I refer to this cottage as the cottage of highs and lows. Has some nice amenities but severely lacking in other areas. I understand it can be expensive to maintain a rental home and you need to pick where to spend money. But I would have rather had older appliances for the luxury of simple amenities like nightstands and updated toilet seats. These are simple inexpensive things you can upgrade regularly that help improve the overall experience. Also, if you’re reading this far into my review, know the parking is around the corner from the home - not directly out front. We had to carry our luggage quite a ways to enter the home. And the sprinkles are timed to go off on Thursday nights. That would have been helpful to know since we planned for a bonfire out last night. Beds were very comfortable but all the living room furniture has seen better days. The location was great for our family. A short walk to the beach, a community playground right around the corner and walkable to downtown Lake George. Some of these features help you look past the negative of the cabin. Next time, I’d probably spend the extra money to stay in an upgraded cabin.

It was pretty good. There were a couple of broken dishes and fixtures, which I think should have been corrected before a stay, but overall good. There were no area rugs like what was shown in the listing- that would have been nice. Maybe put down a couple of washable ones if upkeep is the concern. I would also suggest to provide wood on site for use in the fire pits. Aside from that, the location is great and the cottage is comfortable. It won’t take a lot to have it be a great stay instead of a good one.

Great Stay

The location of this cottage was perfect for our stay. Clean, quiet, convenient. One small maintenance issue that was resolved within a few hours. We will definitely return for another visit.

Location

The location of this cottage couldn’t have been better. Super short walk to Million Dollar Beach which was perfect for us since I was participating in the annual volleyball tournament. The cottage was comfortable and just big enough for our family of 5.

Lake George pt. 2

Location is excellent, close enough to main strip to walk but far enough for the peace and quiet. The house was the perfect size for a family of 4, 2 being small children. Anything we forgot we happily found there for us. Slept like a baby on the king size bed provided. If I had to say a negative thing about the area, parking is limited so plan for that. Besides that, we couldn’t be happier with the experience we had. We’re already planning on returning to the same location if anything the larger house next year. Thank you again for sharing your home with us

The best location

This was such a great stay. Perfect sized yard and house with everyone you would need. The best part is the location. You can’t find a better location. Will definitely be staying again.

Quick Lake George Trip

The cottage was clean and well maintained. It was a short walk to the beach. The walk to town was a bit longer than we thought, but manageable. We were a party of four and we fit very comfortably. We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely property in perfect location.

We had a lovely stay. Perfect location. Easy walk to beach or into the town and restaurants. A great veranda to sit out on in the evenings to watch the sunset and fireworks. Might be helpful to have a few more basics in the property such as bin bags, oil, salt and pepper, a hair dryer. Otherwise highly recommended.

Great Lake George Cottage

The cottage was exactly as described. Great location, very clean, and comfortable beds. The outside fire pit was a nice bonus! It was perfect for our quick stay at Lake George. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Great house

The house was great and close to million dollar beach and the center of town. I would suggest marking the parking spots with the cottage number, providing info on garbage collection and also timing the sprinklers so when you are packing up to leave you don't get stuck in the house. We really did enjoy our time spent at the cottage. We could even see the fireworks from the deck!

Great Location

We loved our stay here! It was so close to Million Dollar Beach and the main village is not far past it. We walked everywhere almost the entire and our two young daughters loved it. The house had everything we needed and the beds were really comfortable. Will definitely stay again next time we are in the area.

Perfect Location

I planned a bachelorette getaway with a few people and the bride. This cottage was perfect! We were able to walk by the lake to everywhere in town. The cottage was adorable! There is also a fire pit and table on the front deck for some outdoor activities. Would highly recommend this cottage!

Worth The Search

#5 Cottage is accessible by parking next to #1 Cottage and is back to back with #1. Around the corner from Beach Road. The search was worth the time it took to locate it. Each cottage had it’s private area with a fire pit and grill. Although we couldn’t really use ours because there were teams of landscapers renovating all day, every day except when it rained. The cottage was clean and neat and updated. The bed support in the master BR needs repair as former reviews mentioned, the supports slips out progressively each day until you cannot sit on the end. The location is great, walkable to everything, yet is in a quiet area.
