Apartamento Piteres is a renovated, elegant Spanish apartment in the heart of Altea. This duplex apartment (on 2 floors) has been carefully designed and benefits from a large and airy split-level living room, which opens onto an ample south-facing balcony with lovely views across the bay of Altea.

Location: Apartamento Piteres is in the centre of the charming town of Altea, just 45 minutes from Alicante airport. Altea is a restful resort with plenty to see and do without the hubbub of some of the busier coastal towns in the region. The town is a holiday haven for the more discerning tourist who will be captivated by its medieval cobbled streets, its picture book old quarter, and the delights of its palm-fringed seafront esplanade.

Altea has three parts – the new town, the old town, and the esplanade. Apartamento Piteres is in the old town (casco antiguo), approached through cobbled streets flanked by whitewashed houses adorned with bougainvillea. At the summit is the church square – dominated by the church of the Virgen del Consuelo, with its famous blue tiled Moorish domes. All around are arts shops and galleries, together with excellent restaurants and bars. By contrast is the esplanade – not a boisterous affair, but rather a pleasant place to meet and relax – popular with Spanish families dining and chatting. Separating the old part and the seafront is the modern town. This is a busy shopping area with plenty of antique shops. There are also many agreeable cafes where you can watch the world go.

Arts & Entertainment: Historically, Altea is a cultural town – a centre for artists and painters with exhibitions all year in the many galleries as well as the Museo Navarro Ramon and the Casa de Cultura. Situated in the old town is the Palau Altea – an important Arts Centre in the Valencia region. Here you can experience theatre, all types of music, opera, ballet, and of course flamenco. Fiestas happen throughout the year in Altea, often accompanied with brilliant firework displays. The battle of the Christians and Moors fiesta is at the end of September, when the town becomes a riot of musical processions and parades.

The host was wonderful. The apartment was wonderful. Altea was wonderful. I was so sad to have to leave. The apartment was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The view is stunning. We walked from the tram and had no issues getting up the hill. It’s a good location close to old town but not far from the esplanade. The only negative thing I have to say is that the towels were hard and scratchy. I recommend this place highly.

Amazing Apartment in Altea

Víctor offers the perfect opportunity to experience the stunning beauty of Altea. His apartment is placed very near the top of the historic district providing breathtaking views of the Mediterranean from the heart of the historic district. The apartment itself feels more like a house and is spaciously spread out over two floors with architectural charm that features the view. The terrace and dedicated parking space are important extra features. Last, communication with Victor was excellent including detailed printed instructions with pictures that answered every question you may have. We highly recommend this property in Altea and hope to return someday soon!

Lovely New Year break in Altea

We had a wonderful week over New Year in Vic's apartment in Altea. It is a great place for a winter break. We were having a week of climbing at the local crags and Altea is a good base for a number of the climbing areas. There were only 2 of us, but it would be a good apartment for two couples or 3 friends, as each bedroom has its own bathroom. The sitting room has lovely views over to the sea and was a wonderful place to relax. The balcony gets morning sun in the winter and is quite a sun trap. It was also very nice that have heating for the evenings when it is a bit chillier. Kitchen has everything that you need, but it is also very easy to walk to cafes and restaurants in the Old Town. There is a small local shop that seems to sell everything and is just a couple of streets away. We found parking easier in the public (free) car park below the apartment, rather than on the street outside. The apartment is at the top of a steep hill on a no through road, and in a larger car, it's a bit difficult to turn around when there are lots of other cars parked. Would definitely recommend the apartment and Vic was really helpful with instructions and advice.

A special, fantastic and rewarding experience!

