Vous pouvez pratiquement sentir le sable entre vos orteils! La beauté de l’île Palmetto Dunes se trouve juste au bout du chemin de la plage. Vous n'avez donc besoin que de quelques bascules ou de pieds nus pour vous rendre à l’océan et vous amuser au soleil. Le salon principal a un plan d'étage ouvert merveilleux avec un salon menant à la tanière, et les deux qui ouvrent sur une magnifique île bleue de la cuisine et une salle à manger spacieuse. En dehors de cet espace de vie principal attend votre piscine privée et terrasse privée, entourée de chênes verts et de palmiers. Il ya beaucoup de place pour s’asseoir dans ce patio idéal pour les grillades et les réceptions.

Not returning to the USA

Property was excellent but unfortunately we will not be returning to the USA as the political situation and disrespect to Canadians has forced us to plan other opportunities in travel.

Great house

We love this house! This is the second time that our two families have rented this property. It has plenty of space and is close to the beach. It is also walking distance to restaurants and the general store. Our kids favorite part is the pool and the pool basketball hoop.

HHI Adventure

The location was very convenient for going to beach and activities outside of the plantation. Overall, the experience was excellent.I have some recommendations for improvement:1. Pool should be heated2. Need to provide beach chairs3. Refrigerator right door does not open completely4. Refrigerator does not provide ice or water5. Bikes are in very bad condition, one is not ridable

Great house and location

Overall our two families had a great stay at 44 Mooring Bouy. The space itself worked well with the 5 bedrooms and 4 baths. Upstairs was great for the kids and the parents and a few other kids were able to stay downstairs. When we arrived at the house there was a STRONG mildew/mold smell in the house. We immediately called the management company and their after hours service connected us with the on call manager (it was a Sunday so the office was closed). He said that someone would be out the next day to take a look and bring an air purifier and change the air filter on the furnace (which I was never able to find). Our friends arrived later Sunday evening and they noted the smell as well. No one from the management company called on Monday and we just got used to the smell and enjoying our vacation. Tuesday night another of our kids arrived and immediately noted the smell of the house. On Wednesday I called the management company again. They said the person responsible for our house would call me back and would bring by an air purifier and air filter. I never received a call and when we got home that afternoon an air purifier was sitting inside the front door unplugged. That was the extent of their response. Ultimately we really enjoyed the house, the location was great: close to the beach and to the tennis and pickle ball center. It fit our families well. I just wish the property management company had been more responsive and would have done what they said they would.

Wonderful family vacation

We were 7 adults and 1 10yo. The house is beautiful and in a fabulous location. Super easy beach access. The four stars on cleanliness was only bc the patio area had uninviting chair cushions ( not what is shown in photos) that were constantly damp so we couldn’t sit on them. Otherwise the house was sparkling. We loved the beach gear and adventure tickets we got through the management company.

Nice family getaway

We had a good experience with this home and the property management company. Everything was as described, check in and check out process was a breeze and best of all the location was fantastic. Short walk to the beach and also a quick drive to many shops and restaurants. Overall very pleased with our stay.

Great Family Vacation

We certainly enjoyed the house at 44 Mooring Bouy. Great location, close to restaurants and the beach. The bedroom set up fit our family perfectly. The kids really enjoyed the pool.

Beautiful home close to beach

The home has been recently renovated and it is really nice. The house makes good use of its square footage because the home has several rooms with lots of beds that would easily allow for 12-14 residents. The kitchen has everything you can image for cooking or barbecuing on the grill, which is adjacent to the pool. This is a really nice home within a 3 minute walk to the beach in the beautiful Palmetto Dunes area. My family and I highly recommend and would consider staying at again upon our return to the island.

Family vacation

Gorgeous home, lots of space for everyone. Everything was in excellent condition. Super clean. Only issue we had was nats outback after 5pm but thats nature. Lots of deer moving through property in the mornings. Great, unexpected surprise! 3min walk to beach was nicely maintained.

