Renowned for the impressive Gwrych Castle which overlooks the town, and its enormous sandy beach, the whole area offers safe bathing waters and excellent watersports facilities. There is also a coastal cycle path which runs along the Abergele seafront, and for walking enthusiasts, the Offa's Dyke pathway, the Clwydian Hill Range and beautiful Betws-y-Coed known as the "Gateway to Snowdonia" are all nearby. The beautiful castles of Rhuddlan, Bodelwyddan, Conwy and Caernarfon are not to be missed, and the delightful award-winning Victorian town of Llandudno, offering quality shops, restaurants, a fantastic dry ski slope and exciting cable car rides over the Great Orme, is within easy driving distance.
