Wonderful stay

This place is a 10/10. It's huge even for 8 ppl. Fully stocked kitchen. Wonderful pool and outside areas. Great location. Fantastic property manager. I would encourage everyone to stay here. We will be back next year.

Great house and location!

We were a party of 6 adult friends staying at Casa Las Hermanas in February 2023. The location was perfect for us, just far enough to have some distance from the downtown yet close enough to walk for food, drinks, or to see the sunsets. The space worked very well, from the well-equipped kitchen, sleeping arrangements, pool and numerous outdoor areas—from a spacious main floor lounge to a large palapa. The house manager Laura was great to work with throughout and helped to set up transportation and even stowed our luggage for the day due to a late flight. Would highly recommend it for others considering San Pancho.

Fun in San Pancho

The property is wonderful and exceeded our expectations. It is on the edge of the “downtown” area but within easy walking distance of the beach, restaurants, butcher, grocery store and shops. There were 6 of us. 4 adults and 2 grandchildren, ages 6 and 9. The main home consists of two bedrooms, a children’s play area, a large kitchen and two sitting areas. There is also a covered outdoor sitting area just outside the main home by the pool where we would spend most of our time when we were at the home. The casita located at the back of the property is a bonus. Very spacious with a king bed, lots of closet space, dual sinks and a walk in shower. The pool is located in the courtyard which sits between the casita and the main home. The grandkids loved it and when they weren’t out and about, spent most of their at home time in it. The outdoor shower with bathroom attached is a great amenity. There is a palapa on the top of the main home which is a fine place to relax with gentle breezes rolling in. All things considered, a perfect place to spend a holiday.

Serene space and location

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our time in San Pancho. This property is impeccably designed and managed. The location is close enough to the action without the noise. The design and landscaping were very calming and well maintained. I hesitate to let others know how impressive this house is because we hope to come back regularly. It's much larger than we expected from the pictures and we had everything we needed. You can't go wrong with Casa Dos Hermanas or San Pancho.

Beautifully design inspired home, perfectly situated in the center of San Poncho

This is a wonderful property, perfectly situated only a few short blocks from the wonderful restaurants and beaches of San Poncho. What we loved: 1) The Home: The home is beautifully designed and decorated, reflecting the local culture and modern day conveniences. So many great areas of the house to sit down with a book or magazine and just relax. 2) The pool & pool house: The pool is perfect for adults and kids alike, with the Pool House being the perfect hide-away spot for in-laws & grand parents if on a family vacation. 3) The Neighborhood: Everything is just around the corner from this wonderful home. Seconds to amazing coffee, fresh fruit, and a host of wonderful local restaurants inspired by both local and global food cultures. 4) The hosts: Both the owners and the property manager locally were a delight to deal with and extremely helpful, especially when travelling with kids. They helped point us in the right direction for local activities and 'must see's'.

Since 2009 my family and I have been dividing our time between our two homes in Oakland, California and San Pancho, Nayarit in Mexico.
My husband, Robert, owns and operates a training company specializing in public speaking, communication and sales skills and my background is in graphic design.
We love adventure and new experiences and the fun journeys that life can take you on when you're open to exploring and meeting new people! We are so fortunate we have been able to raise our daughters bi-culturally.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

"Casa las Hermanas" (House of the Sisters in English) is where we have raised our two daughters since they were 2 and 4 years old. We rented the original property for many years before deciding to purchase it and do a major renovation and modernization. We have raised many chickens and local cats here, grown several crops of vegetables, bananas, papayas and limes in the old dirt backyard, all the while living without hot water, a washer or dryer, nor any other modern conveniences. Though we loved this simple way of life for those formative years, we eventually decided to invest in the property so that we could eventually turn it into a vacation rental while also enjoying some updating and modern conveniences ourselves. We like to say that we traded in chickens for a pool.

The unique benefit of our home is that you are literally in the heart of this charming seaside village surrounded by local charm, original San Pancho residents, chickens roaming the street as they have for decades, various street vendors, all while being a mere few blocks away from the beach. Many of our favorite restaurants and tacos stands are right down the street or around the corner where one can find fresh, innovative and creative cuisine, delicious jalapeño margaritas, local craft beer on tap, fresh produce and groceries! It's so nice to feel like you can experience the culture of Mexico while enjoying all the modern conveniences such as a modern bright kitchen, saline pool, TV and AC and in a beautiful, well-appointed home.
