The house is in a fabulous position to explore this historic and scenic area with lovely walks, castles, river views, great pubs and towns. Combined that with very friendly and helpful hosts and very well equipped house we all had a great week.

Really pleased with the accommodation, plenty of space inside and out for the 9 of us.

Really pleased with the accommodation, plenty of space inside and out for the 9 of us. The house was clean and tidy. The kitchen had everything we could need and more, which was extremely helpful. The house is a short walk away from Skenfrith castle and the river for a swim, and within about a 20-25 minute drive you can get to many places/attractions. The owner was helpful when I messaged to ask a question and replied promptly. Will definitely be recommending ti family and friends.

Super house, spacious & well equipped.

We had a lovely stay, especially loving the garden room where we spent most of our time. A good sized secure, dog friendly garden. Great walks, we also did a wild swim behind the castle which was bracing but lovely. A great house for a group and the open fire was a bonus with logs £10 a box which was really handy as we didn’t have to go and source some. Nice & clean with everything we needed. No carpets downstairs so no worrying about mucky paws on carpets. We had a blast, would definitely recommend. Ps thank you for the welcome gifts

This is a beautiful old farmhouse. The exterior pictures on the listing don’t do it justice really. The bedrooms are lovely: all very large with crisp white bedding. The birdsong is like a symphony. We had a fire every night in the fireplace in the big lounge. It has 3 sofas so was really comfy and roomy. Kitchen is well equipped with a long table to eat in and then another absolutely enormous dining table in the dining room next to the kitchen. We loved the outdoor space which has a hammock chair and a 3 seater outdoor sofa and looks onto a lawn surrounded by trees. It could probably do with a couple more outdoor chairs as otherwise there is only a picnic bench which isn’t that close to the other chairs so we couldn’t all sit out together but it’s a small gripe. You can walk to Skenfrith Castle just a few minutes down the road and there is a path within the Castle grounds which leads down to a river where you can swim. Beautiful location with lots of walks, although very hilly (some hills of 45 degrees for quite a distance) so not the best for the older family members.
