Villa Amaryllis is a lovely spacious property, and very private despite other nearby villas. The views across the valley are stunning. Spyros met us at the house and showed us around and even took us to grab some shopping. It is a bit more remote than expected but still not too far from Corfu town.kitchen roll,

Lovely villa, a car is a must but we loved being away from everything. Really spacious and very well equipped. Gorgeous views and handy supermarket and easy access to main routes. Lovely restaurants a 5 min drive.Our teenagers loved the downstairs self contained area (part of the main villa) to have their own space. And we loved all the balconies and lovely seating areas.

Fabulous house and holiday

Lovely, large house, over 3 floors. Clean and tidy, very comfortable. Kitchen equipment a bit lacking but adequate. Fantastic outdoor space, pool, fig and olive trees on a large, very private plot. WiFi acceptable but not amazing. Pool towels provided. Quite rural, very little in the local area although supermarket very close by. Meant it was very peaceful which was lovely. Spiros was a great, knowledgeable host, thanks.

We had a lovely stay at Villa Amaryllis. About 10 minute drive from the airport but not much disturbance from planes when trying to relax. Spyros was an excellent host! We could not fault him. We had no AC working in our bedroom. This isn’t something he can repair obviously so we were to expect an electrician the following day however he still came out at 1am to bring us a high power fan to manage. The electrician couldn’t fix it so we needed a replacement unit. Again, we had to wait a few days as expected but we were offered the sofa bed in the lounge and fresh sheets were brought round with no trouble. Electric does flicker in the evenings. I believe the power supply on the island isn’t great. Good facilities which are clean. The villa has aged since the photos were taken for the advert but still clean and tidy. The pool was a fantastic size but was possibly the only part of the villa that wasn’t particularly clean. There was no evidence of a pump and the pool floor had quite a bit of debris in. The paint is also starting to flake. Easy fix… new pump, good scrub, fresh paint and a ‘swimming pool attendant’ to visit every other day to maintain properly. We were comfortable during our stay. The drive up to the villa isn’t pretty but this is generally common in the area. We wouldn’t visit Corfu again for this reason. Lots of litter, sewage issues and wasps are a pest. Thank you Spyros for being a great host. We couldn’t have asked for more from you!

Great villa, great host!

We are a family of five with a 12 year old and 8 year old twins. We’ve stayed at many villas in central Corfu, since we visit every year to see my parents who retired here. This villa was one of the best overall experiences we’ve had. It’s spacious and well equipped. The pool is a good size with a gradual gradient up to 1.8m and was clean. We loved the outdoor eating area which was well shaded by the olive tree with far reaching views across to the north of the island. Our stay was made all the better due to Spyros, our host, who needs a special mention. He was friendly, professional and flexible when it came to accommodating our requests. He really the made the difference to making this a great stay. Thanks Spyros! We’ve got every intention of staying here again next year.

First time visiting Corfu

We just had a week at Villa Amaryllis, and we are already talking about returning next year. The villa is about 15 minutes from the airport, just off the main road. A taxi will cost you about 30 euros. The bus stops on the main road at the entrance to the villa road. There is a small Proton supermarket within walking distance and several others a short drive away. I would recommend hiring a car. Beaches to the east and west are approx a 30-minute drive. The views are amazing. Although there are a few other villas nearby, you are not overlooked and the outside areas are completely private. It's on 3 levels. The lower ground floor really is more like a self-contained flat. All rooms have outside terrace areas. The kitchen has everything you need. The beds are very comfortable. It's very clean. Towels and bedding were changed once during our week stay. It really is the outside space that makes this villa. The pool is great with a sun trap and loungers at the back. There is a barbecue and outside dining area under an olive tree near the pool, and another table with chairs on a terrace next to the living room. Downstairs is a ping-pong table and covered terrace area. Spyros is a great host. There is a welcome basket with some provisions. He provided us with recommendations of places to eat and areas to visit. Plugins for the mosquitos are provided and the local supermarkets/ chemists sell sprays etc. You will need them! Corfu itself is amazing. We will definitely return.

Belle maison spacieuse

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour avec toute ma famille. La maison offre toutes les commodités. La piscine est très appréciable. Ménage régulier et très bonne communication avec l’hôte.

We had a great time. Large villa with great outdoor space and fantastic pool and bbq. Property is probably in need of a lick of paint but that’s all. It is well appointed with everything you’d need. Check in was great and even accommodated a later check out after flight changed.
