Family Reunion

We were on Kent Island for a family reunion. This property comfortably accommodated our group of 6 adults and 4 children ages 10-16 (3 families). The bedrooms were large enough and spread out enough to allow for privacy and quiet spots. The volleyball court was a big hit with everyone. There were many games and additional game equipment available. Great weekend. Thank you. This is a second rental we have made with Donna and will be back again.

We stayed for a short visit at the house and loved it. With two young kids, there was plenty of grass to run around in and they loved the beach volleyball court. Donna was very helpful in addressing any needs we had. Would definitely rent again!

Wonderful stay

The kids and I really enjoyed this cute pink house! Donna takes great care to provide games and special accoutrements that we found so convenient. The house has a terrific location near the water, marina, and restaurant. Grocery and Rita's are a few mins drive.

Beautiful home with lots of room. Well stocked kitchen. Lots of linens and towels. Great location. Lots of books to read and toys to play with. We loved playing corn hole. You can go relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Great location! Clean and comfortable.

We had a great weekend at this house. My only complaints are that the WIFi was sketchy at times making it difficult to use. Also, there was a definite odor of carpet shampoo in the family room that was overwhelming on the first night. Other that that it was a wonderful stay.

I rented this home for my family all 12 of us. It was a very warm and inviting home, well maintained. the owner were very responsive. Plenty of room and lots of fun volleyball tournaments. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Great memories made.

Great spot for a low-key weekend with a bunch of guys

Got together with some old friends to catch up over beer. Were looking for a spot near not-fussy golf and food near the water. Unbeatable location for both, a couple minutes drive to Blue Heron and about a one minute walk to the marina. The kicker was the beach volleyball court which we put to use despite the 90 degree heat. House (and importantly the air conditioning) were just great.

A great mini getaway

This was a great property for the family. The kids loved the sand pit! The house was stocked with toys and many other amenities. Everyone in the area was so nice. Waterman Joe’s had great coffee, Captain Troy gave us a wonderful boat ride, the Kentmorr Restaurant/dirty Dave’s was very convenient, Amalfi Coast has great Italian food and Stevensville crabs were good. Donna was awesome and even checked in to make sure we were good the night we had a storm. Would love to stay again!

Perfect Family Getaway

This was the perfect little getaway for our family! The house is clean and well-stocked so you can drop your bags and have a stress-free vacation. Our young son loved playing in the yard/ sand court with all of the beach toys and balls provided. We also enjoyed going to the Matapeake beach and getting delicious take out from Kentmor restaurant. The island is kind of quiet but it was perfect to get away and have some outdoor fun during Covid times. Donna, the owner, was VERY fast with responses/ communication and very friendly. Would highly recommend this property!

Easy, relaxing getaway from Baltimore

The house was great, with all the rooms/furniture/amenities as described. Seemed very clean, which we were concerned about during covid times. Our toddler kids enjoyed the volleyball sand court, hanging out in the shady tree, and even found a baby bunny in the garden. The boombox tape player works! Kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, utensils for cooking. Note there were plenty of spices and oil for cooking, but no condiments like mayo, and mustard. For those hoping to enjoy the beach at the restaurant next door, it opens at noon and got pretty crowded, so we didn't attempt. Matapeake beach up the road was pretty nice.

Amazing Home for Young and Young At Heart

Donna and Bob have thought of everything at this house. We've rented many vacation homes and without a doubt this was the cleanest and most well stocked of any. My daughter and I are both sensitive to smells and found this house to be completely neutral ... no musty, stale, or disinfectant smells here! That is a first. I prepared 18 meals for 7 people over the course of six days and never once had to "make do" with any utensils, dishes, pot, pans, etc. There was an array of ages in our group (3, 5, 5, 40, 45, 68, 75). The layout of the house gave everyone plenty of space to spread out and enjoy different activities without getting in each other's way. And then there is the outside/yard. The deck and beach volleyball court were "ground zero" for some serious play. Many sand castles and games unfolded out in the sand. One morning, Grammie enjoyed 6 am coffee watching the young ones play in the sand in their jammies while mom and dad got some extra sleep. Swimming at Matapeake and Terrapin Parks was very (Covid) safe as the parks are not busy during the week. All the beds are very comfortable and the rooms are very quiet. It was extremely hot during our stay but the AC did a great job keeping the house evenly cool from one end to the other. Sunsets are breathtaking. Donna and Bob are very thoughtful and helpful ... they will never be intrusive, but you know they are at the ready to provide assistance if needed.

Great stay!

We rented Donna's house for 10 of us in for a family wedding for a weekend. There were plenty of beds, linens, kitchen supplies, everything we needed. We wish we'd had more time to use the volleyball court and outdoor spaces but we were busy all weekend with wedding events. Donna was very easy to communicate with and was able to let us stay an extra hour before checkout, which we really appreciated! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. The only thing we wished for is a light over the table for playing our rousing cardgames!!

Spacious, well stocked with things we forgot, FUN!

We enjoyed the beautiful house with more than enough room for 3 adult couples and two younger people. We appreciated everything there for us to use that we might have forgotten. And how can you not have fun with a volleyball court in your yard!?

Amazing Stay

This house was amazing, and Donna was great. She ensured everything was ready to go and set up exactly when it needed to be. When we got there we were shocked to see how stocked the house was with stuff. The games, the kitchen supplies, etc. was more then I have ever seen. I will definitely stay here again. Thanks again Donna!

Great place to stay for a family vacation!

Highly recommended! The place was perfect. Mytribetv adult children and 4 my grandchildren had a ball. Very nice accommodations. The food, the marina and the fishing; everything was just what we wanted. Thank you so much! We will be back!

Perfect spot for a weekend away

The house was perfect for a long weekend getaway! Extremely clean and amazing location. Donna was extremely responsive and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back!

Responsive host and beautiful location

Host Donna was very responsive and took very good care of us. The house is located in a very pleasant neighborhood with good amenities provided for kids and games. Beautiful getaway place for friends and families. Although the house has only 3 bedrooms and the 4th one is kind of movie room with tv’s and sofa’s which can be used to sleep.

The view is something that a Google map just can't do justice. Your own private Beach Volleyball Court awaits you or bring out our Tug of War Rope or enjoy bean bag toss on the Corn Hole Boards! This is our home away from home too and not just your little cottage on the beach with minimal views. When you are not renting it we are enjoying it and always trying to make it better inside and outside for families, friends, and guests. Friends want to know when we will change our mind about the rental and move in ourselves. They consider it an all inclusive BAYcation overlooking the Chesapeake Bay! Recently a guest commented that the home is simply sneaky big inside with lots of room for family and friends. We love to watch the fishing boats, cruise ships, and the freighters waiting to get into port. It is fantastic to have a choice to prepare a fresh rockfish in the oven, cook up some steaks on the grill, steam some crabs, or just walk over to Kentmorr Crab House for some happy hour goodies or a fantastic dinner not to mention their pizza. Other times it is just great to relax in the master Whirlpool jetted tub with a bottle of local wine. Bob can even enjoy Nascar on the big screen while I have some quiet time in the living room or on the deck enjoying the gorgeous Chesapeake Bay sunsets to prepare myself for the next day.
