Peaceful setting, among vineyards on outskirts of St Sulpice de Faleyrens. Small dining area and kitchen but no living room. 2 good size bedrooms, one with double bed and one with 2 singles. Stairs to bedrooms a bit much if you’re infirm. Lovely pool and garden area for outside eating,Cynthia, who looks after the property is delightful.

A really lovely place to stay

The property was lovely and well finished. Perfect distance just outside the village. Beautiful countryside and close to surrounding villages for sightseeing. A perfect place and location to spend a quiet week relaxing

Cynthia is a excellent host and met us when we arrived She was very helpful offered great restaurant recommendations, and things to see or avoid in town The bed was comfortable and the house was clean. The outdoor area is lovely, but in cooler weather there was limited space to relax inside. The property is ideally located to explore the region and we enjoyed our stay

Great location for Saint Emilion

We found everything to be fantastic from checking in (Cynthia is a delightful host and excellent tourist information guide) to checking out. We used a number of her reastaurant recommendations and ate like royality. The bed was comfortable and everywhere was sparklingly clean. St Sulpice de Faleyrens is ideally located to explore the region with a train station less than 10 minutes away. We had a fantastic stay and will happily return.

Nice base to stay in Saint-Emilion

We had a very nice stay at Claude and Myriam's. They were friendly and very welcoming and had plenty of suggestions for the area. Wineries are all within a short drive from the property. The one downside is the main sitting area isn't very big. While there is a patio table outside, when it was raining, the inside felt a little cramped. Would recommend for a short stay in the area.

My dear Paul, I thank you for your kind appreciation, however I would like to answer to your feedback about the living room : It measures approximately 25 m2, we have obtained 3*** stars, which implies that the dimensions of the cottage are compatible with the stay of 4 people. We rent the etablishment in high season per week, could be more for 10 years, and we never had this observation.You unfortunatly passed one night under the rain in our appartment, i suppose this is the reason that skewed your feeling and we are really sorry for this. I remind you that there is also a covered lounge in the garden which is very popular, even when it rains.

Wonderful base for exploration of the Saint Emilion area!

Claude and Myriam are wonderful hosts, who welcomed our family of 4 with lots of advice and guidance about how to best enjoy and learn in the Saint Emilion region. Claude’s advice set is off on the right path as we stared learning about this region. This property is beautiful, and the space is great for a family. Do bring bug spray to best enjoy the time outside throughout this beautiful part of Bordeaux.

This was a very memorable stay

From the moment we booked, Cynthia was in touch to make this a great experience. Close to St Emilion we loved exploring the area and even walking next door for a great tasting. It was so nice to sit outside every morning to have our coffee and breakfast. The beds were very comfortable and washrooms very clean. Each evening we were able cook som very nice meals, sit outside and enjoy the various wines we brought back. Cynthia was very helpful directing us to bike routes. Restaurants and markets close by. A fabulous and memorable experience

Cynthia, the host, met us upon arrival and gave us some great information about the property and the surrounding areas. She was always available by text or phone to help. The property was just what we needed to relax and be our own boss not subject to the timings of a hotel. A well equipped kitchen and a comfortable bed with AC in the bedroom. We never got to use the pool as we were off exploring g every day but it did look inviting.The location is perfect for visiting Saint Emillion and the surrounding areas. Chateau Mauvinon, which 200 metres up the road is a great place to visit and have a glass of wine and some charcuterie on the roof top terrace.Saint Emillion is about 15 minute drive, you could easily cycle there if you had a bike or a taxi is around 55 to 60 return.Overall we would certainly recommend the property

Super séjour

Très bon accueil et bons conseils sur les visites de la part des propriétaires. Gîte très bien équipé, agréable et très bien situé. L’extérieur notamment la piscine est très reposant. On serait bien restés quelques jours de plus pour continuer à profiter.

Heerlijk verblijf in een geweldige omgeving

Het appartement was comfortabel en heeft een heerlijk zwembad. Claude en Myriam zijn zeer vriendelijk en hebben goede tips gegeven (o.a. Van een geweldige middeleeuws spektakel). De omgeving tussen de druiven velden is geweldig en Saint Emilion en Bordeaux zeer mooi!

Tolle Lage der Ferienwohnung

Wir hatten eine schöne Woche in der Ferienwohnung. Ideal für Ausflüge nach Bordeaux, St Emilion,... Wir konnten leider den Pool und den Garten wetterbedingt nicht wirklich genießen. Die Gastgeber waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Der Kontakt war sehr einfach und direkt da sie im Nebenhaus wohnen.

The Perfect position for St Emilion ..

Situated 6km from St Emilion this property is ideal 4 those interested in the history of wines from this special area. The property is set in a delightful garden with lovely pool, spacious bedrooms & kitchen with all mod cons. Claude & Mirium our hosts were very generous & assisted with bookings & recommendations.

Relaxing retreat among the vineyards

Claude and Myriam were the ultimate hosts. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel at home. Claude very kindly took us under his wing and informed us about what there was to visit in the area. We were given maps, brochures and details of wineries - Claude even went as far as booking visits for us to local chateaus! The rooms were lovely and spotless however the bathroom was our favorite - what a great shower! Claude and Myriam kindly provided us with towels as well which we needed for not only the shower but the pool, too. Breakfast in the morning was delightful (the croissants and bread some of the best we've ever had!) and it was great to chat some more with C+M. We will be back for sure!
