The village of Ravensworth (1.5 miles) boasts many lovely walks, the ruins of a medieval castle, and a lovely farm shop and cafe. Head to nearby Richmond (5 miles) or Barnard Castle (11 miles), each with a castle to explore and many walks and attractions, including the Easby Abbey (5.5 miles) and The Station (5.5 miles) for a well-deserved slice of cake. Further afield, venture into the Yorkshire Dales National Park (4 miles) and visit the Forbidden Corner (18 miles) or Bolton Castle (15 miles).

Before walking into the cosy confines of this delightful cottage, take a moment to appreciate its breathtaking surroundings. Leave the distant, rolling hills behind you as you step inside, kicking off walking boots in the entrance. Walk past the downstairs WC and into the spacious kitchen/diner, and find everything you need in this modern, homely space to whip up memorable holiday feasts, to be enjoyed at the wooden dining table nearby. After dinner, let your food settle as you unwind in the marvellous lounge in the next room; crash into the sumptuous sofas and watch your favourite shows on the large, Smart TV. When it's time to get some sleep, climb the stairs and choose from two delightful, spacious bedrooms. The super-king-size room has a zip-and-link bed that can be converted to twins on request, while the scenic and chic double bedroom offers further countryside views. Completing the interior is a well-appointed family bathroom.

Outside, at the rear of the cottage, is a well-positioned and scenic garden. Enjoy al fresco morning coffees or evening meals using the table and chairs, and let little ones or any dogs play safely in the enclosed, lawned garden.
