In the middle of the protected landscape area, surrounded by blooming meadows and cornfields, lies the listed MUSEUMSHOF PUDDEMIN, directly at the transition area between the Bodden and the countryside. On the 60,000 m² large farm area you can enjoy the pristine and untouched landscape of southern Rügen in a historic and lovingly renovated vacation building.
The renovation of the farm building, which was carried out under monument preservation and ecological aspects, was completed in 2013. From the two high-quality equipped vacation apartments you can enjoy the picturesque view of the sailing ships and boats sailing in and out of the neighbouring natural harbour.
The south of the island of Rügen is scenically particularly diverse and charming. In addition to the small water hiking rest area and natural harbor in Puddemin, the natural beaches on the Zudar peninsula, which are about 4 km away, are an insider's tip. Small secluded bays invite to sunbathing, swimming or other water activities. During long walks you can observe rare bird species, sometimes even the white-tailed eagle. In late summer and autumn, the large flocks of birds gathering for their flight to the winter quarters are impressive, as are the cranes flying to their resting places.
