Mountain Delight est une charmante maison située juste au-dessus du complexe Hawksnest, qui propose le snow tubing et la plus longue tyrolienne de la côte est. Cette maison a été récemment rénovée avec de nouveaux électroménagers en acier inoxydable, des carreaux, des planchers de bois franc et de nouveaux meubles. Les vues de cette maison sont à couper le souffle et vous donneront un véritable sentiment de détente chaque jour au coucher du soleil. Profitez des superbes couchers de soleil de cette maison en toute saison. Cette maison est située dans un emplacement central à Seven Devils, juste à côté de l’autoroute 105 offrant un accès facile à Banner Elk, à Sugar Mountain, au complexe Hawksnest, à Boone, à Grandfather Mountain, à Blowing Rock et à Valle Crucis. Cette maison est une vraie maison de 2 chambres / 3 salles de bain, mais elle a été conçue pour fonctionner correctement en tant que 3 chambres pouvant accueillir 8 personnes. La grande salle du premier étage a un beau canapé-lit et un lit gigogne. Jetez un coup d'œil à la façon dont les lits sont disposés pour voir si cela fonctionnera pour votre groupe. Étage principal: - chambre principale complète - 2 personnes - chambre 2 complète - 2 personnes - 2 salles de bain complètes à l'étage: une baignoire. Promenez-vous dans les rues boisées et calmes, jouez au tennis sur les courts du Seven Devils ou pêchez la truite à la grand-père Trout Farm. Pour les pêcheurs adultes, la rivière Watauga, située à proximité, offre certaines des meilleures activités de pêche à la truite de Caroline du Nord. Vous pouvez également planifier une sortie sur la rivière avec la Foscoe Fishing Company ou l'une des autres aventures en plein air. Vous pourrez faire de nombreuses randonnées à proximité, notamment des kilomètres de sentiers dans le Grandfather Mountain Park ou visiter les chutes de Linville à proximité. Après une journée de visites, promenez-vous sur les trottoirs du village voisin de Banner Elk et profitez de l'un de ses restaurants raffinés. En hiver, vous êtes juste en face de Hawks Nest Tubing et à quelques minutes en voiture de la station de ski de Sugar Mountain, dans les environs de Banner Elk et de la station de ski de Beech Mountain. Notez que l'allée peut contenir 2 à 3 véhicules max.

Great location and view!

We loved the proximity to Hawk's nest! The floorplan was excellent because the kids enjoyed the downstairs to watch movies, sleep and have a bathroom. Love the gas fireplace and wood beams. I would just recommend updating furniture and stocking the kitchen a little more. We'd stay here again. Awesome view from the deck!

Great Location with Beautiful setting

This property needs an update of furnishings in the worst way. Sofa and chairs are on their last leg. Also bring your coffee maker and coffee cup. There are only four small cups in the whole cabin. Overall, stay was restful and we overlooked the issues of the cabin and enjoyed skiing which is about 15 min away.

Dirty and un equipped cabin

In spite it is a beautiful cabin with a great potential, We had the worst experience when we arrived to the house with our family and friends. We found all the bathrooms dirty with previous tenants hair, empty shampoo bottles in the showers, social bathroom toilet not attached to the floor, unequipped kitchen for all occupants, basement beds with not enough blankets and sheets, the basement sofa supposedly is a bed and when unfolded, it is in precarious condition.

not clean and unable to house more than 5

Description says it stays up to 8 people but there was not enough silverware, cups, etc so we had to go out and purchase things we assumed would be provided. The house was also EXTREMELY dusty and dishes were not done so many utensils had leftover food on it. Property owner should make sure they are ready and able to properly house the maximum amount of people and have housekeeping at least clean dishes, rooms and wash sheets before having guests check in..

Crystal, our regrets that your experience did not match your expectations. In looking through your correspondence during your stay , the only question was regarding number of towels. There were 5 left on sleeping spots ( beds) folded on each bed. You were informed of the location for the other towels for the pull outs and trundles. The home IS provided with basic cookware (as you were told when you booked ). We recommend that speciality items if needed by a guest should be brought with you. Regarding the occupancy and sleeping arrangements , it is clearly listed what the accommodations are see below taken from that description: Main Floor Master Bedroom - Full Bed (sleeps 2) Bedroom 2 - Full Bed (sleeps 2 ) Two Full Baths on the first floor One Full Bath on the lower level Great room with Queen-sized Sleeper Sofa (Sleeps 2) Twin Day Bed with Trundle (Sleeps 2) We do regret that this was overlooked during the booking process. We make every effort in our listings to be as accurate as possible. Thank you for your comments. Its our fondest hope that you will visit the high country again soon and that we may be able to assist in your future travel plans.

Fix appliances please get new coffee maker

Dyer doesn’t close, there was a piece of Duck tape holding it closed, but it has lost a lot of it’s stickiness, do it opens while drying clothes. Refrigerator leaks lots of water from top. We had to take out all of our food twice, we finally left a towel in there to help absorb the water. And there coffee pot overflows because the coffee maker is sunbeam and the pot is another name so it spills over because it doesn’t connect to the maker. We sent extra time cleaning up coffee, water from the refrigerator and holding dryer shut. There was no table on back patio to enjoy eating outside.. Oh unit has NO AC, and some of the windows don’t open due to overgrowth of bushes and holes (big ones) in screens. Other than that it was nice. But I wouldn’t stay in this property again until everything was fixed.

