à propos de cet hébergement
Mae Cottage, Reeth, Yorkshire Dales
Mae Cottage is a traditional stone-built semi-detached property enjoying unspoilt, open views across the stunning countryside of Arkengarthdale near Reeth, a pretty valley famed for its many scenes in James Herriot's All Creatures Great and Small and the northernmost of the Yorkshire Dales.
Beautifully restored to a high standard offering up to six guests a high level of comfort and perfect for friends and family to enjoy a getaway in this a peaceful and tranquil setting. With oak floors and beams giving a feeling of calm and relaxation, the spacious sitting room invites you to curl up around the wood burner set within an inglenook fireplace and enjoy quality time with those closest to you. From the sitting room is a spacious dining room comfortably seating six guests along with a small workstation area should you need it during your stay. Take the seven steps down into the well-equipped farmhouse style kitchen, featuring a range cooker and utility room with WC. Perfect for muddy boots or paws and drying out your walking gear!
The first and second floor offer three delightful bedrooms each with their own stunning views and sumptuous soft furnishings perfect for enjoying a Yorkshire morning cuppa in bed. Better still sink into a hot bath in the family bathroom and relax those muscles after a day spent exploring one of the many dales and villages in the surrounding area.
Outside to the rear is a private courtyard garden from which you can enjoy al fresco dining during the warmer months, or catch the last of the evening sun in the small front garden whilst watching the sheep graze in the field across the road.
