The home and property were just amazing, and even better than the pictures! Our hosts were very proactive and detailed in all communications from start to finish, providing guidance on transportation, food, activities, amenities of the home, and all of it was extremely helpful for non-native folks who did not know the area. The ocean and beachfront access and view were simply amazing. both from the inside of the home and from the back-covered porch area. The location is quiet and peaceful, with only the sound of the waves breaking on the shore with a lovely breeze to accompany it. The home was extremely clean, modern, and absolutely beautiful in every respect. There was not a single thing missing that could have made the stay more comfortable and enjoyable. Our caretaker was very attentive and periodically checked in with us to ensure everything was in order. The local islanders were very welcoming and happy that we were visiting, and extended their hospitalities in abundance. A short walk down the beach will bring you to Pelicans by the Sea restaurant and bar, and has amazing food and drink selections. The staff there were very friendly and we had great conversations getting to know one another. We also enjoyed the Conch Festival, with lots of local dishes and flavors of the Bahamas. We would definitely like to return again, with additional family members if possible! Just a fantastic location and property that far exceeded our expectations!

An absolute 5-star stay and easily one of the most rejuvenating trips we have ever taken. We take a long weekend trip just about every six weeks, and from wheels-down to wheels-up, this was hands-down the most seamless, relaxing getaway we’ve had in years. Three days here truly felt like a full week off the grid.The house and the setting delivered exactly what we were craving: total, peaceful seclusion. Pelican Point is very quiet and remote, so it may not be for travelers looking for resort crowds, nightlife, or walking access to commercial strips. But if you want miles of untouched shoreline, serene calm, and a wide-open beach essentially all to yourself, this place is heaven. We did have one minor issue during our stay, but the host handled and resolved it quickly.A few practical tips for future guests to make your stay perfect:Footwear: Water shoes are an absolute must for exploring the rocky coastline and wading out. For us, it was calm seas so there was broken glass that washed up but hadn't been beaten by the waves - lots of sharp edges. Bug Prep: Because the no-see-ums come out when the breeze dies down. Pack plenty of bug spray and consider throwing a small portable fan in your luggage for the patio.Logistics: The entire process—the quick direct flight, grabbing a rental car at the airport, and provisioning groceries beforehand—could not have been easier.We loved every minute of our time here and are already planning our next trip back. Highly recommend!

When you first drive up to the house and see that beautiful teal blue water it’s breathtaking. But then you walk inside and the view is simply amazing! Loved this house and the view was wonderful!

This house is AMAZING!!! And it has EVERYTHING you could possibly want and more! Miles of beach on both sides and you won't see anyone out there. The view is picture perfect! Quiet and relaxing and the host is GREAT!

Our stay was magical. This was the perfect place to have some family time and get away from everything. We so enjoyed the privacy and expanse of open beach to walk and swim. The ocean is steps from the back door and you can sit comfortably on the covered porch for hours. The restaurant a few doors down is a must for good food, welcoming atmosphere and relaxed vibe. The house is beautiful and has everything you need to be comfortable and enjoy the beauty of nature all around. As others have said, make sure to get all your groceries before coming to the house because it is a trek to go back to Freeport. The seclusion is absolutely part of the magic.

We were looking for a quiet place to spend a week. We wanted a great beach with few people, and a lot of room to walk. Our stay here was all of those things and more. The house was fantastic, the location was perfect, and communication and support throughout the trip was great. Highly recommend.

The Pelican Point house exceeded our expectations, beautiful home and beautiful beach! The owners were most helpful providing needed information before our arrival and promptly responded when we had a question after our arrival. The caretaker lived nearby and responded with assistance on the two occasions we called him. We look forward to our next visit to Pelican Point and the Lee Shores beach house!

This is a fantastic home with access to a beautiful beach. You can walk the beach for miles and only see a few people the whole day. The home has everything you need including two kayaks. The restaurant next door, Pelicans by the Sea, has wonderful fresh fish and casual fare. The food is great and the staff warm and welcoming. The caretaker, Danny, is a thoughtful host and can answer any questions as they arise. Perfect if you are looking for a quiet getaway. The 45-minute drive from Freeport is easy and the national park along the way is definitely worth a day trip.

Perfect Secluded Honeymoon Spot

Everything was amazing, from communication after booking to the home itself and gorgeous Pelican Point. The location is perfect for a quiet vacation and close enough to Freeport that you can create the exact getaway you’re looking for. And, as the other reviews have noted, Danny is an exceptional host who made us feel right at home from the time we arrived. We can’t wait to return!

Pelican point beach home

Beautiful beach home with Atlantic Ocean at your door step. Comfortable and modern house with everything you need to have a wonderful stay. Danny was spot on with any issues or questions during our stay. One note, If you are going to grill outside you will need to pick up charcoal in Freeport.

This Beach House was the perfect place for our group of friends and family. Being right on the water, we swam, snorkeled, kayaked and fished every day. The sunrises and sunsets were amazing. We started our day on the front porch watching the sunrise and ended each day on the porch as the sun was going down. Pelican Point is a small town and the locals were so friendly to us, it was a pleasure getting to know them. The local restaurant "Pelican on the Beach" has great food and drinks and only a short walk on the beach from the house. If you're looking for some fun on the water, Shervin Tate is a local guide and pastor on Sweeney Key. We went out on his boat to harvest Conch, Lobster and drift snorkel over coral, which was an amazing experience. We enjoyed the whole experience so much, we did a second time. This property was the perfect place to relax and unwind and get back to nature. It had everything we needed and more. Danny, the property manager was a big help giving us a lay of the land and things to do while we were in the Grand Bahama. We are all looking forward to going back.

Spring Break!

Family of 5 had a wonderful vacation on Pelican Point. The house is well equipped and Danny the caretaker is readily available for any additional needs. As advertised this location is a bit off the beaten path and is perfect for a quality family vacation away from the hustle of everyday life!! Weather was perfect, no issues with bugs, and caught some fish!!
