A trip to Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest (8 miles) boasts stunning trails through one of the UK’s most impressive tree collections. After a day of exploring, you’ll find plenty of cosy pubs and great dining spots nearby, or choose to walk around the owner’s vineyard nearby.

Kick-off muddy boots and hang up coats in the welcoming entrance hallway before heading through to the first of two impressive living spaces. With lofty vaulted ceilings, plush sofas, and a Smart TV, this open-plan lounge is made for relaxing, while a handy desk area means you can squeeze in some work (if you really must). The sleek, fully equipped kitchen comes with a central island and bar stools for casual breakfasts, alongside a dining table that comfortably seats eight for family feasts and celebratory meals. Tucked next to the kitchen, a useful utility space with a washer and dryer helps keep holiday gear fresh. Just off the lounge, you’ll also find a convenient cloakroom. On the ground floor, there’s a luxurious king-size bedroom with its own en-suite shower room. A connecting door leads to the second side of the barn, offering even more space for your group to spread out. Here, you’ll find another fully equipped kitchen, a cosy lounge, a super king-size bedroom, and a stylish shower room – ideal for extra privacy or multi-generational stays. Head back through the connecting door and up the stairs to discover two bedrooms, each with its own en-suite. The Family bedroom boasts a bath and shower, and the super king, a sleek shower room.


Outside, patios to the rear and side of the barn provide fantastic spaces to soak up the countryside air. Dine alfresco at the outdoor seating area, fire up the BBQ for a laid-back feast, or sink into the bubbling hot tub for the ultimate evening treat.
