Excellent condo

The condo is beautifully located, overlooking the pool and sea. It has everything you need, and more, with thoughtful touches and supplies. The hosts were wonderful, extremely responsive and communicative throughout our stay. We would stay again, in a heartbeat. Thank you!

Would rent again

This condo was everything we needed and more. The location was ideal, out of the busy action but close to everything Kona has to offer. Condo was very clean and comfortable. Was perfect location and right by the pool for our kids and a great ocean view. Kitchen was well stocked.

Golf paradise

High end, very comfortable condo. Everything was very nice, comfortable, and clean! Beautiful views every day, especially sunset!!! Golf course right next door. Definitely will recommend, and will go back!

Lovely and comfortable

Lovely condo with everything we needed. Kitchen stocked with everything we might need as staples. Location perfect for water and whale viewing and also shopping and wandering! Owner fantastic and responsive. We loved our stay and wish it had been longer.

Beautiful condo, excellent location!

I could not have been more impressed with Lonna and Mike's condo! Larger than any other condo I have stayed in and beautifully decorated. Anything we could have needed in the bathroom and kitchen was supplied, and then some. Spent every meal out on the lanai with the beautiful ocean view. Conveniently located to everything we wanted to do. I would definitely stay here again!

Aloha Love

This was our third trip to the condo and as usual it was perfect. The home always has exactly what you need and want to stay in and enjoy that view. The distance to the pool and ocean is unbelievable. If you are looking to relax this is the place for you. If you want to participate in some pickle ball or other activities also the place for you. We will be back.

Our stay here has been top notch on all accounts. The pictures and descriptions noted regarding the condo were indeed accurate and the Lanai views were exceptional. The condo itself was exceptionally clean, and beautifully updated from head to toe with comfortable furniture, beds, linens and well working appliances. The kitchen was more than fully stocked and the grounds around were well tended with security. We hope to make a return visit.

Beauty on the beach

This condo was so nice and well appointed. The cupboards are stocked with spices and baking basics as well as plenty of foil, food wrap and bags to make lunch for the beach. The beds are comfy and the unit is easily cooled off with central and in room AC. The lanai looks right out at the ocean pool and the beautiful crashing waves on the lava rock just on the other side of the pool. Sunsets are amazing! Highly recommend!

Perfect in every way!

This beautiful, well-kept condo had everything our family needed for a perfect vacation and much more that we didn’t even know we wanted! From a personal welcome note, to the stocked kitchen (spices, cooking oils and every kitchen appliance) to the great AC systems and most comfortable beds.. we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! We loved watching gorgeous sunsets from the lanai and relaxing by the pool in the late afternoons. The kids were so happy to have boogie boards to use on our beach outings. Everything about this condo and the whole complex was exceptional.. we’d definitely stay here again on our next BI visit!

Perfection

Beautifully appointed condo with lanai facing the ocean and Oceanside pool. All amenities in the home are first rate. Kitchen has everything you would ever need. Location is super as there Is a plaza up the hill road with grocery, restaurants etc. Condo and condo complex is super clean and very quiet. You are NOT near road traffic, loud beach noise, or bar noise at this condo! This condo is heavenly!

Perfect Place to Stay on the Big Island

We have been to the Big Island quite a few times and this was one of our favorite places we have stayed. You can open the front porch doors each morning and hear the mighty pacific waves crashing onto the lava shores and each evening you can watch the sun sink into the ocean as God paints the sky with beauty. The condo is so wonderfully stocked with everything you could need for a great vacation. The beds are cozy, the home is spotless, the A/C is wonderful and the cabinets are full of all the cooking supplies you could need. The complex around the condo is wonderful, 3 amazing pool and hot tubs, tennis courts very close and the neighborhood and community is very quiet and respectful. I have stayed at many homes around the world and this one was one of the best. Every detail was thought through and we would definitely stay here again!

