The house was very clean. Can use some update to the kitchen & bathroon. There is no actual beach, but we were aware of this after discussing with our host Alicia. The view from the back patio was beautiful - exactly as the picture shows. We had a couple of issues upon arrival, but Jessica, the property manager was very helpful and responded immediately. We enjoyed our stay at Sand Star.

Very clean and well-equipped unit which included 2 lounge chairs overlooking a very beautiful and multi-coloured ocean, and a paddle board and kayak.

Alicia & Jessica were both very helpful upon our arrival. They helped with booking a taxi, ferry & golf cart. We had some internet issues the first night; however Jessica was over the top helpful in helping us get it working. The house was clean and the view was amazing. The sound of the water was music to our ears. We had to leave two days early due to their not being a plane ride from North Elurerthra back to Nassau. The beach was rockier that we thought it would be; therefore, we went to the beach in town everyday we were there. The people of Spanish Wells were amazing! Everyone was so helpful and nice. The fireworks for Christmas and New Years were out of this world. The area the house was in was very quiet and easy to relax. Thank you for a great stay!

Great Trip!

Perfect place for a secluded, romantic getaway! My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and had a wonderful, relaxing time! Hanging out in the yard/porch and staring out into the ocean was just what we needed! Be sure to check out Sandbar across the street! It’s a great little place on the water!

Great Getaway

We had a great relaxing 10 day stay. Thoroughly enjoyed the quiet and relaxing atmosphere of this home and the islands. Originally booked for 7 days and extended our stay to 10 as we found it hard to leave this paradise. Alicia was very responsive and great to work with.

Easter weekend turned vacation

My favorite part was star gazing whilst listening to the waves lapping and taking in the fresh sea breeze at night! Quiet, set back and so peaceful, just what we all needed! Beautiful and Peaceful

Comfortable house with great porch view of the ocean. Alicia was most informative and responsive to questions, and helped make our arrival and stay smooth and comfortable. A suggestion: having a standing fan on the back porch would greatly help on hot days with no wind to not only stay cool but also blow the obnoxious flies away.

Short Stay

Small, very basic. We arrived a bit early and Property was not ready for us - eventually manager came to make beds and tidy up after check-in time. There is no beach but nice views. Furnishings and fixtures are pretty dated and cottage could use a little TLC. Overall fine but we will not likely choose this property again.

Hi Allison, Apologies again for the beds not being made up yet. We were switching the mattresses to provide more comfort for guests around the time of your visit. On the islands we ship almost everything in and weather and other things can cause unanticipated delays. BTW all furniture, except for recently changed beds, was purchased less than 5 years ago. Hopefully you’ll visit the island again someday and have a more inspiring experience.

Wonderful property a perfect place to get away. Super quiet area….peaceful….looking out at the ocean from the back and the living room. Great restaurant/bar across the road which made it even better. All of our questions were answered so quickly! Can’t recommend enough!

What a perfect place to relax! We took kayaks out and found a secret beach.The sunsets are beautiful! close to Sandbar Beach Bar perfect for lunch & dinner. Candida was so helpful with all of our questions!!

7 Days in Paradise

The view from the property was absolutely incredible—definitely one of the highlights of the stay. The beach is coral rather than sand, so water shoes are a must, but that also means the snorkeling is amazing, with plenty of fish and marine life to see just steps from the shore.The house itself had a great tropical vibe and was very clean and well-maintained. It felt secluded and peaceful, thanks to the surrounding trees and vegetation (which also helped block the ocean winds), but everything in town was just a short golf cart ride away—super convenient.The host was great—very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The beds were a little firm for our taste, but the house came well-stocked with kitchen essentials, towels, linens, and even games, which was a nice touch.

Sand star on Russel Island

We enjoyed our stay. The cottage is very nice. The view is gorgeous! Beautiful turquoise ocean! Not good snorkeling from the shore of the property as we had hoped. We took two excursions and enjoyed them. You definitely need a golf cart or car to get around.

Absolutely Beautiful

My wife and I stayed at Sand Star for 2 weeks and it was great. The property is very clean and has a beautiful view. Snorkelling was great right off the back yard. Candida was great to work with, and she respond immediately to every question and request. We will return.

Fantastic house

The house was great, very clean and nice. Kitchen has everything you need and also the bbq was perfect. Outside veranda is fantastic to have meal because there is always a light breeze. The access to the sea is not easy forcthe kids but there is a nice beach just opposite to the road they could go by themself.

Very last minute save!

Thank you so much for being open to such a tight turnaround! We had to move our trip by two days due to an ice storm and this little place saved our sanity! Such a great view, fabulous location to stumble back from the Sandbar, very cute furniture! Also, a delightfully helpful property manager that was beyond communicative! Thank you!!

I live in British Columbia, Canada. I spent holidays visiting Eleuthera and lived there for 3 years before moving to Canada. I always look forward to going back to the islands. The ocean is clear, beautiful, and warm during the summer. I love scuba diving and snorkeling; amazing ways to connect with sea-life because the waters are so clear. The seafood is fresh and tasty, and people love to have a good time. Christmas time in the islands is special because its a time for family and friends to be together.
I love to travel and have also lived in the Bahamas, US and Guyana.

I enjoy the quiet life that Spanish Wells/Russel Island, Eleuthera has to offer. People are friendly, personable and helpful. It is so safe that people leave their keys in the car. The house is great because the cool breeze rolling off the ocean lulls you to relax. You can sit on the porch and watch the cruise ships pass by.
A five minute walk takes you to a popular restaurant with its own beach.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

I immediately fell in love with the amazing view of the ocean which you can enjoy inside and outside. You can watch the sunset, and the various ships that occasionally pass by as they travel the Atlantic Ocean. The house is nestled in a mature garden with a lawn that leads to the beach. There are neighbours on either side but it’s so quiet and cozy you would not notice. The house is spacious with most amenities to keep you comfortable and connected to the world, if necessary. There are kayaks and paddle boards for your ocean exercise or to just enjoy on the water. Indoor and outdoor games and books for all ages.
