Beautiful apt. In the old town

This is a beautiful apt. Gorgeous View of the cathedral. The apartments is well equipped with everything you need. It is very spacious and perfect for our family of 5. Walking distance to beach, sites and bars/restaurants. The owner provided us with several awesome recommendations for restaurants. We loved our stay. Only drawbacks is that shower in one bathroom is very small and two rooms do t have AC but all rooms have ceiling fans which were great.

Excellent apartment, great position, in the old town, 1-2 minutes walk to just about everything but still very quiet, apartment was exactly as listed. We had a slight issue with the shower hose, Alvaro came around the next day (which incidentally was Sunday) and fitted a new one, would definitely recommend

Perfect Place!

Maria & Alvaro are wonderful and accommodating hosts. The location of the flat is perfect for exploring Alicante and enjoying the beach (bring your own beach towels) Beds are comfortable and there is ample space to store clothing items if you wish. Kitchen has everything you need to prepare food as well as laundry. The air conditioning does a wonderful job cooling off the space on a hot day. The photographs on this listing do not do the flat justice. It’s a very generous space! There was construction in one of the flats in the building the entirety of our two weeks making working, sleeping in or resting somewhat challenging but one cannot fault the owners for that disturbance. Thank you Alvaro & Maria for your hospitality

Large, comfortable apartment in fantastic location

Highly recommended! The pictures accurately represent this beautiful apartment; if anything, they don't give the full impression of the size of the apartment, the basilica view from the front windows is outstanding, and the location could not be more ideal for easy walks to the beach (2 blocks away) or through the old town (outside the front door). The hosts are friendly and easy to work with; they made check-in and check-out easy and left us a nice bottle of Rioja to enjoy! Álvaro also provided us with many great restaurant suggestions, most which were only a few minutes walk from the apartment. The apartment has 3 large bedrooms (one has a built-in AC/heating unit) with comfortable beds that can accommodate 6 adults, and 2 full bathrooms, one with a full bathtub/shower and one having a small shower stall. Each bedroom also has a desk which was convenient. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything needed (glasses, plates, flatware, pans etc.) and there are cleaning products and various spices/sugar/salt etc in well-stocked cabinets so you don't have to run out and purchase all these items immediately upon arrival, which we appreciated. The dining table seats 6, and the sitting/TV room (also having a built-in AC/heating unit) has two comfortable couches and a TV that provides cable tv and Netflix. When you don't want to cook for yourself, within short walks there are many, many good restaurants, most which offer budget-friendly "menu del dia" options that provide 2 or 3 course meals for under 15 euros. While the views from the apartment are wonderful, the apartment receives little direct sunlight. This translates to little warming affect from the sun, which is likely beneficial in the summer months but leaves the apartment cooler in the winter months (we stayed in February), especially in the morning. There are space heaters provided, however, so it is possible to warm the rooms not having the built-in AC/heating units. Negatives? Not many! Keep in mind the basilica church bells (and the bells from the town hall down the street) ring every 15 minutes, though only from 9AM-10PM. And, being in the heart of the city, there is some street-noise and lighter sleepers may want to have ear-plugs available: Alicante is a clean city but the street-cleaning trucks start early, and the lively Friday and Saturday night people-traffic can be heard through the early morning.

Great location

This is a beautiful, traditional apartment in a great location - 3 minute walk to the beach and beachside cafes and 5 minutes from lots of restaurants, cafes and bars in the centre of town. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped for a comfortable stay. Communication with Alvaro was always quick and easy. I would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Alicante.
