Tervetuloa korkealle maalle! Rakastamme kotiamme ja haluamme jakaa sen muiden kanssa, tuoda iloa ja ikimuistoisia lomia kaikille. Et tule pettymään upeasti varustetussa vuoristokodissamme. Luotan siihen, että otamme huolen irti perhelomastasi, tuo vain henkilökohtaiset tavarani ja nauti. Voin todella sanoa, että tämä on yksi lomista, joita vaalitte ja muistatte. Joten älä epäröi tehdä kodistasi omasi, viikon, kuukauden tai koko kesän ajan.
Kotimme kohokohdat ..... 3 kerrosta, joissa on erilliset olohuoneet ja makuuhuoneet. Tämä ei jätä syrjäyttämistä ja paljon henkilökohtaista tilaa. Jos kysyt minulta, tämä on numero 1 -ominaisuuksemme, erityisesti monen perheen tapaamisiin.
Palvelut ovat runsaasti alueemme, golf, tennis, melonta, vaellus, koskenlasku, letkut, ratsastus ja vain rentouttava, muutamia mainitakseni. Niille teistä, jotka vierailevat ensimmäistä kertaa, voin varmasti ilmaista mielipiteeni ..... PALAUTTAT !!!

Wonderful Family Gathering

Family Ski Trip

Great location for our ski trip with plenty of parking for our 3 families. Layout is great with the 3 floors giving plenty of space for everyone to spread out or come together on the main level. We enjoyed the fireplace! Stayed nice and warm! Kitchen could use some updates. Would have been nice to have more than one towel for each person. Bedrooms were comfortable enough with plenty of space for the 12 of us. Saw deer in the yard a couple days. Owner was very communicative and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.some

Family Vacation

Wonderful home! So much space for family with different ages to have their own space yet common space large enough for everyone to be together. Location great too! Host was over and above helpful and accommodating!!

Great Ski House

What a great place! We really enjoyed our stay here. The owner, Ken, was great to work with, and the house was perfect for our needs. Plenty of room and comfort for our crew, clean, and very close to skiing/ town. Thanks Ken, we will be back.

Perfect Getaway

This was our second Thanksgiving holiday in this home. It’s perfect for large families and groups. Conveniently located and pretty easily accessible. It is an older home but perfect when you have lots of kids. We had no need to speak with the owner this year, but last year when we did he was very kind and helpful. Overall great experience.

Year 2 and Loved it Even More

I am the president of a women’s rugby team at UNCC and we stayed at this cabin for the 2nd year in a row for an annual fall tournament. The house suited out needs perfectly and it’s looking like it will be the “official” cabin we stay at for years to come!

Large house but needs some attention

We loved the layout of the home and the size of the home fit our families really well. There were lots of minor/medium level issues that would make the stay better for future renters. We had lots of problems with hot water (the hot water heater is off when you arrive and you have to turn it on when you get there, then you just wait for it warm up before using it; also, the hot water doesn’t stay warm very long for a house that large). Also, one mattress didn’t have a mattress cover on it - just sheets on an bare mattress, and there were several small issues like this that made the home seem like it wasn’t cleaned well before our arrival. We had to borrow pots from a nearby neighbor’s house to make dinner the first night we were there because the kitchen isn’t well stocked with pots, and we found lots of chewed up napkins in a bottom kitchen drawer that appear to have gotten eaten by mice. Also, the top step on one of the stair ways was very loose and seemed dangerous for our children. We likely wouldn’t return because of these issues, but all of it seems to be fixable for future guests. Positives: the wood burning fireplace is lovely, and the views are great. The location in proximity to Sugar Mountain is also good.

Great Family Reunion

The house was very conveniently located to all the attractions that we went to (including the grocery store multiple times lol). There was 14 of us in the house with plenty of room and with three floors, it didn't seem crowded at all. While we were there, we experienced a power outage while it was in the twenties outdoors. The owner of the house responded to my 7am text in less than 5 minutes (amazing response). He contacted the power company immediately who responded and rectified the issue with two power trucks in less than an hour❤️. As the owner indicated in our pre-arrival email, you may need an AWD or 4WD vehicle if the driveway is wet or it's snowy as it is not paved. Really the only negative thing I could say about the house is that it could use some updating of some appliances and furnishings. We would definitely rent again if in the area.

Perfect location

This property is literal minutes from sugar mountain resort, grocery store, & restaurants. The location couldn’t be better. The layout was perfect for our large group & we never felt cramped. Ken went above & beyond for us when we had an issue (unrelated to the property). He was understanding & flexible. Great host!!

Skiing at Sugar Mountain

The place was exceptional for the 12 people. The house was clean and well stocked. It was the perfect place to relax after a day on the slopes. The wood fireplace was perfect as well. There were no complaints about the property.

All it promised

We loved this property. It was everything it was sold as. There was plenty of space for the family and lots of opportunity for the kids to play outside and enjoy the area. The owner was very accommodating and was easily accessible. We were very pleased.

Good place to stay.

House was clean. There were leaves in-front of the house and on decks. When we arrived at night, we were nervous as we couldn't see the path at all. Other than that, it was a nice place to stay. Management was very quick to respond.

Good spot to explore the area with plenty of room

This three level house had plenty of bedrooms with king or queen beds, which was important for our mostly adult, multi-generational group. The location made it easy to explore the area - sugar, banner elk, Boone, blue ridge parkway, blowing rock, and more.

Great Family mountain house

Great vacation. Owner was very accommodating and easy to work with. House had plenty of room and kitchen was well stocked. A/c unit upstairs was badly leaking water into bowls which would spill over everyday. Had to keep dumping bowls. Decks/porches need to be cleaned. Really had a great time at the July 4th festivities in Banner Elk. Enjoyed the fireworks from Sugar Mtn. Would stay here again.

nice place for large family

We had a large family of 8 ADULTS and 5 children. We had ample space for sleeping and beds comfortable. Kitchen had all needed. Downstairs shower hard to use but others adequate. The place could use an upgrade in technology and TV in middle bedroom cable non functional. Owner probably could get free upgrades with a call. More lighting needed and a few hugger ceiling fans would help with summer heat and lighting. Outside deck in dire need of cleaning and not useful. A few cheap outdoor chairs and deck cleaning would enhance the place for summer use. Also lock box a pain to use. A simple key code lock would resolve this with little cost and no need for key which I constantly worried about losing. Spiral staircase for 3 floors tight for those with handicaps and stone entrance to house had loose stones and a fall hazard if not careful. All this meant for constructive criticism. With these corrections this house would be a gem. It is close to all and the layout ideal for a large family. We enjoyed our stay and if these small corrections made I would give the place a 5 star rating.

The proximity to my year round home/work is most convenient. My family consists of 5 boys and one girl, one of our great past times is snow skiing. This home allows for us to bring our children and their friends to enjoy the winter months in the snowy mountains of NC.
