Goldfinch consists of a restored gypsy wagon with a raised double bed and wood-burning stove, plus a children’s den beneath (please bring your own sleeping bags / blankets for the den). Facilities include a separate shower cubicle with mains water, a compost toilet, and a covered outdoor kitchen with gas hob, grill, evaporator fridge, and dining table. A conventional fridge is available for guest use, along with an extension lead, situated in the garage/shed adjacent to the main house for your convenience. Outside, there is a fire pit with grill and off-road parking for one car. Fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included for the main bed. Pets welcome, but sorry, no smoking. You'll find a shop in 4 miles and a pub in 1.7 miles. Goldfinch is a unique woodland retreat near Holsworthy.

Note: Pets are not allowed on the beds or soft furnishings. Note: Starter pack of logs provided. Note: The compost loo is about a minute walk and down steps of varied height. Note: Goldfinch is set within a secluded, nature-managed site where grass and wildflowers are allowed to thrive,While paths and the area immediately around the caravan are kept clear, this remains a wild space -The caravan is positioned on decking, which may be slippery when wet, and access is via steps. Guests should also be comfortable climbing in and out of the double bed. Lighting across the site is solar and deliberately minimal to preserve the exceptionally dark skies, which can make moving around at night more challenging. Portable lighting is provided, and guests are advised to bring a torch or head torch.

The RHS Garden at Rosemoor, the Dartington Glass Factory, and the rugged tors and open spaces of Dartmoor also make superb days out and can all be reached in under 40 minutes.
