We are glad you enjoyed your stay! POOL NOW HAS A 24/7 HEATER In response to some of your comments, every single room in the house has new LED pocket lighting which was installed this past March and every room also gets plenty of sunlight throughout the day, we are not sure why you felt it was dark inside but we can assure future guests that every room in the house can be as bright or as dark as you would like it to be by turning on the ample LED lights (all on dimmers) or opening the blackout curtains and blinds. The fountain in the pool can easily be turned on with the remote control for the pool equipment that was left on the counter in the house for your use. We wish you would have contacted us for further instructions during your stay. The welcome letter provided detailed instructions on how to use the fountain and lighting in the pool. According to our pool service technician, during your stay the pool was at approximately 78 degrees (normal heated pool temperature in Arizona), so it should have been more than comfortable to swim in with the temperatures still in the 90's during the day. As for the hot water, we returned to the property after your stay to figure out what was wrong with the hot water. It appears someone in your party may have turned the hot water heat down on the tank itself as it was turned the wrong direction (maybe they were trying to turn it up but went the wrong direction). Again we are local 24/7 365 and urge guests to contact us at any hour during their stay and wish you had done so during your stay. As far as the shower door we are extremely sorry you got stuck in there, it had been working fine prior to your stay as far as we knew. It appears it just broke down as it was a few years old, we replaced the door with a brand new one immediately. We also replaced the other one at the same time so the same problem would not happen to a future guest. We always strive for 5 stars and anything less than perfection is simply not good enough as far as we are concerned. We hope you will stay at Hillside again and we will do everything in our power to ensure that stay is a 5* star stay.

This review is under consideration for removal by VRBO. Explained below. Classic case of trying to be bribed by a guest in exchange for not leaving a bad review. This guest "loved" the home so much during their stay that they extended the stay an entire 3 nights (they did this two days after check in). The front door key was taken by the previous guest by accident (back to Canada), however the back locks were changed so the guest could lock the home and come and go as they pleased. I explained this to the guest upon check in (7 pm). They were fine with this and understood the situation and said it was no big deal to leave out the back door for the duration of stay. Again everything was great and they were enjoying the stay the entire time (this was all over text message). If something were ever to be wrong we have all trades, as well as myself and my wife on call 24/7. Upon check out guest asked for compensation in exchange for not leaving a 1 star review (based no the front door key alone, even tho rest of the home was great). They wanted cash or check and to keep it outside VRBO. They tried to bribe me both over text message and email. This is the unfortunate side of vacation rentals and nothing the owner can really do to fight these kind of guests. In addition the guest already paid 50% off regular rates during this times period as I was trying to fill my last calendar gaps. Previous guests all paying 50% more all left me 5 Star reviews (including the guest directly before this guest). Thank you
