Reposant paisiblement au bord de l'océan à Corolla, Sand Dollar est une charmante maison de location bien équipée pour vos prochaines vacances à Outer Banks. Cette maison de plage de 5 chambres à coucher offre une atmosphère côtière décontractée et de superbes équipements pour vous et votre groupe. Une piscine privée, un bain à remous, une salle de jeux et un terrain de volley-ball vous permettront de vous divertir facilement. Lorsque vous êtes prêt à vous détendre, sortez sur les terrasses spacieuses et admirez la belle vue sur l'océan.

Lumineuse, aérée et prête à accueillir vos invités, la grande salle située au dernier étage est un espace apaisant agrémenté de touches de bois, d’une cheminée et d’un décor nautique. Cet espace ouvert comprend également une grande cuisine avec beaucoup de comptoirs, des appareils électroménagers en acier inoxydable et des sièges de bar pour que tout le monde puisse se réunir et disposer de son propre espace. Au moment de manger, dirigez-vous vers la salle à manger pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 8 personnes. Une suite King Master privée se trouve également à proximité avec un bain à remous et un accès aux terrasses bien exposées.

Deux suites principales supplémentaires se trouvent au premier niveau avec des lits Queen et des salles de bain privées. Les adolescents et les enfants de votre famille apprécieront leur propre espace dans la chambre double �� lits superposés ou dans la chambre double à lits jumeaux comprenant une PlayStation et une télévision pour les jeux nocturnes.

Lovely house

The house was lovely and very roomy. We enjoyed being able to hang out comfortably in the living area with plenty of space. We had a few issues but the owner was quick to handle them. The only tiny disappointment was the listing showed a pool volleyball net but there wasnt one available. Overall we loved this place and would recommend!

This was my first time staying in OBX and I can’t wait to come back again next year! The house was great and we were just a short distance to the beach. Kids and adults all had a great time!

Did not meet expectations

For the one-week generous fee, the property was not what was expected. Many of the lights and fans in the house did not function, stains on sofa and chair cushions, and the house was not clean. Found an old baby bottle, with milk, under one bed and other rooms had popcorn kernels on the floor. Even the teenagers noticed. Would not recommend this property.

Sincere apologies for the housekeeping issues that you experienced. We have rented our home for over 15 years and have never received complaints from our renters such as the condition you describe. We depend upon our local property management to maintain our home to the highest standards. We have provided your feedback to mitigate this issue for future renter. We have requested that the weekly turnover inspection report be provided to monitor. Based on this review, we are considering contracting with another management company.

We expected more

Overall the condition of this home is tired. We loved the kitchen and the pool but some of the furnishings were stained and some of the bedding was tattered. The deck on the top floor was badly in need of attention as there was at least one loose board and the wood looked like it had never been stained so it was very rough to walk on .It was not a home we would consider staying in again.

Outer Banks is awesome for families

The house was a perfect size for 11. We had a few maintenance issues but they were handled very quickly. The beaches are awesome.

Summer vacation at Corolla

This property had plenty of room for our crew of 10, which included a child, a couple teens and adults. The location was perfect with easy access to the grocery store, restaurants and shopping and 4x4 beach access. And a short and easy walk right to the beach, thanks to the walkway which is only 3 houses down from the Sand Dollar. The pool and hot tub were perfect and used constantly. We didn't use the picnic table because it seemed a little unsteady and there a few nails on the decks that could be hammered down. But there are chairs on the decks to sit and there's also plenty of room at the dining room table.

Nice place. Would consider again.

Everything was good. Pool was nicely heated. Beds were a bit firm for us. Beach access was easy but no sand toys found on property. Billiards setup was a bit tight in the room but it worked. There was a Keurig and standard coffee maker. We had a small issue with the thermostat schedule since it could not be locked to a temperature but we were able to set it to 70 repeatedly throughout the day. There was a GFCI outlet in the carport which was great for charging the plugin hybrid. Thanks Alex!

The Perfect Getaway

We had such a fabulous trip! Loved the hot tub and having a heated pool option was amazing (especially in April). Weather was nice. Great proximity to the beach! Received a text from the owner upon arrival to make sure everything was as expected. The pool heater was acting up a little but Alex was very prompt in getting the pool company over to fix things and they were proactive about coming back to check on it all. We are looking forward to going back!

This place has everything you could want…and more

There isn’t anything bad I have to say about this property. The area is awesome and perfectly located about a 3 minute walk from the beach. This place has a great floor plan, a wide open common area on the top floor, then most of the bedrooms are located on the second floor. The lower level has the game room with pool and darts. We had 9 people (4 adults and 5 kids ranging from 10 to 17) and there was plenty of room for us all to be very comfortable. The owner was great to work with and the company caring for the property was responsive and prompt if anything was needed. Everything was great and we will definitely be heading back again.

