In the centre of the picturesque village is the Meigle Sculptured Stone Museum, which houses over thirty Pictish Stones and other carvings from as far back as the eighth and tenth centuries. Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1905 to 1908, is buried in the village.
