Relaxing and peaceful

The property is stylish and modern without compromising comfort. Julia decorated it beautifully for christmas and everything was very clean. The open plan living space is perfect for spending quality time together. There was ample information on how to operate things and details on what is nearby. We had a lovely three night pre-christmas family break, which was just what we were hoping for after a difficult year.

We found that this was a modern build not a barn conversion and as such was over modernised. 1. The heating is under floor heating with digital thermostats in the sitting/kitchen, bathroom and bedroom and although an instruction book was available it is not an easy system to understand and when you make the correct selections the response from the controls is virtually nil. Not like a turn it up or down simple stat.2. Our third day we returned to find no electrical power for lights and oven and other equipment in the sitting/kitchen area. There was no info in the information pack for the accomodation as to where the the electrical breaker box might be and a search did not reveal it. Only contact for the owners were mobile numbers who were supposed to be away in Spain fortunately there was a response to a text to direct me to the location of the breaker box in an obscure cutout side bit of the built in wardrobe in the bedroom resetting the breaker that supplied half the building restored the power what caused the trip out is ??3. Day 4 we were informed that the owners had actually returned to the UK for a quick visit and somebody I saw outside was one of the owners but they did not have the courtsey to check with us if everything was ok.4. Day 4 The towel rail for the bathroom which switched on from the hallway which had worked did not come on all day but came on after we had gone out in the evening??5. Very annoying speaker info from tv every action made on control.
