The Old School House is in a beautiful rural location convenient to explore the Carmarthenshire countryside and its beaches. The new Twyi Valley Path boasts miles of cycle and runner heaven with the National Botanical Garden of Wales only a mile away.
We provide a luxury venue ideal for family holidays/gatherings, catching up with friend, and corporate retreats for businesses.

We don’t accept “stag” or “hen” do’s but welcome trained dogs.

We have ample secure parking, large Hot Tub, and EV charger.

We welcome crate-trained dogs. One medium or two small well-behave dogs. Dogs must be-crated overnight. Crate available on request.

The Space

This beautifully renovated luxury conversion of a 200-year-old stone barn seamlessly blends classic charm with modern amenities, featuring exposed stonework and beams.

The open-plan kitchen, complete with a large island, serves as an ideal entertaining space, featuring a dining area, with bifold doors opening onto a patio and leading to your private hot tub retreat. The kitchen has received plaudits from private chef and is comprehensively equipped with two ovens, combination microwave, a warming oven, a wine chiller, and a full size fridge and separate full size freezer, plus a dishwasher and Quooker tap for instant boiling water. The large oak table with comfortable seating for all is the perfect place to sit and enjoy time with the family over a lovely meal, or playing the board games available.

If you fancy relaxing with a good book, snuggle up in the oversize armchair overlooking the patio and hot tub, or make holiday memories with photo opportunities with the cap and gown prop. The Old School House is a trulyvery special place.

The open plan layout is enhanced with a 360 degree log burner ideal for those winter evenings.

With both comfort and eco credentials in mind, The Old School House has underfloor heatingupstairs and downstairs. Movie night - that’s easy! Just grab the popcorn and sink into the plush sofa in the cinema lounge to watch your favourite movie on the fabulous 83 inch Smart TV with surround sound system.

The ground floor also hosts a downstairs WC, a study space to enable remote working, and a super king bedroom, with a modern wet room, designed for enhanced accessibility, making it ideal for the family’s older members.

The upper floor has three additional bedrooms; two kings with beautiful ensuite shower rooms and one twin. There is also a beautifully designed bathroom including a freestanding bath for added luxury.

Outside, the property boasts a charming, large, wrap around, enclosed terrace with outdoor seating area, a small lawned area, with firepit and grill above. There is secure off-street parking for 8 guest and an EV charger (chargeable).This exceptional property also features a relaxin seating area and a hot tubthat accommodates up to 8 guests.

It is the perfect extended family escape, or group get together for eight adults (with space for a cot and additional smaller guest on request).
