Experience a charming traditional ensuite shepherd's hut with private facilities and breathtaking countryside views, nestled within the historic Durrington Walls Stone Circle.

Nestled in the beautiful Amesbury Downs, this traditional wooden glamping pod offers a charming and comfortable place to stay. With a cosy double bed, heating, electricity, and WiFi, it’s the perfect mix of outdoor adventure and modern convenience. A toilet and shower block is just a few steps away, and even well-behaved dogs are welcome, making it an ideal getaway for pet lovers.

One of the biggest highlights of this stay is its incredible location. Just a short drive away, you’ll find the world-famous Stonehenge, an ancient wonder that has fascinated visitors for thousands of years. A trip here offers the chance to stand in the presence of history, walk in the footsteps of our ancestors, and uncover the mysteries of this legendary stone circle.

Beyond Stonehenge, there’s plenty more to discover. Nearby Salisbury Cathedral is a masterpiece of medieval architecture, home to one of the original copies of the Magna Carta. For those interested in ancient history, the lesser-known Woodhenge – a Neolithic monument with a fascinating past – is also close by.

After a day of exploring, the glamping pod provides a peaceful place to unwind. Breathe in the fresh country air, take in the stunning views over the rolling downs, and enjoy an evening under the stars.

Although out of season and work being done on the site , the owners were welcoming and attentive to any queries , the accommodation was well looked after and the amenities were lovely , we will definitely return this year either in or out of season as location is great for a busy break or a peaceful one thank you

Gorgeous one night stay so close to Stonehenge.

Very easy to access, instructions were clear and the information provided through whatsapp was very helpful. The hut was so sweet, the paintings on the ceiling were incredible and the bed was so comfortable.

Lovely, relaxing couple of days 😌

This was our fourth visit and as always we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Comfortable and cosy clean hut with tea making facilities and a hot shower. Perfectly situated for exploring the surrounding area. The owners Ana and Dan greeted us warmly and made us feel very welcome. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful and brilliant!

The shepherds hut was simple, sweet and everything that we wanted. It was private and incredibly romantic. Super cosy and warm with the heaters when it was freezing and stormy outside.

Super happy - Will be returning!

This place is perfect. Gorgeous views, the hut we stayed in was a great size and spacious, warm with heating on, even had a TV and shower! The place is about 7 min drive from Stonehenge. 10min walk to Woodhenge - opposite local pub. Perfect! Loved it.

The view from the Shepherd's Hut was great but it took a little while to block out the road noise

The directions were clear and the check-in was easy. The layout of the site favoured the Shepherds Huts, which we appreciated.The bed linen and towel were excellent quality and the bed warm & comfortable. However, two of the windows had broken catches so it was impossible to secure them. A towel had been left by a previous guest in the bathroom and the rubbish bin under the sink in the kitchen had not been emptied indicating lack of attention while preparing the hut for the next guests.

Delightful Experience

We stayed in the Shepherds Hut no 4 and it was a delightful experience. Snug and cosy and warm. Shower was hot and a proper toilet! Fluffy, white towels. TV and tea making facilities. We stayed with our two spaniels and did the walk around Stonehenge and a 30k route on All Trails. The Dog and Gun Inn nearby is excellent for food. Stonehenge Inn ok for drinks. The Rose and Crown was good food and good for drinks. Highly recommended. Could do with a dishcloth and tea towel to be included.

We have ample parking and seconds away from The Stonehenge Inn public house and restaurant. Our grounds are set by an area of outstanding beauty yet with views across Amesbury. Our land contains part of Durrington Walls and is of great interest to historians and archaeologist
