Escapade capone familiale au bord du lac Ă  Serene Lakes, Soda Springs

Cette charmante maison avec vue sur le lac est située à Soda Springs, à seulement 16 km avant Truckee. L'accÚs au lac est un saut à travers la rue sans barriÚres! Une ceinture verte se situe entre le lac et notre maison. Avec une vue imprenable sur le pont des lacs sereins ainsi que de la Sierra Nevada, vous pouvez vous détendre et respirer l'air frais de la montagne sur notre grande terrasse qui peut facilement s'adapter à tout votre groupe. Si vous venez de la Bay Area, c'est un endroit fabuleux car c'est moins d'un lecteur et moins le bruit et la circulation du lac Tahoe. Cette communauté familiale trÚs conviviale est parfaite pour des retraites en famille ou simplement pour se retrouver avec de bons amis. Avec beaucoup de choses à faire en été comme en hiver, les amateurs de plein air vont adorer ici!

Juste derriÚre la maison se trouve la plus grande station de ski de fond d'Amérique du Nord, Royal Gorge. Une luge fantastique est commodément disponible sur le cÎté de notre propriété. Plusieurs stations de ski alpin sont à quelques minutes! De Sugar Bowl, Donner Ski Resort, Soda Springs Ski Resort à Boreal. Northstar et Squaw Valley USA sont un peu plus loin! De plus, nous avons des skis de fond et des bottes à votre disposition ainsi que des traßneaux pour des activités plus prÚs de chez vous.

L'Ă©tĂ© est tout aussi spectaculaire avec des activitĂ©s telles que la randonnĂ©e Ă  vĂ©lo (vĂ©los disponibles Ă  la maison), les promenades autour du lac (3 km), la natation, la pĂȘche, la pose sur la plage (jouets de sable et parapluie disponibles), le canoĂ« (Ă  vous d'utiliser) et stationnĂ© commodĂ©ment sur la rive du lac), le kayak (kayak pour un homme situĂ© dans le garage), le barbecue sur le pont, la randonnĂ©e et bien plus encore!

The house is cozy and comfortable with a beautiful view and balcony. Adults, teens and kids enjoyed sledding down the hill on the property and walking around the lake. Ski rental shops and ski resorts are nearby. We cooked a lot in the kitchen, which is fairly well equipped. Heating and WiFi are good; we especially enjoyed sitting around the pellet stove-heated living area with its lovely view. The owners were very responsive and allowed us to use their power generator during the power outages this winter. This is our second time spending a week here over Christmas break and we plan to come back! We will bring more TP next time, though.

This a fantastic house, especially if you have kids in your group!! We had eight adults and seven kids, ranging from 2 to 12 years old. Our stay was in August. We used both canoes, the kayak, and the paddle board every day! We also used several of the bicycles, some of the beach toys, and the beach umbrella. The foosball table was in constant use. And the kitchen is VERY well stocked with pots and pans, and several large cooking pots and baking dishes. Five kids slept upstairs in the loft and loved it! So I would highly recommend the Capone house to anyone visiting Serene Lakes! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there!!

This is our fourth visit to the Capone's wonderful cabin at Serene Lakes. It accommodates our entire family (ages 3 to 74) very well. There are enough nooks for the quiet ones to find a peaceful spot, tables for board games, and wonderful bikes, kayaks and canoes to be used on the lovely lake and quiet mountain roads and paths. Thanks Capone family!

Wonderful, peaceful getaway! Beautiful location right across from the lake with a close dock to go in kayaks and paddle boards. The hosts graciously let us use their canoe and other fun equipment. The kids could ride bikes in the street with very little traffic. We even had lots of wiffle ball games in the street too. It was a wonderful vacation!

Great host and location

One of the most beautiful locations in Soda Springs on a 'Serene Lake" very comminicative and warm host.We were 12 and the place was good for all of us with all the ammenties needed. Wifi worked great.Only feedback from some in the group was a few beds were not "firm".. other than that we had a great time. Kitchen was well equipped, grill was good and the host was kind to trust us with the canoe and bikes which some of us used.Even though it was a surprisingly cold wave - we got flurries in June... some of us ventured and took the boast out. It was very nice and the lake is calming.the neighbood is very friendly too with a mix of owners and renters.Thank you for sharing the property with us

Winter fun at Capone house

The home is comfortable and warm for our 6 adult & 5 children's yearly winter fun. Hosts are responsive, helpful, prompt, and nice. Everything we need (except food & drink) are provided. We create and enjoy our own sled run on the property. We stay cozy inside playing games and being together creating memories.

The house was clean and the location is great. The kids had a great time and especially enjoyed the loft. The only complaint that we had was the beds, the mattresses seemed old and were not comfortable. But other than that we really enjoyed our stay there.

Cross country ski get together

Fantastic in every way. Ski out the door up the hills behind. Cross the road to ski on the lake. All five bedrooms fine with 4 of them very nice. 4 of us used the skis provided. Book collection good. (Didn’t find any games or puzzles so bring them if you want) Kitchen very nicely equipped. Nice big oven. Lots of pans

First Stay at a VRBO

I was a little apprehensive about our stay since I had never stayed at a VRBO before and had no idea what to do or expect. Before I booked, I was messaging questions to the owner and she was extremely helpful which made me comfortable enough to book. The communication from the beginning to the end was top notch. It was exactly as presented, fit all of us (14) ranging from adults, pre-teen, kids and baby, comfortably. The snow was in abundance and we all had a great time. We definitely planning on doing this again and would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Winter wonderland

Our group of 4 families enjoyed the area and the house. There is walking, skiing and snow play close by, a well-equipped kitchen with a large table and lots of DVDs to watch in the cozy living room with a lovely balcony and view on the snowy forest and lake.

My daughter (in her late 20's) stayed with some friends from out of town to celebrate her birthday. The place was in a great location and very close to several local outings. The place was clean and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this place for a large group. Had everything needed to make the weekend special.

Grandson Cried When it was Time to Leave

We had three generations stay at the Capone cabin this weekend. It was our third time using this comfortable cabin, located in the midst of the Sierra Nevada's natural wonders. A beautiful lake to canoe/kayak, a charming swimming beach and park area, and quiet rural lanes to ride on bicycle. Everyone had a great time, and we were all sad to leave.

We enjoyed our stay at the Capone Getaway. This 5 bedroom/3 bathroom house plus a loft provided plenty of space for our family gathering. The kitchen is filled with everything we needed plus some. The location was perfect for us in Soda Springs. A few drawbacks were: (1) The cabin entry was very icy so we had to remove and de-ice the iced over rubber mats before our family arrived so no one would slip getting into the cabin; (2) Some of the beds were too soft and pillows should be replaced; and (3) There was a whole checklist that we had to complete before leaving, which seemed excessive. Otherwise, it was a fabulous long weekend.
