Charming cottage in excellent position

We have spent a relaxing week in Marseillan The cottage is very comfortable well equipped and in an excellent position. We know the area well and spent time visiting old haunts. There are plenty of interesting places to visit or just enjoy exploring the pretty village and port at leisure

There are plenty of interesting places to visit or you could just enjoy exploring the village and port at your leisure.

FABULOUS

Marseillan is a beautiful town on the famous Etang du Thau and an ideal location for travelling the south of France and Spain, it also has fabulous scenery and wonderful restaurants and bars, there are also plenty of shops and supermarkets. The house has a stunning view of the Etang, where water sports are going on and you can see Sete is in the distance. On arrival the house was clean, it is well maintained and there is easy contact with the caretaker if required. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend.

You cannot ask for more

Marseillan is on the south coast, near to Agde, Sete and Meze. If you need larger places, there is Beziers, Narbonne and Montpellier in easy reach. There is just so much to see and do in this region, we were at this Gite in 2015 and 2016, now thinking we will return in 2017. The Gite, although small compared to many, is lovely, well equipped, a home from home. Situated at the end of the harbour car park in a quiet road. Nothing beats sitting on the verandah in the early evening of a hot day, with a glass of wine or a meal, with the very few local people passing wishing you 'Bon appetite'. Lovely restaurants and bars in the town, everybody so friendly. Also home to the Noilly Prat factory where you can tour and sample. Try one of their sorbet / ice creams, incredible taste. We are very experienced 'Giters' having spen the last 10 years or so doing about 6 Gites each year. This one is at the top of the list for us. Would you recommend this hotel to a friend? Yes.

Home from home - but with sunshine

This little house is just perfect....a well-equipped kitchen, a dining table big enough for entertaining, relaxing seating and comfy beds. The master bedroom has an amazing view across the etang. A host of restaurants are just a few hundred yards away, clustered around the picturesque port. The village is well-served for shopping with a small supermarket, a great butcher, several greengrocers and, of course, a whole bunch of bakeries. Add to this La plagette and you never need to leave Marseillan for the duration of your stay...although...maybe you should...there are a myriad exciting places to visit within just a few kilometers...but a review of them will have to wait for another time.