March, 2019 Apartamento Piteres is that special type of place that grabs you the minute you walk in! It provides you with a sense of home that gives you immediate relief that your selection of a holiday retreat was special! The entry is welcoming and the bedrooms are inviting, but more importantly, as you venture up a flight of stairs you are greeted by a comfortable sitting area mere steps away from formal dining and a fully equipped kitchen. As you turn from the sitting area and gaze out across the very usable balcony you are confronted with a beautiful vista across part of Altea to the harbour below and the headlands of Serra Gelada... very scenic and impressive... a sight you will enjoy every day! The amenities go on! Broadband is very quick and television is complete from Netflix, Amazon Prime and a host of channels including BBC! You won’t want for entertainment or simple relaxation, and the fast broadband permits easy and efficient communication with friends and relatives. Location... the apartment is but a short jaunt from the delights of the old Pueblo - the church, the plaza, enumerable shops and a multitude of good restaurants! Yes, there are steps and inclines to navigate in some cases... take your time and enjoy the streets of old town or perhaps venture down to the beach, the beachfront and even more shops and restaurants! It has been a fantastic month long stay at Vic’s apartment and certainly one we won’t soon forget! Perhaps the most important aspects are the timely responses and thoughtful assistance provided by Vic. All aspects have been fabulous, indeed, and last but not least, there are the people of this wonderful village! Overall this is simply an outstanding place - we will be back!

Agréable séjour

Nous avons passé une agréable semaine à Altea. Le logement est spacieux, fonctionnel avec 2 chambres, 2 salles de bain, 2 toilettes, et propre. La climatisation dans chaque pièce est très appréciable. Il y a tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner sereinement. Il y a une machine à laver ce qui permet de ne pas trop s encombrer pour la semaine, les draps et serviettes sont fournis. L emplacement est idéal, car le centre avec les commerces est à 5 min à pied, la plage est à 10 min. Le système pour récupérer et déposer les clés dans le boîtier est bien, car cela nous permet d arriver tranquillement et de partir tranquillement également sans attendre une tierce personne. La seule chose qui serait à améliorer c est un frigo un peu plus grand, pour pouvoir mettre plus de bouteilles au frais en période estivale car c est vite plein. Merci à vous.

Emplacement idéal, vu sur mer très calme, rien ne manque si le rosados dans le frigo.

Great apartment, great location

We had a fantastic stay in Altea, much thanks to this lovely apartment. Victor was great and we received superb information about all practical things. Location could not be better, 2 minutes walk to the church and 10 minutes walk to the beach. Wonderful balcony with fantastic sea view. The apartment is equipped with everything you need, two good size bedrooms and two nice bathrooms. Highly recommended!

Gemütliche Wohnung in allerbester Lage

Ein ausgesprochen gemütliches Apartment mit toller Terasse und wunderschnönem Blick auf das Meer und in hervorragender Lage. Man ist in wenigen Minuten an der Strandpromenade und ebenfalls im Zentrum der Altstadt. Buen gusto y comodidad

Está situado en una zona inmejorable, las vistas desde la terraza son espectaculares. La casa es preciosa y está surtida con todo lo que puedas necesitar y más. Hemos estado en agosto y no hemos tenido problema para aparcar el coche cerca de casa. Vic, el propietario, fué muy amable y se aseguró el primer día que todo estuviera correcto. La casa está situada a 5 minutos andando de la parte antigua, zona de restaurantes y tiendas, pero a la vez fuera del ruido de estas calles. La casa no es apta para personas con movilidad reducida.

Great holiday in Altea

Lovely break in Altea, the property was immaculate and very spacious. There is a large terrace and lovely apartment. The apartment is located close to the main square in Altea with lots of bars and restaurants. Victor was incredibly helpful and the check in was smooth and easy. I would recommend this apartment and visit again.

Fabulous break in Altea

The apartment is gorgeous-every home comfort, fabulous location and a breathtaking view. This was our first visit to the area and we’ll be back. Altea itself is definitely the most beautiful resort on this coastline but the local train makes it easy to visit the neighbouring resorts and further afield. We would recommend Victor’s apartment to anyone looking to stay in the area and hopefully we’ll be back before too long.

Family vacation best apartment in Altea!!

We loved this cute, quaint apartment!2 couple and 17 year old and it was perfect! Great amenities in the kitchen! Just a short walk to middle of Altea where the beautiful church is located! Victor communicated all the details and was very helpful!! Would stay here again! Note that no a/c in living room and kitchen but fans and a/ c downstairs made it pleasant!! Thanks for a great stay!!

Fantastic!

