyed which was fishing off of the long key bridge, the aquarium and shops. The only thing we needed with our lining was wash cloths to bath with. We had to go out and buy some. Also if the owner could add a pool net for renters to help keep pool cleaned out. When the wimd blows the palm trees leave debris in the pool. Kitty was very helpful with everything we needed when it came to the cable going out which was strange. The pool kept us busy while that happened. Vacations are always to short our week was very relaxing and enjoyable. Most definitely advise other people to come and enjoy.

Fabulous Spring Break with Friends

This house is AMAZING, perfect for 4 adults and 2 teens. The living space was great! Nice kitchen and dining table. Living room very comfy with sectional couch and TV. The balcony was awesome for morning coffee and excellent for watching the sunsets! The pristine pool, sun deck, and dock were the best part of the place. We easily launched our kayaks from the swim platform and caught several types of fish from the dock. The pool was super clean with nice entry steps, shallow elevated sunning area and underwater seating. We paid the heating fee which was great for this time of year. The lush landscaping and mature palm trees around the pool provided the perfect amount of shade to relax in the beautiful hammock next to the pool. The canal/ open water view from the backyard were breathtaking! The neighborhood is so peaceful! Large space under home to park to trucks was convenient and we used the gas grill in this area as well. The location is excellent (near small airport, but this did not bother us at all). Easy drive to Sombrero Beach (10 mins) Bahia Honda (25 mins) and Key West (60 mins). We enjoyed LJ’s Cafe Guava Pastries and Cuban Coffee that we would take to watch Sunrise at CoCo Plum Beach (totally unobstructed view). We had great meals at Island Fish Co, Sunset Grill and FL Keys Steak and Lobster. Captain Pips (10 mins from house) Sunset Snorkeling Excursion to the Sombrero Reef was so much fun! Highly recommend this property!

Great Middle Keys Home

The house was great. It’s located very conveniently at the entrance of the canal leading to the Gulf. We enjoyed swimming off the dock platform during high tide, but I understand the owners are building a pool. It’s a comfortable home. The view upstairs towards the Gulf cannot be beat. Would definitely stay here again.

Heaven

I fell in love with this beautiful home! The house itself is gorgeous, the location is perfect, and the view is breathtaking. You can honestly just stay at the house and do nothing but take in the beautiful view. My favorite was feeding the gorgeous fish in the canal oats from the bait store to capture their beauty. FYI VRBO gives you a wrong time to check in so don't follow that time. I can't wait to go visit again, until then back to cold Michigan I go!

Great location. Nice deck overlooking the water.

Our stay was good. House was as described. One fence was locked which made it difficult to park two cars and boat. The front area is smaller than it seemed in pictures which made it a bit difficult to park a 24ft boat for a couple days.

We repeated ! We love this place

I totally recommend you this place! The pictures are accurate but I think are even better. You can see the sunset in the bay. The process to rent the apartment is easy, replies fast. We location of the house is really good with very nice water views. The house is clean and the kitchen is well equipped. For us is one of our favorite places! 5*!

Relaxing

The home was very comfortable and clean, exactly as pictured. The location was relaxing without a lot of boat traffic. Although the airport is close, the noise was not too disrupting. We did enjoy a few days with a manatee in the area and a dolphin. It would have been nice if there were kayaks available on the property and a couple more comfortable chairs on the deck. All in all, it was great.

Nice property but a couple of issues

The home was accurate as shown on vrbo. Clean, good location relative to town, nice view. I liked the concrete swim platform that was either slightly under or over water depending on the tide. Did not like that the home had no scissors, pizza cutter, cooking oil, salt & pepper. I personally think those items are obligatory in a home priced at this rate. The welcome package from the realtor contained trash bags and cleaning supplies. I thought that was a bit cheesy. Cookies or chocolates would have been much nicer. There is also noise from a construction site or junk yard or I don't know what, coming from the jungled area behind the home, and that went on pretty much all day every day. Otherwise had a nice stay.

