Appartement entièrement autonome idéal pour un couple. La plage de Southshore offre un terrain de jeu incroyable pour les surfeurs, les planchistes, regarder les kitesurfers, les amoureux de la plage, nager dans la mer, marcher, observer les oiseaux ou tout simplement profiter de l'emplacement calme et sauvage. L'arrêt de bus pour la ville est juste en face de l'allée. Le village local à 10 minutes en voiture de la propriété. Une piscine et un espace barbecue sont partagés avec la maison principale et situés en face de l'appartement. Cette propriété est fantastique pour les touristes souhaitant découvrir une belle banlieue de la plage de Christchurch à proximité du centre-ville mais une retraite calme et paisible. The host was extremely pleasant and helpful. The rental was clean and in great shape and the fully equipped kitchen was a joy to cook in. One minute walk to a gorgeous beach and very laid back neighborhood and vibe to the area. Only 20 minutes drive to downtown. Well stay there again!

Quiet getaway!

Loved our stay here! Location to the beautiful beach and estuary walkways was perfect.The property was clean, spacious & handy to transport. It had everything we needed for cooking and plenty of clothing storage. We didn't use the swimming pool but it looked lovelyI would recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet getaway!

The property is pretty much as described, key areas were clean although for me the oven, blinds in living area and outside garden area needed to be tidied.

We stayed two months

We occupied spotless, well equipped above ground basement 1 bedroom suite for 2 months in summertime weather. Would need larger heater in winter months. Basic TV and weak WiFi. Host was helpful and easy to work with and any issues were dealt with promptly. Pool and area was spotless but water is unheated so cold. Garden needs weeding but otherwise interiors are exactly as advertised and shown. Kitchen is very well equipped. Beach is to die for. Parking is easy. Neighbourhood is very safe. Good value. We hope to return in coming years.

While the Beach Flat is not “super fancy,” it was VERY clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfy and we liked the full size kitchen. And, you cannot beat being able to walk right out to the beach. Loved being able to “host” Robert’s dog, Jazz, for brief periods - she is “an oldie but a goodie.” ??

Property was quite tired and needs some tender loving care. Cupboards cluttered, carpets worn, windows needed cleaning and privacy is very lacking due to lack of window coverings/ blinds etc in kitchen and bathroom. Despite the mention of a washing machine on property listing, this is actually in the owners home and not in the property you are renting. That said there is a note that you could use their machine, we were not comfortable with that set up so used a launderette in the local town.

We wanted a quiet end to our tour and walks on the beach and the secluded nature of this location was ideal. Appreciated the full kitchen options and BBQ. Robert might want to check pepper and some past date seasoning option left by others as they are nice but past dates on a few. Loved Jazz the dog stopping by to say hi. Seems right at home with guests.

Nice beach location with easy access, although wear long pants walking thru the brush to get to the beach. The bath and bedroom were clean and the bed very comfortable. The kitchen had most everything we needed. Property needs some cleaning (drapes and kitchen) and is showing its wear. Lacks privacy with windows facing pathway and stairs for property owner and family and can hear them moving about since property is directly below (as described in listing). Did enjoy regular visits from Jazz.
