Roomy and comfortable

Nice, quiet location. Lots of room with well equipped kitchen. Direct TV and internet. After one week the only downside was that the agent only leaves 1 roll of toilet paper for 2 bathrooms. This is the 1 item I never considered having to bring

Betty we're glad that you enjoyed your vacation and thank you for sharing your experience. We leave a welcome bag on the kitchen counter that includes a trash bag, a roll of toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, some soap and detergent to get guests through their first day. We hope this helped to get you started and look forward to welcoming you back to Hatteras Island soon!

Unsatisfactory

The location of the property was great, but the cleanliness of the property was extremely disappointing. There was black mold in the hallway bathroom vent, stains all over the carpet and the stove fan completely covered in dust are just a few examples. Also, the property description said there was a hot tub, and there was not.

Hello Carl, Thank you for your review and for your feedback. We looked into why this home would have had "hot tub" advertised, because it does not have one on the amenity list, and isn't represented on the floor plans or in the pictures. It turns out it was a typo "Screened-Hot Tub" in the headline. This has been corrected, and we apologize for this error and any confusion this may have caused. As far as cleanliness is concerned, this not representative our high standards and we appreciate the opportunity to investigate why this occurred. Pleas know, our teams are on standby, only a call or email away, to assist you with any issues you may have during your stay. We look forward to seeing you again soon on Hatteras Island! - Your Friends at Surf or Sound Realty

Short walk to the beach.

We enjoyed our stay at the house, however we were put off by the crawling bugs "mostly" outside the house..

Overall good!

Cute house! Overall, good experience. The kitchen and living area are a bit small but perfect for two to three couples or a single family. Walk to the beach was about 5 minutes. The outside porch was very nice! Some negatives...Emailed the property manager twice before the trip (Surf and Sound) and received no response. Hornets are nesting in the screened in porch and the grill was so rusted/unusable. Make sure to do ALL your shopping before arriving, the “welcome bag” one three rolls of toilet paper and one dishwasher detergent pod.

Hi Julia, Thank you for your review, we're glad to hear you had an enjoyable visit to Hatteras Island. We appreciate the maintenance details you shared and are grateful for the opportunity to address them. Please accept our sincere apologies for the office not responding. This year our phone and message volume has increase dramatically (with Covid-related questions and adjustments to travel plans) and, at times, the volume on inquiries exceeds our capacity to reply in the prompt manner to which we always strive. Your feedback will help us ensure other guests do not find themselves in a similar situation going forward. Thank you again for taking the time to help us with our continual improvement goals! We look forward to seeing you and your family again soon!