My sister and I recently got back from Altea and felt we should say how much we enjoyed staying in Victor’s flat. Although situated on a steepish hill, the flat’s position provides wonderful views across the bay, and it’s just a couple of minutes from Altea’s lovely church square. We didn’t hire a car, so it was great to find the railway station was just a short walk down the hill on the way to the sea-front. The promenade is full of lovely cafes and bars, plus a bicycle hire shop, which we made use of. The flat itself is full of character and contained everything we needed. The kitchen is fully equipped, and it was nice to have the use of two bathrooms. As our visit was in the winter, we did watch a little television, and it was fantastic to have a fast broadband connection that allowed us to get Netflix properly. We needed to re-set the valuables safe so we were really grateful for the help of Anita and Stuart who look after the flat for Victor. If you’re after staying in a property that’s welcoming and homely, then this is the one for you. We’re definitely going to stay there again – next time in the summer.

Un séjour au top !!

Nous avons passé une semaine superbe chez Victor à Altéa. L'appartement est magnifique avec une vue sublime sur la mer. Il est situé à 10mn à pied de la plage et au cœur de la vielle ville. Victor est très accueillant et accessible. Il a répondu à chacune de nos demandes dans un temps record et toujours avec gentillesse. Je tiens à le remercier chaleureusement. Altéa est une très belle ville pittoresque avec ses petites ruelles et ses boutiques. Nous avons eu un vrai coup de cœur... Attention si vous avez des enfants en bas âges, il y a des escaliers partout...pas évident avec les poussettes ;-) Le bord de mer est plus accessible et il y a beaucoup de restaurants. Nous retournons là-bas sans soucis et retournerons chez Victor les yeux fermés car nous avons passé un super séjour.

A fantastic apartment with a picture postcard view

We had never been to Altea before and when looking for somewhere to stay we were immediately attracted by the views over the bay from the terrace and we were definitely not disappointed. The apartment is traditional yet with all mod cons and is really well set out with the 2 bedrooms on the ground floor and the kitchen, dining area and lounge on the 2nd floor with the really good sized terrace. The views from inside the apartment and from the terrace over the bay of Altea are really breath taking and we enjoyed many hours just chilling here. While we only ate breakfast in the apartment the kitchen is really well equipped with lots of equipment and utensils as well as a dishwasher. A small utility room off the kitchen has the washing machine, fridge and freezer. Victor was very helpful throughout the booking process and provided lots of information about the apartment and surrounding area including organising a taxi to collect us at the airport. The welcome pack which included water, milk, bread, butter, sugar, coffee, wine and tonic water was most welcome as our flight was delayed over 4hrs and everywhere was closed when we got there at 1.30am. The apartment is only 5 minutes from the main square at the old church with the numerous restaurants, bars and shops and only about 10 mins from the beach. The quality of the apartment and it's location (and that view!) really helped make our holiday in Altea one to remember and we would definitely recommend it to anyone. We will definitely be back sometime in the future.

More than expected

We where initially unsure of what to expect as we had not booked this type of holiday before but the owner was able to set us at ease and supply all the information requested. When we entered the apartment and went up the stairs to the living area the view that hits you made the holiday, we sat for hours just relaxing and looking at the views. The accommodation was first class a home from home with all the facilities you could ask for, the short walk to the town square with its beautiful church and several choices of bars and restaurants both in the square and radiating from it the whitewashed street catering for all tastes. It turned out to be just the relaxing holiday we needed, we have recommended this property and its owner to our family and friends and are seriously considering another visit in the near future.

Wonderful!

My friend and I had a week’s stay in Apartamento Piteres, and the only problem was we wish it could have been longer. First impressions of the apartment were the amount of space and airiness and the absolutely stunning views from the lounge and balcony. The apartment had all the facilities we needed, and we loved sitting out on the terrace with it’s great views of the bay – both during the day and at night! This was our first time in Altea, and we were surprised how lovely it is. We discovered the flat was just a few minutes walk to the church square in the old town where there are loads of really good restaurants and bars. Because there was so much to do we hardly watched TV, but it was good having all the main UK TV channels. There is also a very good sound system in the lounge- we connected our iPhones and streamed on wifi which was perfect for enjoying music whilst out on the balcony. We hired bicycles to explore the beautiful areas in and around Altea, and even went into Benidorm, which I suppose is the flipside of the coin, but fun all the same. We would definitely recommend this apartment, which is so well situated. We’re now looking forward to our next visit.
