Villa Sumac is located on a three-hectare estate with vineyards, olive trees and Sicilian sumac plants, just outside the baroque village of Sortino, in south-eastern Sicily. Originally an agricultural farmhouse, the villa has been recently restored maintaining traditional architectural details such as exposed stone walls and light stone flooring. Colourful and contemporary in style, the property includes a main villa and two outbuildings connected by gravel paths and flowerbeds. Perfectly equipped for outdoor dining and relaxation, it offers a pergola with common dining area and barbecue, while the pool and hot tub are located in an elevated position compared to the house, with views of the hills up to Etna. The villa is in a strategic position for exploring the coast, natural reserves and historic sites such as Syracuse and Noto.
THE PROPERTY HAS UNDERGONE A CHECK-UP CARRIED OUT BY ONE OF OUR TECHNICAL MANAGERS, TO GUARANTEE THE CORRESPONDENCE OF THE DESCRIPTION, THE ACCESSORIES LISTED ON THE SITE AND THEIR STATE OF OPERATION/MAINTENANCE.
Interiors:
The property consists of a main villa and two annexes, for a total internal area of about 250 square meters. MAIN VILLA â Three levels connected by an internal staircase. GROUND FLOOR â Entrance from a furnished terrace into an open space with living area, dining area and kitchen. Some steps lead to a bathroom with shower and to a double bedroom located on an upper level. LOWER FLOOR â Service bathroom and access to a small outdoor courtyard with separate laundry room. ANNEX 1 â Suite with double bed, living area and bathroom with bath and shower. ANNEX 2 â Double bedroom with bathroom with shower. Each annex has its own shaded outdoor area.
Park:
The land covers about three hectares, cultivated with vineyards, olive trees and sumac. Gravel paths lined with ornamental plants connect the various structures with the pool and outdoor dining area. A terrace outside the kitchen and living room is furnished for relaxation, while a shaded pergola in the garden houses a large dining table and barbecue. A separate courtyard near the main villa houses the laundry room. Access is via a private gravel road with automatic gate, which leads to a parking space for five cars about 70 m from the house. N.B.: Please note that photo shoots are usually carried out in spring, so the colors and blooms of the gardens, lawns and parks may be different when you enter the villa.
Pool:
The pool is located on a slightly higher level than the villa, about 20 m, and is accessed via a path with about 15 steps. Rectangular in shape, it measures 10 x 5 m with a constant depth of 1.40 m; covered in painted cement, it has an internal staircase and a chlorine purification system. A wooden solarium of about 130 square meters surrounds it and is furnished with sun loungers and umbrellas. A short staircase leads from the solarium to the round hot tub (diameter 2 m, depth 60 cm), equipped with lighting. The pool and hot tub are open from the first Saturday in April to the last Saturday in October.