Turned 50 in Hawaii

We celebrated my 50th birthday on the big island along with some family that lives on the island. This was a great location to go shopping, dining , and sightseeing. The condo is amazing, very well maintained, and the kitchen is stocked with everything. The view of the ocean from the lanai is gorgeous, my family and I ate breakfast every morning at the table on the lanai which is a wonderful size. The condo is decorated with a serene Hawaiian theme, we would stay here again without a doubt. Bathrooms/showers were more than ample size, linens were great. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen supplies were wonderful. Pool and beach accessories supplied were ample. Communication with owner and property manager was easy. If we could give 10 stars we would give 11! This property will not disappoint.

If I could give 10 stars, I would!

We just returned from a family trip to the Big Island where I celebrated my 40th birthday. I can't say enough about this condo! I appreciated being in constant communication with Lonna from the time we booked through our stay. The pictures don't do this condo any justice! The location is perfect. I appreciate that the complex is in a gated community. With access to multiple pools and tennis/pickleball courts. I was lucky to be able to enjoy perfect sunset views while sitting on the lanai most evenings. I also really appreciate all of the attention to detail that was put in to the condo. There are multiple notes and instructions throughout. We never had a question about how to use the TV, fans, etc. I highly suggest you visit the condo and take an inventory of items already supplied before you head to the store. The condo comes equipped with many of the things you would need to make your stay comfortable (spices, kitchen items, laundry detergent, etc.). We also had access to a small cooler, cooler bag and everything you would need for a day at the beach (beach towels, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards). We even tried pickle ball for the first time since we had access to all the equipment! This condo was the perfect home away from home. I hope I'm lucky enough to be able to stay there again some day.

Fantastic condo by the water!

This condo is fantastic and the owner is an absolute doll. When we arrived, we had kona coffee and chocolates waiting with a welcome note. So kind! We arrived late (after 9pm) that first night though and even though I prepared in advance w/ the owner and it was not her fault, the property's gate was closed (always is), and they didn't have our names down to get in after hours. The gate attendant was there and nice enough to help us get access in. There were other nights where no one was at the gate so I think we lucked out having someone there at night. If you're planning late arrival, it's something to note. The condo was immaculate. Furnished so well, decorated beautifully and FULLY stocked with everything you need during your stay, even a boogie board and beach chairs. Thoughtful! Also a GREAT mattress/bed and a large master shower. Truly roomy space. The view was better than I expected and the location is right by a bbq and pool area, as well as a tennis court. Just an incredible place to stay. Wonderful neighbors for the most part. One parked in our spot our last night and was rude about it and we had to ask them to move. My ONLY real complaint and one that cannot be helped by the owner, so I feel bad mentioning it (I would want to know if I were to rent this place)-- is that the ceiling seemed thin so every night and/or early morning we were woken up by the person upstairs walking around. It sounded like loud and consistent stomping. I wondered what they were doing walking so much. One morning after a bad night's sleep this person woke us all at 5 am also, it was awful. So if you're sensitive to noise, I would rethink this place but if you're from the city- you may not notice and this is the perfect spot for you! Wonderful in every way that could be controlled and we appreciate the aloha! Mahalo!

A Perfect Hawaiian Escape! We'll Be Back!

From the moment we arrived, this condo exceeded every expectation. The space is beautifully updated, spotlessly clean, and clearly well maintained. Our favorite morning coffee spot quickly became the lanai, where we spent every morning and most evenings watching the most breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. The owners were responsive, helpful, and thorough in answering all of our questions both before our trip and during our stay. It made for a very stress-free vacation. Thank you Lonna! We've stayed at Kanaloa at Kona before and keep coming back for good reason. The location is ideal. It’s tucked away from the hustle of the more touristy areas, yet just minutes from grocery stores and great restaurants. The complex itself is outstanding, with newly added pickleball courts, beautifully maintained pools, and relaxing hot tubs. The oceanfront pool is an absolute gem. After a full day of exploring the island, there's nothing quite like unwinding by the pool while the waves crash against the rocks and you feel the ocean spray. It's the kind of moment that makes you never want to leave. If you're looking for the perfect home base on the Big Island, look no further. We can't wait to return!

