Tide Watch est un charmant cottage de 2 chambres à coucher et 1 salle de bain situé sur la magnifique baie de Basin Cove. Profitez du pont au bord de l’eau avec une table et des chaises de jardin. Lorsque vous entrez dans la grande salle familiale dotée de nombreux jeux de société, vous trouverez une chambre sur votre droite avec un lit simple et des lits superposés. Au fur et à mesure de votre progression, vous entrerez dans la cuisine de style galère, avec beaucoup d’espace pour cuisiner votre festin de homard. Une salle à manger et un salon ouverts avec des murs de fenêtres et des glissières permettent à l’extérieur de profiter de superbes vues sur l’eau. Une salle de bain complète et une chambre avec un lit queen sont juste autour du coin. 



Bien que cette propriété soit en marée, profitez-en pour pouvoir nager ou apporter votre propre kayak pour vous lancer directement à partir de la propriété à marée haute. Un court trajet en voiture vous mènera au Dolphin Marina and Restaurant. Laissez-vous tenter par leur fameuse soupe de haddock avant de faire un tour à Eagle Island pour la journée. Erica's Seafood est également sur la route, le meilleur fondre de crabe jamais! Le sentier de randonnée Curtis Cove situé à quelques pas du chalet. Stovers Beach est à environ 5 minutes en voiture, idéal pour la descente à la plage, le kayak et la natation. Il y a même une lagune à marée haute idéale pour les petits enfants.

We were at Tidewatch cottage for a long weekend from Quebec. Everything was exactly as described. Very clean and the ajustable bed mattress in the Master bedroom was a nice surprise! Thanks

Although the house itself was quite nice, the water access wasn't represented clearly/accurately in the listing - it's a bit misleading. The twin bed mattresses are not comfortable for an adult; like laying on a rock with springs poking out of it. I'd recommend the owner at least get mattress toppers for them, if not different mattresses. I've rented various places in Harpswell over the years and this first one that hasn't fully aligned with my expectations based on the listing.

Very quiet and peaceful by the Cove. Was nice to see the tide come in and out. Lots of local information available. The cottage was nice and clean and easy to find.

Lovely property

We really enjoyed our stay, it is a cute little cottage style house, on the water. The location was perfect because it was centralized around our family and the places we like to eat. Will definitely rent this place again! 🙂

This place is super cute. The water does smell a bit like the ocean but they do provide separate drinking water and the tide does go in and out - the title of the property is fitting. Overall this was a cute place to stay with a lovely view - be careful backing out of the driveway though, people zoom down that road.

Had difficulty with the front door locking.Was not happy that all the windows were unlocked.Small parking space should be noted on website.Found black mold on the shower curtain - purchased cleaner and took care of ourselves.

Great location, close to trails, tourist sites, restaurants, even local farms selling eggs, meat, vegetables. The shower is on the small size and will be uncomfortable for anyone who is on the larger size. Don't expect AC or a dishwasher. But otherwise the cottage is comfortable, with opportunities for star gazing by its fire pit.

No water

Main problem was running out of water. Not until we arrived were we warned about low water in the well, so one shower per day for one of us. when the water did work it smelled like a swamp. Also, don't be fooled by the pictures of the inlet. Only at high tide are you not looking out at 300 yards of mud. Those stairs that imply that they lead to the beach actually lead to a jungle of eelgrass and junk. We have been renting on this site for over 20 years and this is the first time that we left two nights early in order to return to civilization.

We loved the amazing view of rising and falling tide. We stayed at the property for 5 nights. We were able to sit on the deck and enjoy the tranquil breeze for most of the time. The location of the property is ideal. It provides easy access to hiking trails, kayaking, restaurants, etc. The only challenge we encountered was the last night when the temperature spiked to 90 degrees while the home was not equipped with Air Conditioning.

Spent 5 nights here while my house down the coast was being renovated. I have stayed at many rentals and this was undoubtedly the best. The galley kitchen is a bit tight but there is everything one could want or need. The bedrooms are neat, clean and comfortable. There is a family room as well as a large living room overlooking the Basin. We were especially fortunate that the tides were in our favor and we got plenty of time to enjoy the view. Shower is small but we had enough water at good pressure for daily showers.The house is equipped with a water cooler if well water isn't something you're used to. Don't expect treated public water in Harpswell or many other locations in Maine. Driveway accommodates 2 cars but is not overly wide and the proximity to the street demands caution when backing out. All in all Tidewatch is a comfortable, pleasant retreat with all the amenities one might need. I would recommend it to anyone!

Nicely appointed house.

House had everything you would need. Lots of living space. Bed was the best "rental" I've ever been in. So comfortable! Only downside would be the tight parking and the tight shower (but the hot water and water pressure was awesome!)

Quiet getaway

This was the perfect spot for a quiet getaway for our little family of four. We've loved coming back to this area the past couple years, and this house had everything we needed and more! The house was comfortable, with plenty of living/eating/sleeping space for everyone, and conveniently close to a couple restaurants, ice cream, and all the lovely little scenic spots Harpswell has to offer. Being right on the water made for a very relaxing stay (even with two small children)! Will definitely plan to stay here again!

Harpswell Trip Review

The accommodations were very good. Beds comfortable and plenty of towels. Shower on the small size but manageable. Had an issue with the TV that the office resolved. Relayed to the office that the house was dusty and they would address. Communication with the office was fine if within operating hours. Overall nice place to stay and would consider staying again. thanks

Great place

We had a great stay. The property appears small from the outside but has plenty of space, and would’ve accommodated more than our family of three. We fell in love w the area, there is so much to do, we went on a different hike each day, tried different beaches and although it’s a touristy area it doesn’t feel congested like other parts of Maine can. The location of the house was great for exploring the area and has beautiful views.

A few things not clean

Not happy with the cleanliness of the kitchen utensils and appliances we had to clean most everything before we could use it coffee pot not washed it several times patio absolutely a disaster tarp laying on the floor Pineneedles so thick you couldn’t walk on the deck same with front steps very poor first impression inside of home nicely done . Only one bag for laundry not to as book indicated.Too much old leftovers in the refrigerator I did not come on vacation to clean up behind someone else

Hello- I apologize you found the cottage not to be cleaned up to the standards we would all expect. We would have happily sent someone over to remedy the situation. Please let me know what else you found as an issue besides the coffee pot so that I can speak with the cleaner. As for the fridge, was it condiments or something else? We do leave condiments in there as owners buy them at the start of the season for tenants. Again, any feedback would be helpful so we can speak with the cleaner. Also, I apologize about the pine needles. During this time we like to get the house ready a few days before and leave it sitting for your safety. The house was not visited during those days and there was a large wind and rain storm as your arrival came. Very common here in the fall and difficult to revisit each time it is windy.

Anniversary trip to Maine

We had a great time. It was quiet and clean and peaceful. We were blessed with fantastic weather. Our only negative was the unpleasant odor from the water, so we used bottled water for drinking and making coffee.
