Overall, we are very satisfied! I would give 4.5 if I could. Some of the information upon arrival (passwords and keycodes) needs to be updated. Thankfully, our kind host gave us the information as soon as she could. The parking space (as advertised) is for compact vehicles only. Our host generously helped us find a good parking space nearby. Another quick thing to note - there were only 2 chairs and 1 bench for seating in the whole house. (which could sit 4 adults around the table). We were grateful that the house could sleep many people, but if you are planning to rest there you will need to use the bedrooms or the floor to sit down.

A Wonderful Stay in Kokubunji

The residence was in a quiet and serene neighborhood of Kokubunji, just a short 15 minute walk to urban areas full of food, activities and train stations. The private home was clean, cozy and easy to navigate for english speakers.10/ 10 would recommend anyone for staying in this home! Host was super friendly and very responsive!!! We had a wonderful stays

We had an incredible stay in Kokubunji! The neighborhood was perfect—quiet and charming yet conveniently close to all the Tokyo activities we wanted to explore. There were plenty of shops, cafes, and parks nearby, making it easy to experience both the local vibe and the Tokyo excitement. The location also provided easy access to transportation, so getting to popular areas was a breeze

The place was not as advertised, a few days before arriving, we were just notified that the third floor was not accessible, which was not clarified on the description beforehand. We would have not booked the otherwise, and it felt like there was so many restrictions when we arrived, and there was a strange unwelcoming smell when we first arrived.

For us, the location is perfect. The train station is within walking distance and it is easy to travel to Takao and Yoshikawa. There are two supermarkets are within walking distance, equal distance. Additionally, the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum Garden is nearby.Very nice place to stay and enjoy.

This is a nice, clean home. The host provided clear guidelines during check-in and supplied helpful guides for accessing important amenities and features of the property. They also included useful transportation information, which made getting around much easier. Overall, the instructions were well organized and made the stay smooth and convenient.Ok so for the location, it is about 15-20 min walk from the train station. From the house there is a 5 minute walk to the bus station next to the Family Mart that will take you to the train station. Not sure about going back to the house as we never get the chance to try as we always get home very late. You can get an Uber taxi from the train station.

Everytime I travelled from places to places, I always use cheap accommodations so I know what we travellers need in order to have a relaxing place to stay. 1.) not allowed: pets, smoking inside the house, party, loud music, invite outsider to stay-in
2.) for customers who already made commitment with us, We will send our address for visa application, we could give a copy of our airbnb permit, we could provide itineraries, give recommendations(places, foods, events etc), help solve issues regarding japanese translations etc, message me all throughout you’re stay(ex. when lost around japan etc) and we wil answer all your queries regarding your whole trip.
3) there is a bus from Kokubunji station to mukogaoka bus stop. It only takes 4mins bus ride and 3mins walk to our place.
4.) We provide, basic toiletries, bath towels, slippers, hairdryer, hair iron, washing machine etc
*for the use of washing machine please ask me first before using.
5) family mart 2-3mins walk, grocery store 5mins walk, steak house 5mins walk, drugstore 5mins walk, taxi station 5mins walk, park 5mins walk, local gym center with training equipments, pool, basketball court etc 5mins walk, kokubunji station 10-15mins walk. In kokubunji station there are: mcdonalds, starbucks, kfc, yoshinoya, tenya, izakayas, family restaurants like-dennys, saizeria, gasto etc, daiso(100yen shop), picaso(mini don quijote, grocery stores-seiyu and maruetsu, gym centers-olympic, anytimefitness,tipness etc, shopping mall-marui(oioi), celeo(uniqlo, loft, nojima and abc mart, drugstore-welcia, convinience store-7 eleven and family mart.
6.) 20mins to shinjuku station, from shinjuku station to shibuya station 5mins, 40mins to sanrio puroland, 1 transfer of train only going straight to disneyland, 15mins going to kichijoji for ghibli museum(needs reservation), 40mins straight to tokyo station(no need for train trasfer), gotemba premium outlet(bus from shinjuku)
