Nestled in the heart of the highly sought-after Tahoe Park neighborhood, The Laird House offers the perfect blend of comfort, style, and convenience. Just a short walk to the exclusive Tahoe Park Private Beach, you’ll have over 3 acres of pristine lakefront access to enjoy. Plus, it’s only a quick drive to the charm of Tahoe City.

Modern Comfort Meets Mountain Charm. Step inside to discover soaring ceilings and an open-concept floorplan that creates a bright and welcoming space. Recently updated throughout, this home features: Hardwood flooring, solid wood doors, recently remodeled bathrooms, washer and dryer for guest convenience (in garage).

Cook, Dine, and Gather: The updated kitchen boasts granite tile countertops, stainless steel appliances, including a gas range/oven, and dishwasher. A breakfast bar with barstool seating, and the dining table that comfortably seats 6.

Unwind in the living room with leather sofas, a wood-burning stove, and a large flat-screen TV with cable (including HBO, Showtime, NFL Network, CNN, MSNBC, and more). There’s also a Blu-ray DVD player, a surround sound stereo system with CD and cassette capabilities, and high-speed internet.

Outdoor Living at Its Best. Enjoy the serene Tahoe air on either the front deck with redwood patio furniture and a gas BBQ, back deck with a patio table and a private hot tub. There's also a fully fenced backyard for pre-approved dogs — perfect for families.

Adventure Nearby: Located just ½ mile from public tennis courts and with easy access to hiking and biking trails, this home is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. In the winter months, you’re a short drive from Palisades Tahoe/Alpine Ski Resort, Homewood Mountain Resort, and Northstar at Tahoe ski resorts.

Parking & Access: Level access—great for year-round visits with parking for up to 3 vehicles.

This home does not allow any parties or events as this home is in a residential neighborhood, and quiet time is from 9pm-8am. Thanks for your cooperation!

Great for ski trips!

Some friends and I stayed for a weekend during ski season. The house was clean, well-stocked, and the hot tub was fantastic after a long day on the mountain.

The beds were comfortable but thank heaven we brought fans for each room as it was a very hot week.Our only grip was a very cranky neighbor who lives there and obviously does NOT like renters. She actually took pictures! Thank heaven she was gone for most of our week. Nice house though and pretty well equipped!

The property in general is clean and nice. Shower water flow in the main bath is too small, need to improve. There was an fire alarm buzzing the first night, however the host was able to get someone came and fixed the next day. The most disappointing part is power outage started around 3am at the last night till we left at 10am still not restored. While I understand it is out of owner's control for sure, we still look for the solution rather than "nothing can do". One suggestion, as you are doing the business, you want to continue invest, such as put a Tesla Powerwall or a gas generator to handle those unexpected situations etc.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback and for noting that the home is clean and comfortable overall. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We’re glad we were able to promptly address the alarm issue in the owner’s closet by having a technician come out as soon as it was reported. Regarding the shower flow, the bathroom was recently remodeled, and we’ll be sure to pass your comments along to the homeowner as part of our ongoing maintenance review. Power outages in the Tahoe area are unfortunately weather-related and outside of a homeowner’s control. To help guests stay comfortable during these situations, the home is equipped with a gas stove for cooking, a wood-burning stove with firewood available in the garage to keep the house warm, and flashlights throughout the cabin. Local restaurants and markets nearby also operate on generators during these events. Thank you again for your stay and for your helpful feedback, we truly value it.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience in Tahoe was wonderful but we would not stay at Laird house again. The best part of it was the proximity (walking distance) and access to the park/beach HOA at Westshore. The front room and kitchen were fine and so was the deck area. But the house needs some serious TLC in other ways.

A Cozy Winter Stay

Great cabin for families with small kids!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Laird House was near perfect for our stay in Lake Tahoe for a wedding. We have two very active small children, and this cabin was the perfect combination of comfortable, cozy, and safe (and the Star Trek poster was a nice touch to the decor). It was easy to "baby proof" the few areas that needed it, and it being only one story saved us some safety worries. The backyard was nice to have, too, though we only used it for lunch one day since we had access to the lovely park besides the lake. The only complaint I had was that we had a partial power outage the day of the wedding, but Julie took care of us quickly and courteously, which was especially impressive on a Saturday. Also, please note that if you or your kids are scared of dogs, there is a dog bark alarm system to help keep away bears (easy to turn off, but definitely startling upon arrival).Next time we're in Lake Tahoe, we're definitely going to rent the Laird House again.

The property is on a quiet street and the interior is really cozy. The kitchen was well appointed with everything you need cook any meal. We are already planning a stay here next summer.

Reviewer Comments: location was great! the maintenance of the home was NOT good... we've stayed there several years because of the location, but last year tried another place because of weak porch steps at Laird's. we're concerned it'd break under someone's step... but were told the place had been up-graded a bit so tried it again this year :( the kitchen cabinets were nice, but the porch's step problems had extended to further into the support of the porch. the water heater was not consistent... early on in our stay, after dinner and dishes, there was no hot waters for showers 'til morning. was not a problem later in the week.......

A pleasant stay in the Tahoe Park area

The homes are very close to each other but it neighbors all seem pretty respectful. For the most part the home was very clean ... I do agree to Master Shower is gross so we simply didn’t use it (there is another shower). The hallways are dark but nothing a light or open door couldn’t fix. The best part was the Tahoe Park beach and park area ... our kids loved it. However, the Tahoe Park Association closed it to all “renters” the last 3 days we were there which was VERY disappointing since we paid for the house that gave us access. Very frustrating :( Hoping we can get a credit of some sort. Aside from that ... a pleasant stay was had by all. Thank you.