Great cabin

Great cabin overall. I would suggest having a larger capacity coffee maker. One that can brew at least 8 cups. The 4 cup coffee maker is too small. New bedding would match the new updated bathrooms. New carpeting and furniture will take this cabin to an A+ rating. The newly renovated bathrooms were very nice. And the cabin was very clean. The views spectacular!

Great 2 Fam House for Snowtubing at Hawksnest, but NEEDS deep clean & furniture upgrades

House is perfect size and setup for 2 family trip with small (<10 yr old) kids. Within walking distance to Hawknest for snow tubing. Layout of the house is great too. Main two issues are the den furniture (couches and chairs) are old, musty, and partially broken. On top of that, the place needs a thorough deep clean. Everything felt slightly dirty.

Great house, terrible rental company

The property was great and the location was beautiful, the rental company was awful though. First I asked if wood was provided for the fireplace and they offered to sell it to us for $20/day which we had to reserve ahead of time. We decided to bring our own... it was a gas fireplace. We happened to to over MLK weekend and saw there was some snow predicted. It wasn't until we had arrived that the severity of Storm Izzy was realized, dumping nearly 2 feet of snow. When I reached out to ask if the driveway would be plowed, I received a response essentially saying they can't guarantee anything, but have a company that is contracted to plow after 3 inches at their convenience... at this point we had reached 3 in. 12 hours earlier and no one had come. They went on to say they have a disclaimer we should be prepared for winter conditions and they are not responsible for anything.... this was the worst storm in well over a decade, which no one could have prepared for. Luckily, we had spent the 2 days prior to leaving shoveling the driveway throughout the day or we would not have been able to get out.... we had asled a plow truck going down the street if he could help, but he was too afraid he would get stuck... I'm not sure how the rental company wanted us to prepare for that. There were additional responses that just baffled me as well.

Amanda we are sorry you feel that way about the rental company. You were emailed a winter weather advisory email advising of the weather conditions. We stress to all of our reservations the absolute need for 4WD and or chains. We reached out to arrivals asking if they want to cancel with a full refund due to the roads being inaccesible and in several areas throughout the High Country the county nor NCDOT had touched focusing in stead on keeping the main arteries into and out of the area clear. Your portrayal of the notices and emails is a bit inaccurate. In so far as wood ordering and deliveries. We have sold and delivered firewood since our inception as hd most if not all resort rentals and vacation rental agencies do. Several people with gas fireplaces ask for wood to burn either in a fire pit or chime. Whichever the home may come equipped with.

The rental was not as described in the pictures. It needed some attention in cleanliness especially. The property is overgrown as well. The area is nice overall, but we were disappointed in the condition of the house. We shared our concerns after the fact and were treated fairly and kindly.

No AC and many bugs... watchout.

The house is clean, good maintained and near to all visiting places. We stayed end of the July for three nights. There is no AC in the cabin. It was very hot and we could not sleep. We kept opened windows but there are lot of bugs, mosquitoes, flies, etc. came inside since some of the windows screens are torn. Informed the management but they didnt do anything and ignored our requests.

Perfect location for hawksnest tubing and 2 families

Very nice upgraded house within walking distance of hawksnest. Perfect for 2 families. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and the kids had the downstairs abs worked out great. Did have a couple of minor issues. There was 1 remote for the ceiling fan/light upstairs, and it controlled both but turned off 1 to turn on the other. The dryer door had duct tape to hold it shut. Lastly the loveseat upstairs felts like it was about to fall apart. However those were minor issues and we had a great time. Showers were awesome. Would book again if tubing at hawksnest.

Great experience!

Our experience was great, the view was amazing. Kids loved the extra space to play down stair and outdoors. The cabin was clean and nice except for the carpet it looks old and not very clean. Thank you.

Very nice getaway

The property was well kept and we enjoyed our stay. At 4200ft you get a nice view of the mountains and crystal clean air flowing through the house.

Great Week

Our week stay at Mountain Delight was wonderful. The house was well-equipped with everything we needed to cook meals, the porch is large with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, and the internet allowed us to work without a problem. This house is in a fantastic location with quick, easy access to Hawk's Nest, Grandfather Mountain, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Boone, Blowing Rock, etc. we are already discussing our return.

Better than advertised

The house has been updated since the photos - we were pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The check in process was easy and fast, and the rental management company was very responsive and helpful. The view from the porch was better than the pictures can capture. The kitchen was pretty well stocked and the home was clean. The only thing that would have made it an even better stay would have been an outdoor fire pit and more porch furniture, especially a table to eat on. It did get warm during the day but with windows open at night and fans, no one really minded not having AC. There is a short hike to a waterfall (Otter Falls) down the hill. Overall, very pleasant stay and would gladly come again!

Beautiful house with amazing views

Mountain delight is true to its name. The house is beautiful with large windows that provides best views all around. The deck is huge. Would have loved some additional seating / picnic bench outside to enjoy the grill. It is very well located with minutes drive to a lot of activities. We had a lot of fun and would probably book here again

I will start off with the positives including the amazing views, well stocked kitchen, good location (near attractions in Banner Elk, Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock, Hawk's Nest is literally right down the road), and responsive support staff that addressed our questions in a timely manner. It would have been nice if there were deck furniture to enjoy al fresco meals. The upper deck is screaming for lounging chairs, picnic and coffee tables. The bedrooms need nightstands and hangers. Overall, it was a great stay for our family. This was a working vacation so I was a little concerned about cell reception and having a reliable internet connection but I had no problems whatsoever staying connected. Overall, our family enjoyed our stay and would recommend this rental. Getting a daily dose of fresh mountain air was wonderful!