Paradise

Everything was perfect during our stay at Kanaloa at Kona. The condo is well maintained and had everything we needed. Great location with beautiful view. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Would recommend this condo to anyone visiting the big island and would stay here again ourselves if we make it back.

Fabulous condo

We can’t praise this condo enough! The location is fantastic, both in terms of where it is on the island and within the resort, just a few steps from the shore and ocean pool. It is the best equipped condo I have ever stayed in, with literally everything you might need. The owner was really helpful with lists of recommended activities and in regular contact to make sure everything was ok. An amazing home from home for our vacation

AMAZING!

This was an incredible get away! I had to be on the island for work and took my husband and son with me! We had an incredible time! I cannot say enough positive things about the owners. They were so kind, easy to communicate with and go above and beyond for their guests! I stay at several VRBOS and this by far was one of my favorites! I highly recommend this place!

Best condo at Kanoloa

We recently enjoyed a week long stay at condo 2602. It was my parents (in their 70's) and my husband and me (in our 40's). We have visited Hawaii many times and in fact have stayed at condos in the Kanoloa complex before. We were all in agreement this is the best condo in the complex! The pictures on the listing are very accurate. Highlights: -view-you can see the ocean view from the kitchen, living room and lanai. We enjoyed the sunset every night! -there are three pools in the complex and the closest one is the water front pool. This is less than 30 steps from the lanai. -This was the only condo we could find with stairs from the lanai. This made it easy to get to the pool and nearby BBQ. -well stocked kitchen-both equipment and staples like flour, sugar, tea, olive oil, vinegar and spices. -closet with ice chest, games and books. -parking lot storage area has snorkel gear, funnoodles, boogie boards. -walk in closets in each bedroom. -good sized bathrooms. -welcome gift from owners (coffee, chocolates and water). -great communication from the owner. -walking distance to Outrigger Hotel (also location of the Ho'Oulu Community Farmers Market on Wednesday from 9am-2pm). -the grounds and facilities at the Kanoloa are very well kept. The only con: -the bedroom with the twin beds is a bit small. Also, would have loved if it had a queen size bed instead. There are a number of Kanoloa condos listed on VRBO but you are not going to find one with a better location and view than this one.

A Little Slice of Heaven

My family and I stayed at Lonna & Mike’s condo for a week and it was honestly the best rental we’ve ever stayed at. They run a very smooth operation and pay close attention to even the littlest details. The condo was immaculate, as the pictures show, and the views were spectacular! I loved waking up early, watching the sunrise, and drinking my coffee on the lanai. Great location as well- short drive to the heart of Kona. Would recommend this condo to anyone looking to stay on the Big Island- we hope to stay again in the future! Also, Lonna is amazing at communication and making sure everything is in order for your upcoming stay. I should probably also add that the kitchen was so well stocked- honestly any spice you could want is available for use, in addition to plenty of olive oil and other cooking essentials. Definitely 5 stars!

Perfect for our family of 4

We just got back from our Hawaiian trip and our stay at Kanaloa at Kona #2602. The unit itself was amazing with all the comforts of home and even more. It appears the owners take great care in making certain that their guests are truly welcomed. From the well stocked kitchen to the plush bathroom towels, we were not disappointed. There was even a cookbook in the kitchen for those who chose to try new recipes. The owners also kept a closet full of games and books as well as a shed full of beach toys for guests who ventured out to nearby beaches. We were also able to watch the sunsets right from the lanai and they were breathe taking. A word of caution should you choose to stay - do not go grocery shopping until to visit the condo as the owners really stock their kitchen well with lots of spices, oils, vinegars, etc. There is a grocery store that is a few minutes away (by car) should you need anything. The condo was right next to the ocean pool and bbq and the steps from the lanai made it easy to go to the pool (I noticed that not many condos in this resort had steps from the lanai and this was great, especially when returning from the pool for lunch). If you are looking for a perfect place to stay, then this would be the place. 5 stars is underrating this condo. If I could give it a higher rating, I would definitely do so. Thank you Lonna
