We loved it so much in 2024 that we returned with our young adult children in 2025! Above all, the setting is everything for Marble Lodge. You are accepting a more rustic property for its stunning location, offering peace and privacy. This trip we did have a few issues. We lost all water at one point, which is quite an inconvenience when you have five people. We had difficulty connecting with the right people to handle the issue (due to our international phones and lack of signal - we didn't realize there was a house phone for a while!). However, the issue was resolved relatively quickly after we spoke to someone. Later, we lost the hot water and had to call for help to fix it. The washing machine is complicated to use, at least for Americans, as it is VERY different than our system. All of these things can be overlooked in the big picture, due to the kind help we received from the team, but it did impact our plans because we had to wait to get everyone showers. The one thing I would like to see fixed is the bird nests under the eaves of the house. They were not there last August. My son counted just under 50 nests. The birds are constantly flying and diving in and out of the nests, and with lots of birds comes lots of bird "deposits." Even the front door had several wet gifts from the birds. Since it is daylight for so long, the birds are active for most of the day.
