Artistic gardener's house at Kollerup Estate

Near Hadsten in East Jutland lies the beautiful Kollerup Estate in the middle of the scenic Lilleådal valley, where the landscape was shaped by the last ice age. Here in the gardener's cottage - used by gardeners for hundreds of years - you can surround yourself with delicious quality and find peace in the idyllic nature that is always available right outside the door.



The decor is tasteful, with many wonderful finds and antiques spiced up with high-quality modern amenities. The attention to detail is second to none. For example, the bedding, duvets and pillows are organic and certified by the Danish Animal Protection Society. As the house was once an artist's studio, the north-facing skylights fill the living room with light. The estate also works with a local wine expert, so there will always be an exciting selection of organic wines you can buy for dinner, after which you can fall asleep with a view of the starry sky from the first floor bedroom.



The main house and gardener's cottage are surrounded by the moat on three sides, with a stunning, English-inspired park of 20,000 square meters within the ramparts. From the gardener's cottage there is free access to the park and the surrounding nature. Enjoy the morning sun and the view of the moat and forest from the terrace, or catch sea trout in some of Denmark's best fishing waters in Lilleåen with a guest fishing license. From Hadsten, it's not far to city life and the many cultural offerings in Aarhus, while Kollerup Møllekro at the end of the private road serves delicious food in idyllic surroundings.
