The property has three bedrooms, a ground floor double with double bed and en-suite shower room, a double and a 4' double, sleeping five guests. There is also a family bathroom with shower over bath and an open-plan living/kitchen/dining room. Outside is a patio and lawned garden with built-in bench, furniture and views of the harbour. Allocated space for one car (permit provided). Through The Porthole is a fabulous base for a Falmouth holiday.
Note: Although the ground floor bedroom is accessible for those with mobility issues, the living area and kitchen are down narrow steep stairs leading into the open plan kitchen and living area opening out into the garden balcony. Also, Falmouth is surrounded by hills and the walk from the property to the town centre is downhill.

Pendennis Castle, built by Henry VIII, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views. Across from Falmouth harbour is the picturesque town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes). For nature lovers there is the Swanpool Nature Reserve, a lagoon and site of special scientific interest teeming with a variety of wildlife.
