Llandeilo'r-Fan is located between Llandovery and Brecon, and this lovely village has a church, community hall and a few houses. The nearest shop is in Sennybridge (4.5 miles), though a country walk through the bed of the valley takes you to a lovely pub in Pentre Bach (1.5 miles). There is plenty to see and do within the national park – attractions include the impressive National Showcaves for Wales at Dan yr Ogof (15 miles), Craig-Y-Nos Country Park (16 miles) and 'Waterfall Country’ at Ystradfellte (18 miles) for spectacular cascades. For walkers, Pen-y-Fan (12 miles) and the Black Mountain range (15 miles) are both wonderful for treks. Other activities include river kayaking on the River Wye, salmon fishing on the River Usk and pony trekking at centres throughout the park.
