Chalet spacieux de luxe dans un emplacement privilégié

Ce chalet récemment reconstruit occupe un emplacement très central, juste en face du Arrowtown Old Gaol et offre une vue imprenable sur les collines environnantes. A deux minutes à pied de la rue principale ou des magnifiques promenades riveraines de la rivière Arrow.
La maison a été finie selon un cahier des charges très élevé et possède des meubles et des accessoires en chêne haut de gamme, y compris des appareils de cuisine haut de gamme (Bosch, Siemens, four Rangemaster, plaques à induction, etc.) ainsi que des planchers et des menuiseries en chêne. Haut débit illimité.
Il y a 8 portes françaises dans toute la propriété et celles-ci, associées aux énormes fenêtres de toit du salon, donnent à la maison un réel sentiment de lumière et d'espace.

En hiver, le chalet à double / triple vitrage est exceptionnellement chaleureux et confortable avec un feu à bois (bois fourni) dans le salon, une thermopompe et des radiateurs muraux Noirot dans chaque chambre ainsi qu'un chauffage au sol dans les salles de bain.

En été, le jardin nouvellement aménagé sert de piège au soleil et offre de nombreuses places à l'extérieur pour profiter des roses, de la lavande et des herbes ainsi qu'un coin repas extérieur avec barbecue en pierre et à gaz.
Un système VRC maintient la maison bien ventilée et à une température optimale.
Arrowtown offre aux voyageurs toute l'année une base idéale pour explorer tout ce que la belle région d'Otago a à offrir. Arrowtown est à seulement 15 minutes en voiture de Queenstown et à 50 minutes de Wanaka. Le lac idyllique de Hayes - idéal pour nager et faire du bateau n’est qu’à 10 minutes.

Arrowtown est calme et pittoresque avec une riche histoire d’exploitation aurifère. La magnifique rivière Arrow traverse la ville, également un lieu de baignade idéal en été. Il y a aussi de nombreux magasins, cafés et restaurants et un cinéma délicieux.

Golf, vignobles, sentiers de randonnée et pistes cyclables (faisant partie de la piste cyclable de Wakatipu) complètent le tableau pour l’été avec les trois domaines skiables (Coronet Peak, Remarkables et Cardrona) à votre porte pour l’hiver.

A Week in Arrowtown

Stayed here in winter, there's a cosy wood fireplace. Beautiful accommodation. Short walk to the middle of town. Friendly host, great communication. Highly recommended.

Picture Perfect Cottage in the heart of Arrowtown

This property was perfect. Well maintained and very spacious. We had a fantastic stay. Only a short stroll to the main street and restaurants, and an easy drive to anywhere in Queenstown. Liz's communication and attention to detail were superb. We'd highly recommend.

Highly recommend

I stayed with my husband, infant, and parents. The property was very well set up and felt like home away from home during our time in Arrowtown. The location allows easy walking (even our toddler could walk do it!) to restaurants, shops, and an extensive trail network, but is still private, quiet and peaceful.the host was very helpful in sssisting with our stay. Would stay again!

Welcoming luxurious cottage close to township with very helpful owner

We had a lovely stay for the week of the NZ Golf Open. Like being at home. All the facilities we required were here. The first day was raining and cold and we lit the fire. Then the other days got warmer and warmer and we used the fan or air conditioner or opened all of the doors, so we were always comfortable. Well insulated cottage with a very welcoming feel. Very quiet. Would stay again.

Location is wonderful, toxic cleaning odor in house that did not diffuse away with windows open

Arrowtown is a unique and wonderful town. The cottage is in walking distance to everything...shops, restaurants, market and the river. Upon arriving in the cottage there was an overwhelming odor of a cleaning solvent emanating mostly from the laundry room. It smelled like mothballs to the extreme. I opened windows and doors to air out the house. By the third day of my visit, I woke up to a full blown asthma attack. The dishwasher in the kitchen needs to be anchored to the cabinetry. The entire dishwasher falls forward when door is opened.

Well, I’m quite taken aback to receive this feedback, especially given I feel I did my utmost to help this guest with all her queries and demands, including making several concessions for her which were never acknowledged. She did tell me she was unwell during her stay and tested herself for Covid 3 times so I wonder if this interfered with her sense of smell as no one has ever complained of cleaning product odour in the 10 years I have been letting the property. I accept the dishwasher tips forward slightly when it is being emptied but it really is not a big issue. We will however make sure that it is more securely tethered for future guests. I am pleased that her criticisms weren’t enough to stop her from requesting another night on the last day of her stay. I replied to her request with a discounted price but she did not respond to me that day and I had to make a toll call via the States to find out that she had booked elsewhere in Queenstown. She was also disappointed that the late check out I offered her was 11 am and not the 1pm she had misread on my message. That said, she did leave the house very neat and tidy which I appreciated. I have a lot of repeat business and everyone that stays here seems to love the cottage and its garden so I hope future guests go by the previous excellent feedback I have received rather than this review.

Jacks Place - Arrowtown

A lovely spot in a great location, high quality, clean accommodation generously stocked with supplies. A couple of minor recommendations; a dishcloth; facecloths - I can appreciated the concern with makeup but what about a dark face cloth?; a few more clothes hangers. We would recommend this to others wishing to stay in Arrowtown. Thank you Liz.

Jack's cottage is a very comfortable, homey cottage with everything that is needed for a holiday home, including well equipped kitchen, great living space and lots of chopped wood for the fire - it was cold outside! It is very close to Arrowtown, which is another plus as both we and the kids love not always having to get in the car to go out. We hope to go back.
