Peaceful paradise

Spacious condo with wonderful ocean views, whale watching from large lanai, well equipped kitchen. Convenient parking and close to beaches and walking options. Great stay!

Girl trip

This condo is in a great location and it was an easy walk to the beach’s. The view was awesome and we saw turtles, dolphins and whales from the lanai. The only recommendation from the adults in the twin beds is the mattresses could use an update. We would definitely stay here again though and we really enjoyed our visit.

Ideal location in Poipu

We loved the deck and pool overlooking the ocean where we could see sea turtles and on occasion dolphins! We could walk to shipwreck beach and poipu beach in under 10 minutes. The grounds were well cared for! The pool was a lovely temperature in late October. Thank you so much for having us!!

Wonderful!

I stayed here with my 2 daughters and daughter in law for a girls trip. We had great time. View was beautiful. Very clean. We had everything we needed. They even picked up my grocery order! Thanks so much for a wonderful place to stay.

Great location with very nice lanai

Very comfortable condo with all amenities in kitchen, washer and dryer, and beach chairs, towels, and boogie boards. The lanai is comfortable and very large with ocean views. We enjoyed the pool, oceanfront deck and BBQ grill. Quiet except for construction workers onsite who were not respectful, which was our only turnoff.

Great overall!

We had a lovely stay in this comfortable and well equipped condo! The building has only 12 units thus felt private and homey. Spacious lanai, ocean views from indoors and out. Viewing deck for enjoying sunsets, sea turtles and whales.Grounds are nicely maintained.

Oceanfront condo

Great property with ocean view, full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. Lot of amenities including boogey boards which was great. Only complaint is that kitchen/living room had cockroaches and there were also ants in the kitchen.

Great home away from home

We really enjoyed the view from our porch . . .with the ocean breeze keeping us cool. The kitchen was well stocked... Even had a kettle and a great tea selection for the usually neglected tea drinker. Thanks!

Perfect stay!

Perfect location being between the two best beaches on the South Shore. Boogie boards, chairs and an umbrella were supplied and they got used nearly every day. Communication was flawless. The views are breathtaking. I watched the sea turtles in the surf from the shared deck overlooking the pool The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. We save a lot of money by not going out to eat. Perfect place to stay!

Aloha, the stay was amazing! Patti and the entire team from the welcoming staff were excellent! Communication was very easy and prompt. The property was beautiful and well located. A perfect small step from everywhere we wanted to be yet still have our own paradise and quiet. Excellent Family Trip

We loved our stay in Poipu Palms. The condo had beach chairs, a body board, and an ice chest that made our days perfect on each of the very close beaches. There was plenty of ice (thank you for the extra ice trays in the freezer). The large private deck was wonderful for relaxing. The condo deck and pool were outstanding. We watched the waves and sea turtles each morning and evening. The BBQ had everything to make dinner and enjoy a sunset meal looking out at the horizon line. Clean and super comfortable for everyone in the family. Thank you!

Perfect vacation

This was the most perfect vacation. The apartment sits on the ocean, it is beautifully appointed with everything you could wish for. The help we received before our trip was fantastic and the journey from England was definitely worth it. If you are thinking of visiting Kauai then this is the pace to stay.We were there 17-24 December 2011 and did not want to leave. Val & Mike. Derbyshire England.

This property is in dire need of upkeep. Took photos and videos of condo condition - blinds that don’t work, window screens that are falling off with huge gaps for bugs to get through, dirty area rugs, broken window treatment in living room, dust bunnies, gardeners who left the deck filled with palm tree debris (we swept it up).

Very nice, clean and beautiful view

The only complaint we would have is that the bedrooms have a lot of noise that comes in the windows. Windows have no barrier or soundproof to block out noise. People are walking by and talking really loudly and sometimes there is a crazy truck that drives up the hill I think going to a construction site. Hopefully this is only temporary. Other than that this place was a great spot to hang out with family and get away.

Kauai vacation

Furnishings were a little dated but that was ok. It was very clean and that was important to us. Appliances were in good shape and clean. The owners thought of everything ...cooler bag, beach shares, beach umbrella, soaps, detergent. Don't bother packing your binoculars. They supply those too. We watched the sunset every night for 2 weeks from the deck. The view is beautiful and we doubt you can find anywhere on the island where your condo is closer to the ocean. We had a great vacation. The only thing missing was a cocktail shaker, but I improvised!!! Thank you Rod!

Heaven

This was truly our prayers answered. An old school friend and I looked to meet and find some peace from some stressful times and we we couldn't have been happier with the accomodation and the wonderful way we were treated by the host and the Parish. Our only wish was that we could have stayed forever! We weren't able to sign the guestbook as between us we couldn't find a pen but I'd be happy to provide an account for the host as it seems only decent :) Thank you so so much. It may have taken a week to recover from jetlag but this was an experience I simply will never regret. Thank you. Kim Macaskill

A bit dated but very comfortable and functional

This was our first visit to Kauai and the Poipu Palms served our needs perfectly. The deck was nice to sit out on for the morning coffee and the view is good but not as great as the pictures would lead you to believe. The common area lanai was fun to lounge in and we used the pool every evening to cool off and relax. I was a bit dismayed at the Parrish charge on top of what VRBO stated so that was a bit of a wake-up call. I will be sure to be more aware the next time around. The sign on the front door of the condo requested that we remove our shoes before entering but my husband's shoes were stolen when we did that. All in all, though, we loved our trip to Kauai and the location and comfort of the condo.

Lovely, peaceful, comfortable, convenient spot!

Owner and rental property staff were very friendly and accommodating. Earlier reviews regarding the view and appeal of the lanai, as well as the pool and deck are accurate. Pool is small, not built for lap swimming, but enjoyable, nonetheless. A new deck was being built at the end of our stay, so I expect it will be even nicer. Furnishings are very adequate, but not what i would term premier. The unit is pleasant and clean. meeting our most important criteria, reasonable price, lovely peaceful view with the ocean music we craved, convenient location, comfortable beds. The twin beds in the second bedroom can be made into a king. If you need a second large bed, in lieu of the twins, be sure to emphasize that at the time of your reservation. If you are happy with casual, and not expecting a luxury condo, you will be happy you chose this condo. We are. We used Fathom Five for scuba diving, and Napali Catamaran for cruising and snorkeling along the Napali coast, very satisfied with both. Highly recommend reviewing the blue reference book Ultimate Guide to Kauai that Rod has on the coffee table, since it has been put together by local folks and is a more current edition than ours. Amazon has them if you want to bone up before your trip. We would definitely stay here again.

The trade winds, tropical birds and crashing waves provide the backdrop to our private destination. We love relaxing by the pool that feels like part of the ocean where we watch the sea turtles feed on the rocks below. And with a small 12 unit building it's never crowded. As active beachgoers we love walking down to Poipu Beach and either find ourselves swimming, boogie boarding or reading a book with our feet in the sand...with Brennecke's to provide a great Burger or cocktail. Some evenings we like the beautiful seaside walk to the Grand Hyatt for happy hour drinks and Pupus at the Stevenson library or dinner at Tide Pools. Or sometimes we just stay in, cook at home and enjoy passing time by candlelight out on the lanai.