Sand Dollar vacation

Reading prior positive reviews, I was impressed with the friendliness of the owner and subsequent comments. I was taken by surprise by the curt (bordering on rude) communications I had with Alex. It somewhat diminished the enthusiasm I had for our upcoming stay, unfortunately. The kitchen was perfect, well stocked with all we could need. The living space suitable for us. The pool was great. Had some issues with master bathroom and response time was slow from management. Ultimately we resolved the issue. We came expecting to grill many times and and after seeing the condition of the grill, we purchased one, as the property’s grill was so coated and filthy it wasnt usable. Having been an OBX visitor many times, my overall experience this time was less favorable than I have experienced previously. This was my younger family members’ first experience as adults and they enjoyed their stay, which was my primary goal….so that was good.

HIDE & SEEK

Although this is a ver nice home to rent, the owner needs to supply more information in the form of a folder or book in an obvious location.....such as a we have always found on a coffee table or kitchen counter. The realty company gave us the pass word for internet, which was incorrect. And after 24 hours without service, we finally located the router where the correct password was posted. Overall, it was a great home and a memorable stay!!

Great vacation property!

Although would have appreciated the kitchen being a little cleaner. Just had to wipe down a few things. It truly was a beautiful home and well cared for. The pool was sparkling clean as well as the hot tub! Easy access to the beach walk. Alex was very responsive with questions we had as well as resort realty. Loved our stay!

Beautiful place to relax!

We loved our stay at The Sand Dollar! Plenty of space for adults and kids, great hot tub and pool, close to the beach, close to the grocery store and restaurants, what more do you need!? We had one issue with the pool heat partway through our stay, turned out that the propane tank was empty and the owner was kind enough to refund us for part of the heating fee. Still didn't stop our kids from getting in the pool, though! We'd happily stay here again!

We had a great stay The Sand Dollar.

The house was well-equipped with everything we needed and the owner was responsive to any questions we had. Each bedroom had its own bathroom (one was Jack and Jill), the lower level was a great second space to hang out, and the location was great.

Nice location

Property was in decent shape previous reviews stated mold in many of the vent filters which still was not corrected. Stated additional cleaning because of the Covid don’t believe that was implemented.House was nicely priced if that’s what you’re looking for.

Thank you for your feedback . We are planning to address the dirty filter issue, but we need the property to be empty in order to complete the work. It is due to the amount of moisture in the system and people setting the a/c too low. We have inspections being done after the turnover so we maintain covid level standards. Family Vacation

The layout of the house worked perfectly for us! Enjoyed the use of the pool table, swimming pool, and hot tub in the evenings after a day at the beach!! Located just a few houses down from a boardwalk path which leads directly to a beach entrance, close to stores (Harris Teeter/Food Lion/Ace Hardware). Home owner was very easy to communicate with and quick to respond to our questions about the house. Easy check in and check process via emails received from management company.

Sand Dollar beach house in OBX

Home owner,Alex , immediately addressed our issue with broken box spring in kids bedroom. Also answered all our questions before the trip. Kitchen very well stocked. We brought extra towels and kitchen towels so we had plenty. Closets could use some hangers. Only closet that had hangers was master bedroom and these were from dry cleaner..

Overall was a good stay

House could have been cleaned better upon arrival. Furniture/ House could use updating and carpets are very dirty. The house was spacious and did have everything we needed for a good Beach vacation. Is a little walk to the Beach. Was nice to have the cart provided.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will take the effectiveness of cleaning up with my property management company. In this age of COVID it is critical that we meet or exceed CDC standards for cleaning. That is my guarantee to all our renters.

Great Get-Away!!

It's a wonderful house!!! We had a great time in OBX for a much needed vacation. The house was beautiful and very roomy and had everything we needed. We were only 2 blocks from the beach with an easy walking path. The pool and hottub were a huge success for our teenaged guests and also for us adults after a long day at the beach! The house has many bathrooms which we loved! The owners were very easy to work with especially concerning the changing status of the COVID regulations. We appreciate them staying in close contact with us. The only thing we needed were a few more dish towels! We loved the on-the-counter ice cube maker. That was KEY!! Check in and Check out were super easy! Thanks for a great vacation!!

Frieds stay at Sanddollar

Our family along with friends stayed at Sanddollar 8/10-8/17. We had a great week, in a great location. The house had great space and everything we needed. We had great communication with the property owner every step of the way which was helpful. We did however have very little communication with the Management company. I made one call to inquire about checkin process and was told I would receive an email with all the information in a welcome packet. I never received that email. That lead to having no information on check-our process. We were left to guess on what our responsibilities were when leaving the house.