Mixed Feelings

We have been coming to HHI for 20 years with our kids. This year we brought along with us our kids spouses and our first granddaughter. We love this island. This is the first time we have stayed in a VRBO home in Palmetto Dunes. The location was perfect. The home was a little disappointing. The online photos made it look as much better than it really was inside. Little musty smelling and the bathrooms are old and worn out. The kitchen is poorly stocked with things that barely work. The pool is VERY shaded and cold. It stayed full of trash and debris. The walk to the beach is easy which was a winner for us. We needed a pet friendly place so this was a winner for that reason too. Having 4 bikes included was a plus as well. We will be back to HHI but not this rental.

We appreciate your feedback. Since your stay, the owners have completely renovated the first floor with new flooring, new bathrooms, new kitchen counter and backsplash, etc. and added a separate HVAC system for the upstairs rooms. Our properties should be well stocked and we are always available to drop off items during your stay if you call us and let us know what you need. Unfortunately, there are trees around the pool and depending on the wind, they do get into the pool. We do provide a pool skimmer for your use during your stay to help with that. We hope you will take a look at the updates at this home and consider giving us another try.

Great house but no information/awful parking pass situation

We had a wedding party staying at this house, reserved for 15 people. We were only given TWO parking passes with our reservation, despite the fact that reservation included the whole party. We were not told that we'd need to purchase additional parking passes at $25 a piece, and specific types of passes for the makeup artist and photographer who came to the house for a few hours. We ended up spending almost an additional $200 on passes, and interrogated by the Lt. of security, which seems insane considering we told the property owners how many people would be at this home for a wedding weekend. It made for a legitimate nightmare on the wedding day. Someone also came to clean the pool on Saturday at noon, which seems like an awful time to do something like that during someone's reservation. Wanted to enjoy this place but the pass situation at Palmetto made the whole experience sour. Will not stay in a gated community on Hilton Head ever again.

Great spot

Great spot for families with children. The walk to the beach was fun and short, and the pool was great for evening fun. Also nice they each room except for the bunk bed room had their own bathroom!!

Ok but not perfect

Location was very nice, a short walk to beach. Downstair’s rooms in house were on the small side. Great bunk room for kids. Upstairs was hot though. HVAC dampener needs attention. King mattress was worn out-felt like I was sleeping in a trough-typical for early version temperpedic mattresses. Kitchen was small and difficult for more than one person to work in there. Knives were dull. Driveway could only accommodate two cars comfortably, three will work if you are careful. The backyard was nice and shady and private. The downside was the tree debris that fell including nut shells that were very sharp on bare feet. The pool was nice but got covered in debris. I elected to clean in the morning and afternoon, took about 30 min each cleaning. The debris ended up trashing all of the outdoor table and furniture so sitting and using was tough. The cushions were pretty old looking and not inviting. The construction noise of a neighbor having a roof installed took away from the ambiance. The family room sitting area was not as big and was broken into two areas. It didn’t work well for our family. The coffee tables were not infant friendly as they had sharp edges or hard corners. Amenities were nice including a big cooler and bikes. The above is not meant to be a bad review, they are just a few nitpicks. Overall, everyone had a good time which is what counts.

Well managed pet friendly home

The property management was excellent. Check in/out was seamless and entirely online. All of the information that we needed was readily and handily available. We found an issue on arrival and the company immediately resolved, taking into consideration our schedule. The house itself is fine and spacious but I wouldn’t try to fit to capacity. We only had five max and it was fine. Kitchen well equipped. Beds not super comfortable but ok. Upstairs stays noticeably warmer but we all fit downstairs. Pool is really nice feature and we stayed out there often. You can hear everybody in neighboring houses which detracted from the experience. Very short walk to beach which made it easy to go back and forth multiple times a day. We rented chairs from shore-beach rather than hauling our own. All in all, a comfortable pet-friendly home close to a great stretch of beach with a great management team.

Beautiful property and pool deck

Easy walk to the beach, wonderful secluded property. We saw deer and other wildlife daily walking though the backyard. The bikes were great for our tween/teen kids and extremely easy to unlock and use.

Clean property, nice, and very convenient
