Beautiful spot in the Bologna hillside

Great place to stay with family and friends. Plenty of room, lovely outdoor space for dinners. Hot tub To relax in. Host is very accommodating any time we needed something there was a contact near the property. We hated to leave!

What a beautiful place to stay. Literally an Italian villa in the countryside. We had 12 people stay here for 8 nights. Plenty of privacy, bedrooms, bathrooms. Would absolutely stay here again. The caretakers Gabriella and her husband were perfect hosts and very helpful! He even carried our luggage in and out for us!

Oasis above Bologna

Spent 4 days at this beautiful house up in the hills with 4 children and 6 adults. There was plenty of room for us and more! The accommodations were luxurious and clean and the host was generous with time and tips. We would definitely come back!

Family vacation

The property had a beautiful country setting. It reminded me of an old farmhouse. The outside entertainment area was great. Unfortunately we weren’t able to enjoy it due to the mosquitoes. The property owner supplied us with citronella candles but the bugs won! There isn’t any air conditioning including the bedrooms. It was quite war despite the ceiling fans and we couldn’t leave the windows open because of the bugs. It was a nice retreat after being in the busy city of Bologna.

he photos of the property were at least 7 years old, so although clean, it was more dated than we expected.The location of the care takers property was overlooking the outdoor relaxing areas, which we didn’t consequently use (plus they did not cut the grass until the day we left)We booked the whole property, but they only made 4 bedrooms available (we had invited 2 other friends along and we had toSqueeze 8 adults into 4 bedrooms (2 couples) and 4 single men.In addition to this, the caretakers tried to charge us for the extra occupancy (if we used the other bedrooms)The caretakers had guests staying who very very audible and visible (playing games in the garden - not a problem unless you are expecting privacy)The caretakers would enter our property from time to time to help themselves to ice from the ice box.Our shower dripped loudly and the bidet was blocked.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry for the misunderstanding: at the time of booking the group was for 8 people, and only upon arrival were additional guests added. We are always happy to rent the entire villa, but it is important that extra guests are declared in advance and that all documents are provided at check-in, as required by Italian law. We regret any inconvenience and have already taken care of the maintenance issues mentioned.

Beautiful home in a fantastic location just outside Bologna, with easy access to all that Emilia-Romagna has to offer. The house is beautifully appointed, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed.The caretakers were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating throughout our stay. Traveling with three generations of our family, we especially appreciated that everyone had their own private room while also enjoying the spacious indoor and outdoor gathering areas where we could comfortably spend quality time together.This home was the perfect setting for creating wonderful family memories, and we would be delighted to return someday.

I want to start by saying the property manager, Leonardo, was wonderful. The rest, not so much. I did not realize when booking this property that there was no AC in the house and the “fans” they provided were beyond insufficient. We had a 6 month old with us and the baby monitor in his room at times read 87F. You can’t sleep with the windows open because the mosquitos are next level. We had 9 people in our group, they had given us 5 towels with no extras or backup. There’s a washing machine on property but you’re not allowed to use it so we had to ask Leonardo to do our laundry and paid him for his trouble. We were told to buy our own toilet paper if we ran out, there was almost no shampoo left in the bottles provided, no sheets on my husband’s bed (just a mattress pad and blanket). The property itself is beautiful and would be manageable in the colder months I suppose. We paid for 5-6 nights (can’t remember) and left after night 2 to book a hotel in the town nearby for the remainder of our time in Bologna. It was worth the added expense to just be able to sleep and know there were enough towels for everyone to take a shower. I should have done more review reading before booking this because I now see that this was not an uncommon experience among previous guests. Hopefully this review saves someone in the future for making the same mistake we did.

Wir hatten ein super Wochenende in der Villa und Fil hat sich jederzeit um unsere Anliegen gekümmert - Vielen Dank! Die Kommunikation war im voraus nicht ganz einfach, danach bei unserem Aufenthalt aber sehr gut.

Beautiful villa with plenty of space

My extended family stayed while attending a conference. There were four full bathrooms to share among 12 of us and two additional half bathrooms inside plus a bathroom in the patio area. When every couple entered the villa I heard lots of excitement and appreciation for finding such a great place, and that only increased over the week. We had a lovely stay and would easily go back! Since we were there in the cold season we weren't able to take full advantage of the outdoor area but loved that the table inside was large enough to fit all 12 of us.

This home is amazing!

We recently stayed at Villa Monte Quercione for a family vacation. I just cant say enough good things about this home. We were a family of 8 and the bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect and comfortable. There is an abundance of outdoor space and we utilized daily as we have additional family in the area. Dinners outside were great and could accommodate 10+ people. If you love to cook, there is a professional kitchen inside as well as a fireplace / pizza oven pit in the outdoor space as well. The home is very well laid out and features a game room downstairs and a very nice sound system that allows for music inside and out. If you collect or appreciate art, then you will love this home even more! Our stay here couldn't have been better and thank the on site host for all of our questions that we had. When back in the area, we will definitely stay here again!

Amazing house!

This house is amazing and it was a great place to hang out with a family. We loved the spa and pool table, hours of entertainment! The only thing I would say is that, for the price we expected that small comforts would be provided such as shampoo and conditioner and a small welcome package with essentials.

Enchanted place for a group or family

Really great place, A little bother with some art that could offend younger children that can read, but easy to cover up (if necessary) We felt at home and the outdoor eating cooking area with a wood fired pizza over is fantastic. Discrete helpful on site manager Sirosima was more than helpful, but never intrusive.

Great location, lots of space, a couple of issues to consider...

Several things we liked about this rental home -- the location was great, just a few miles from Bologna in the hills outside the city. Just far enough away to feel that you're in the country, but with great access to Bologna and easy day trips to Modena, Parma, Ravenna, Ferrara, etc. The home also has ample size for a large group, with plenty of space, a great game room, and a nice yard. The hottub was also a nice addition. A couple of minor isssues, however. The caretaker was present (he lives on the property), but wasn't tremendously helpful. And there is another family that lives in a home that essentially fronts the same yard, and they didn't seem thrilled to have guests on the property.

Perfecto

Just enough county to escape the city and yet close to Bologna when needed. Great home base for traveling and exploring the region - Ferrara to Parma to Firenze. The kitchen and outdoor dining area are awesome. Interesting property inside and great space for everyone to spread out when needed. The views are wonderful. Make sure you have Davide come cook a meal for you at the villa - la bella vita!!! Only wish the WiFi was faster - a must have in today's world.

fantastica

Villa fantastica..Tutto perfetto come da aspettative. La casa ha tutti i comfort possibili: barbecue, vasca idromassaggio (riscaldata!!!!), cucina enorme, biliardo e biliardino. Le camere sono grandi e pulite. Ci sono talmente tanti bagni che uno lo abbiamo scoperto prima di ripartire!! Bellissima esperienza!! Flavio

Wonderful Stay

It is a spacious and well-furnished villa with tasteful decoration and great view of the hills surrounding Bologna . We enjoy spending time in the courtyard overlooking the landscape. The house owner is very helpful and friendly and has provided useful tips of the area. He has also given us excellent restaurant recommendations!