Relaxing week

We had a nice week relaxing by the water and exploring the area. First time in Marathon and this place was in a perfect central but secluded location with airport noise nearby. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything for cooking to include a gas grill, there were 2 ice makers and the beds were comfortable and they provided bath and beach towels. Check in is at 4pm at the rental office even though VRBO says 3pm. One thing to be aware of, you will have bring virtually everything besides what I mentioned above, paper towels or knapkins, toilet paper, spices, beach chairs, Kayaks, bikes, etc.. Was disappointed but I should have read the description better, it is Key West, nothing is cheap. There are camera's on the property and a motion detector in the living room not sure if they were active but they lit up when you went by.

Beautiful home with a gorgeous view

My husband and I stayed there with my brother, his wife and his two kids. It is a beautiful home with a gorgeous view. Beds were comfortable, towels are provided and there is a full size washer dryer in the hall closet (bring your own soap/fabric softener/dryer sheets). I wished they would have had an inventory of what was available in the kitchen to cook with as we were doing Thanksgiving there. The kitchen did have a mixer, blender, microwave, toaster oven, lot of plates, bowls, cups, serving dishes, cake pans, basic pots, cooking utensils, a variety of frying pans, lids and a limited supply of silverware. We had to wash forks, spoons and knives often because there were just enough for a meal, nothing extra for serving, etc. We did end up having to buy foil, a cookie sheet, cupcake pans and a roasting pan which we took home with us :-) They only provided one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom for 7 guests for a week (a 2-3 day supply). No hand soap in the bathrooms, paper towels or extra garbage bags for the kitchen trash can (there were garbage bags there but they were for very small trash cans.) So we did need to buy extra toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels and garbage bags. Telling you all this so you can be prepared and bring your own or that you will know you will have to buy it at Publix conveniently about 2 miles away. We went snorkeling there which was nice. There is a concrete platform in the water that would make it easy to launch a canoe or kayak from (you will need to bring). Lots of bridges nearby to go fishing from. Enjoy your stay!

Wonderful summer time sunset view.

Great location to the bay and Atlantic. Worked well for 3 couples. Had everything we needed. A liitle difficult to turn around pulling a trailer.

Excellent location

The Gulf Vista pics are accurate. The location is excellent. You have close the airport, for us the noise wasn’t an issue however could be for some people.

Marathon Key Gem

What a fantastic stay we had in Marathon. To start our vacation Sat morning we received a text from the airlines at 5am that our flight was cancelled. No re-booking, no suggestions, just cancelled. After rebooking on a later flight we ended up getting down to FL 5 hours later than we expected and was after 5pm. I called Kitty and left a message in a little bit of a panic because I had missed talking to her before our flight took off. I left a message around 7pm hoping I would hear back from her before we left Miami to drive down to the Keys. Within 10 minutes Kitty called me back and gave me instructions on how to pickup the house key. And she followed up with a text just to make sure I had everything. Thanks again Kitty. We arrived at the house around 10pm and unpacked. Then were able to relax out in the back under the palm trees and talk. Everyone thought the house was fantastic. This was our 5th time vacationing in the Keys and have stayed in Key Largo, Islamorada, and now in Marathon. I thought this location and house was the best so far. We found the sunsets in early June to be better than from Mallory Square in Key West. Kayaking was great in the bay behind the house and the kids did some swimming and snorkeling as well. A couple jellyfish stings put a damper on swimming one evening, but the girls got back in the next day. A great house that had everything we needed. Hoping we can work it out to stay again next year, but may need to upsize for 3 additional family members joining. For the 5 adults we had on vacation this year the house was perfect.

Beautiful house

Easy to reserve with everything online. Easy pickup of keys. Instructions were easy to follow. We loved this house. Brought our boat. Location was perfect for us. Large group of manatees by the dock. Beautiful sunsets. We would definitely rent this place again.

Family Vacation

Both Friends and Family loved our rental. View from the house was beautiful. Only drawback was the airport close by and the private jets could be loud at times. Would we rent again??? Yes
