Placez vos valises dans l'entrée à sec, au moment de commencer vos vacances avec une promenade rapide à la plage, ou mieux, profitez d'un plongeon dans la piscine privée rafraîchissante. Entrez et vous trouverez la salle de jeux regorgeant d’activités amusantes à l’intérieur, notamment du baby-foot, une table de billard, une télévision et un bar avec un réfrigérateur et un micro-ondes. A proximité se trouve une chambre avec 2 lits simples qui a un accès facile à la salle de bain complète. Au niveau intermédiaire, chacun peut dormir confortablement dans l'une des 3 chambres principales (2 avec roi et 1 avec 2 lits superposés). Détendez-vous dans le bain à remous apaisant sur le pont à mi-niveau, puis jetez les serviettes mouillées dans la buanderie à mi-niveau, et dirigez-vous à l'étage dans la grande salle ensoleillée dotée d'une télévision à écran LCD avec son surround, d'une cheminée à b tout le monde dans le groupe. Préparez un festin familial dans la cuisine gastronomique avec des comptoirs Silestone, deux fours, deux lave-vaisselle, un réfrigérateur à vin et une machine à glaçons de qualité commerciale, ou faites simplement une sieste dans la chambre principale king avec télévision et salle de bain privée avec jacuzzi. Une fois que vous êtes arrivé au dernier niveau pour admirer un coucher de soleil réussi ou un lever de soleil sur l'océan, vous comprendrez pourquoi il est très logique de rester à SAND DOLLARS..

Great on all accounts!

The house was very nice and accommodated our family perfectly. We appreciated that all 5 bedrooms have a dedicated bathroom and that the kitchen was well stocked for a family that loves to cook. Comfortable beds sitting places, and lots of deck space. The beach is a short walk and felt almost private as it was not at all crowded. We couldn't get the ice maker to work and someone showed up the next business day to set things right. We had a great week!

Couples vacation

There were 6 of us (3 couples) all in our mid 50’s - 60’s. The home was very welcoming and comfortable. Lots of deck space for each level. The only fall back was a lack of an elevator. There are 39 steps from the ground level to the top floor where the kitchen, living room and one of the king suites is. It was very tiring getting the food etc up the 39 steps. A few in our group have knee issues and had a hard time with the steps. We suggest to put an elevator on one of the entrances.

Sand Dollars is very very nice!

This is a very big, clean, and beautiful home with lots of natural light, 360° ocean- and sound-views and balconies everywhere! The kitchen is extremely well-stocked. The ice maker and wine cooler were very much appreciated. The AC was adequate and the extra window units worked great. The pool and brand-new hot tub were clean and refreshing. The game room and wet bar is convenient to the pool and great fun. The bed was so wonderfully comfortable. The bathrooms are huge. Three master bedrooms have their own TV’s, bathrooms and balconies. Linens were provided. Beach chairs are provided. This is a really great house. There is lots of privacy and lots of gathering space. We would stay here again. (Cons: Big windows in upstairs master need black-out shades. Decking needs renovation. Bumper pool game is missing balls. Exterior doors’ weatherstripping and locking mechanisms need repair.) We had a great stay, thank you!

VERY Nice House, Wouldn't Recommend Rental Company

This house was big and very nice. Kitchen was extremally well equipped for a large group, nicely decorated, and views of both the ocean and sound from the top floor. Only real house complaint was that it got warm on the second floor but stayed cool on the top floor. One of the bedrooms got really hot at night and you couldn't adjust the air temperature below 70. However, I wouldn't recommend the company that manages the property. Towels and sheets were not provided, which I found very odd. We rent a vacation house every year (not necessary in OBX) and have never seen that, so I was annoyed at the extra huge cost of renting these items from the realty company since we didn't have room to bring them. To be fair, it was pre advertised. It took them a day and a half after we called to remove a dead bird that was on the porch on our arrival which was gross. We had to book on the realty website after VRBO and pay an extra fee for not booking with them directly. A large deposit was not mentioned in the original listing. Also, one morning while eating breakfast a random realtor came to the door and asked to show the house! We were NOT told she would be there and we weren't dressed or anything yet. The realtor and her clients seemed pretty upset when I told them they couldn't come inside. It was awkward. Lots of nice houses in the OBX. I would pick one that wasn't run by Surf or Sound.

Hi Michelle, Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback on your stay with us at "Sand Dollars". We're so glad you enjoyed the house. We have let the maintenance department know about the 2nd level HVAC, so that can be checked out. Providing towels and sheets is left up to the homeowner, not our company, we only manage the home, however thank you for pointing out that this was in the advertisement. We do offer two choices for for security deposits, so that guest have options. Please accept our sincere apoligies for the realtor showing up unexpectedly, we are checking into that, sometimes that can happen unbeknownst to us. We hope that, with time, you will give us the opportunity to earn your trust again with another stay with us.
