The striking Damflask, Agden, Dale Dike, and Ladybower dams make for an interesting afternoon stroll, and the charming village of Hathersage—said to have served as the model for Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre—is also close by and has a variety of shops, pubs, and hospitable restaurants as well as an outdoor lido.
