La Casa Junto al Mar est située dans une communauté privée et fermée d’un complexe de plongée écologique. Ce bungalow de 3 chambres et 2 salles de bains a été entièrement rénové et situé à quelques pas de la plage, au milieu de magnifiques plantes et fleurs tropicales. Profitez de votre café du matin sur le porche en écoutant les oiseaux chanter et les vagues se briser sur le récif.

Les rénovations comprennent de magnifiques compteurs de quartz, de nouveaux appareils et des ventilateurs de plafond, pour n'en nommer que quelques-uns. La cuisine, la salle à manger et la salle familiale sont agencées de manière à laisser beaucoup de place à la famille et aux amis. Les familles apprécient tout particulièrement le pont blindé pour les repas en plein air. Les hauts plafonds avec persiennes et ventilateurs offrent une brise confortable même les jours les plus chauds.

Profitez du son relaxant des vagues et de la nature tout en profitant du soleil des Caraïbes depuis la piscine ou les chaises longues situées dans le bâtiment principal, à seulement une minute à pied. Le complexe propose des plongées et des plongées spectaculaires dans son magasin de plongée sur place. Profitez également du confort du restaurant, du bar et de la piscine partagée côté plage.

La communauté de Palmetto Bay s'étend sur 150 acres et assure la sécurité 24h / 24. Vous y trouverez un fabuleux quai à palapas, idéal pour faire du yoga, prendre un café le matin ou tout simplement vous balancer dans un hamac et vous détendre tout en écoutant les vagues. C'est aussi un excellent point de départ pour nager dans les récifs ou pêcher à la ligne. La propriété est entourée d'une nature préservée protégée et abrite de nombreux perroquets sauvages, agoutis, papillons et plus encore! Il y a beaucoup d'arbres fruitiers matures. Ils comprennent; variétés de mangue, papaye, noix de coco, noix de cajou, banane, citron vert, ananas, noni, amandes, corossol. Palmetto se trouve à quelques minutes des boutiques, des attractions et du parcours de golf Pete Dye, Black Pearl.

Best place to stay

We love the family atmosphere of Palmetto Bay! The place we rented was very clean and well maintained. The management was very helpful. The best place to scuba dive also. Go talk to Sam and Amanda to dive! The restaurant and bar is also top notch!

Excellent tropical vacation house!

This place was a tropical paradise! We loved the jungle! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was delicious and convenient. They even cooked up a red snapper that we had caught that day! Perfectly! Our cabin was everything we had hoped for. Comfortable beds and we appreciated AC at night!

So relaxing and Quiet

If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and slow your pace, this place is perfect. The dive shop was incredible, brewery and the cove were perfect close by options and we also had a local named Henry pick us up on the boat and take us down the beach to his restaurant. Our kids loved the pool and we loved our slow mornings on the porch with coffee watching all the lizards and hummingbirds. The only downfall is the noseeums be prepared with bug sprays and ointments! Don’t be afraid to venture out too, we found the island people to be so friendly and kind.

A retirement community

This is a quiet retirement community. Not really for big groups. The restaurant caters to the regulars and the bar tender also. Even after giving them 20-30 percent tips they never warmed up to our group. Bungalow was nice and location is good. Scuba shop is ok but I had a better experience at Sandy Bay Divers.

Restful Relaxing and Postcard Pretty

If you are looking for a sense of calmness and relaxation this is your spot. We loved the setting and quietness of the resort. The hustle and bustle of West Bay and West End are only a reasonable cab ride away. The house was as advertised. The onsite restaurant staff were lovely, food was good. Very “natural” and not commercialized. As with all of Roatan don’t forget the bug spray. We would return.

Short stay

We spent a wonderful few days in Palmetto Bay, the house was spacious, clean and comfortable. the Cove restaurant on site was very nice and the brewery within walking distance was a great option also.

Remote, peaceful, quiet

We had a group of girls from around the world meet up at palmetto bay. It is peaceful, remote and beautiful. The roatan brewery is across the road and is very good. The restaurant attached is very nice. The pool is small but good. The restaurant staff is fantastic. Stephanie, the concierge is very nice. We did utilize the scuba shop. They were fantastic. Drop your gear to them before you dive. Pick it up at their shop, rinsed and ready to go when you're done. They don't put tip on cc so have cash for that. You need a car or will have to pay LOTS for cab rides to go anywhere on your own. The sand flies are horrible so bring your deet or use coconut oil. They love suntan lotion.

Relax and unwind

Great location if you are looking for peace and quiet but a short drive to bars and restaurants in West End. Beautiful gardens with fruit trees and tropical flowers. Permanent residents are very friendly and helpful with advise for activities. Dive shop was very accommodating and fairly priced.

Paradise!!

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night getaway to Palmetto Bay. The location is great and very secluded. The place was very clean and well stocked. The employees are great and super helpful. Keep in mind that their is no AC in the great room and kitchen, only in the bedrooms. One negative is that the restaurant will close early if no one is there. We tried to get dinner at 7:30 and couldn’t. It overall it was a great vacation!

Relaxing and Peaceful

I stayed at Palmetto Bay with my sister and brother-in-law and my parents, we had a great time relaxing and doing some diving. The location was great, the house was as described. I would definitely go back. The host was very easy to reach with any questions or to give us suggestions. We had one issue with hot water, but they were there quickly to resolve it (within 15-30 minutes). This was just the relaxing no stress trip we needed.

Secluded and gated property

This property has 24 hour security and is located off the beaten path. Our bungalow was a few short steps to the beach, dive center, restaurant and bar. If you want a vacation experience in a private community this is a great place. There is a brewery just outside the gate that serves local craft beer and authentic island food that we visited twice on our trip. Shopping and restaurants were easy to get to by cab and most tour companies would send a van to take you to and from their attraction at no extra charge.

Bungalow Paradise

My granddaughter & I stayed here for 5 days. Besides being unable to get in touch with the property manager from the time I left the states until an hour & 1/2 after arrival, the stay was fabulous. If it been my first time to the island, that would’ve been very frustrating & I would not have known what to do but since id been to the location before, I knew the protocol. I love Roatan & I love Palmetto Bay. The bungalow was tucked into, what felt like, it’s own little jungle paradise. I sat out on the deck every morning & listened to all the birds & watched the hummingbirds fly from flower to flower in the garden. The whole front of the bungalow opened up & there were screen doors to let the breeze flow thru. That was good since there was no AC in the main part of the bungalow(I was unaware of that), which made it uncomfortable at times. The bedrooms were air conditioned so sleeping was very comfortable. It was just a short walk to the beach, pool, & restaurant that was located on the property. It was only 20 minutes from the West Bay Area & was an easy drive to get there. It’s also pretty close to Little French Key which was one of our favorite days. Overall, I would highly recommend staying in the bungalow at Palmetto Bay & would stay there again.

Perfect Private Paradise

Absolutely stunning property and the house was even better than expected! Roomy for the four of us (kids 16 & 13), well appointed with a lush jungle surrounding just steps from the gorgeous beach cove! The staff is by FAR the best on the island and we took advantage of the onsite restaurant and bar daily. Wonderful walks on the beach and even found a “natural pool” just west of the property-must see! Snorkel guide picked us up on the pier to explore the shipwreck just off the shore, fresh coconuts and all for the ride back. Get away from the cruise ships, experience the local hospitality and truly relax. Perfect week in paradise and highly recommend!!!!
