Disappointed, unsafe and a waste of money

Firstly, i had no signal or wifi in my room whatsoever, so i couldn’t make any emergency calls or message anyone if i needed to. On the booking page, it also doesn’t say that there’s only one window, and it doesn’t lead to outside, it leads to where they stored their bins, which meant the room did not smell pleasant, not to mention the walk leading into the basement where my room was. There was no key for the door, the access was simply a coded door handle, so anybody could know this code.

I would like to express my concern with this property, as a young female solo traveller, i felt truly unsafe. Firstly, i had no signal or wifi in my room whatsoever, so i couldn’t make any emergency calls or message anyone if i needed to. On the booking page, it also doesn’t say that there’s only one window, and it doesn’t lead to outside, it leads to where they stored their bins, which meant the room did not smell pleasant, not to mention the walk leading into the basement where my room was. There was no key for the door, the access was simply a coded door handle, which implies to me that anybody could know this code. I had checked in at 15:00, i then had to make a phone call to a family member, so i had to leave the hotel to do this due the having no signal, I had left my suitcase open flat and laid a towel over the top. When I returned after the phone call, my suitcase was folded up behind the door, so someone had been into the room while i wasn’t and touched my property, luckily i couldn’t see anything missing, but i feel that is beside the point. Due to the list of things building up, i did not feel safe to stay in this property. I had to book another hotel in London and cut my trip short. Booking the other hotel cost me 200 that i didn’t have, i had to rely on my savings and myfamily, which shouldn’t be the case. I am very disappointed with my booking, and would advise people to go elsewhere
