Ce duplex est situé dans une rue charmante et sécurisée à deux rues du lac Merritt et à 10 minutes de Bart, du musée Oakland de Californie et de tous les magasins de Grand Ave et de Lakeshore (Safeway, Trader Joes, CVS, Peets et bien d’autres). Visitez le Oakland Spice Shop et cuisinez dans notre cuisine entièrement équipée avec des appareils haut de gamme, ou sortez dans tous les restaurants étonnants qui entourent le lac. Marchez jusqu'à Bart ou louez un FORD GOBIKE ou un scooter (LIME & BIRD) disponibles dans tout le lac. Un parking dans la rue est disponible pour votre location ou votre voiture Zip Car à plusieurs endroits autour du lac. Laveuse / sécheuse Bosch disponible dans l'unité avec fonction de nettoyage pour bébé.

Cette unité est sur un deuxième étage, donc il y a 16 marches pour un appartement privé. Tous les sols en bambou foncé avec des tapis magnifiques. Phenomenal place. Location can't be beat, space was great and more kid-friendly than anywhere we've stayed. Really felt like staying at a friend's place rather than a pseudo-hotel experience like most nowadays. Host was great too in communicating and helping with some of our special requests. We come to Oakland regularly and this will be our first choice for where to stay, going forward.

We found the view of the garden quite peaceful as we ate breakfast each morning. The kids enjoyed reading the many books and playing the games during their downtime. Beds were comfy and bathroom was clean. Carlos was friendly and responsive. We look forward to staying here again.

We all absolutely loved this property. I just about had to drag my sister in law out of it. Very comfortable with a nice walkable distance to the lake. The decor is absolutely lovely and it is much bigger than I expected. Easy trips via ride share into and out of San Francisco. The owners are very responsive. We will definitely book again if we travel back that way.

Great location for Oakland visit to see my son. Loved the uniqueness of Carlos’ place. Lovely neighborhood to just walk around in and admiring the care and work people put into their gardens. Great place to stay during our visit to our daughter in Oakland. Carlos has decorated the unit nicely. There is plenty of room to spread out. I have bad knees and had no problems with the stairs. Hope to be back.

Hello...My name is Carlos, I own WeBeBop a women's apparel company which specializes in large sizes. My wife is Katherine and she works for UC's Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Our son Leo is in 10th grade. He loves math and science, is on a water polo team and practices capoeira. We are all foodies, and love to cook and travel, garden, and do outdoor activities and urban adventures.

My wife and I both grew up in Southern California and moved to the SF Bay Area to attend UC Berkeley. We have lived in Oakland for around 20 years and love the area! We would be happy to share a our tips about restaurants and things to do.

Location, location, location...We love our home because it's in the heart of everything. Originally one house built in 1912, we have spent the last 15 years transforming this place into an amazing, arty duplex.

Being able to walk everywhere is awesome. Being by the lake, "the jewel of Oakland," offers walking/running paths and a picnicking scene. We are close to lovely shopping districts with local eateries, shops, a historic movie theater, and the Saturday Farmers' Market. And if you have young kids we are walking distance to Fairyland, a charming, historic amusement park.

Our house has many wonderful unique features...Like the two Balinese statues in the front, the dark bamboo floors, the denim wall, and lots of sunshine! You will feel as if your staying in a magical tree house.

This house has been a labor of love for our entire family.
